@@marcus_motors_ red, to match the stitching on the handbrake gator and seats. I did initially fit it without the cover, but got annoyed that it automatically turned on with the car and it had a blue light in the connectors, so had to take it all apart to fit the cover on. Cest la vie
Just fitted mine but also added one to to the vent at the rear off car. There's no ashtray on my vent. On my veloce 2018 the connection clips are not standard spades so had to improvise.
Hi, I can't get the 12V socket out, there's a little black piece of plastic that holds the socket and is too big to get through the hole, not sure how to do now, there's not much room
Hi? I don't have one. But if it's going behind or near the rear view mirror, I would tuck into the headliner, down the pillar then to the fuse box in the drivers footwell. Then piggy back on a source that works with the ingnition or interior lights 👍🏻
Hi mate, there's no end of variants with and without cables in the pack, I just went with the look and didn't use the wires. If you watch from about 3:20 once I'd taken the connector block off, it's just the two connections 👍
was just wondering about the reliability. I had one once that played up and would blow the car fuse every time it was used. Im fitting one a the front and cutting a hole to fit the other at the back near to the rear vent so kids have their own usb charging.
Ahhh got ya, I mean I haven't had any problems and I can't see it wearing as it's not a moving part if you know what I mean. But only had it on 9 months, so that as far as I can vouch for haha
@@marcus_motors_ Just considering doing it. Black and white makes sense I suppose for pos/neg. Hopefully a Prius is the same :) Thanks for the response!
Yeah sorry mate I honestly can't remember 😂 or see if there's a diagram for the wiring colours in your specific car or possibly on a forum if you get stuck
Is is the original one? Mine didn't have a locking nut on the back like the new one has. Can't you get you phone and try and take photos with flash on or anything?
That loose terminal could contact the uncovered ground terminal easily. Better to cover it with some heat shrink.
you should really explain the wire for people who dont know that it is important to plug into the right prong. come on now.
I was about to cut the whole wire and put a new connector. Thank you for this vid. I just have to remove it like you did. ❤
Saved a bit of work then! Nice one 👍
@@marcus_motors_ yes sir. All the best.
Good job mate ,very helpful videos. Thank you.
Thanks Apostolus, hopefully have time soon to get some more done haha
Just fitted mine, looks lovely. Thanks
Good! Glad it went alright, what colour did you go for?

Same here. At least you got it sorted
Thanks mate!
Simple and easy replacement. Great video
Thanks, glad it helped
@@marcus_motors_ ya very good video . Do two of the wires have 12v?
As in the 2 that wires I used? They're the original feed for the 12v socket if that's what yoy mean, yesh
You can run an extension to the boot, too.
Thanks for this nice & useful idea !!!
Did you change yours?
Perfect video, ordered it
Hope it goes well

Rear as in boot, or you have an extra in the back fro passengers? Sorry it didn't help much haha atleast you got there
So those two cables that connect to the lighter it does not matter which one goes to the right and which one to the left?
of course it matters. positive to positive and negative to negative. read instructions and know your cable color meanings.

Not the thin plastic nut?
Marcus Motors, do you have video of where to connect the DVR? If the camera is placed on the windshield and you need to hide the cable. Many thanks!

Great job, great video now get the Hoover out😂
😂 I hate doing the interiors, outside all day long haha
But you didn't even fit the red and wire that comes with the USB at all? I don't get how to fit it on

How did you know which wire was for illumination and which post was positive/negative?
Can't remember if it was stamped on the connections or I went by colours and eliminated the 3rd 😂 you had trouble doing yours?
