    Thanks a lot. My girlfriend will probably inherit a V50 1.6d that is needing a little TLC and I guess your channel will be a great help

    I had a hard time finding the same set but for the V50, so I bought the S40 and hope for the best, should be the same in my opinion....

      Yes they should have the same light fittings, might be different for the boot space though

    It would be great if you mentioned the length of the bulbs you installed in each application, for example the vanity mirror bulbs.

      I believe it’s 31mm but if you get a kit from eBay they will give you all the bulbs you need to convert to LED

    Going to do the same on my S40N 2006 a really easy upgrade.
    Are the bulb adapters included in the kit for the map lights in the ceiling?
    I dont like that the dimming seems to flicker in your video. Is it doing that in real life or just on the camera?

    • @db192
      @db192  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, yes the adapters come as part of the kit. There are 6 of them. The lights do slightly flicker but it’s barely noticeable, it is made a lot worse by the camera due to the frame rate. We have a boat called Orfeous. 😁

    FFS where do you get these adaptors from. Purchased the LEDs from AliExpress but no bloody bulb adaptors!!!!

    • @db192

      I bought just the leds first and came across the same problem! Look for a set specifically for the S40 and the adaptors should come with it.

      Definitely worth checking the fuses. They should be under the steering wheel if it’s right hand drive. Or might be to the right side of the engine bay. If you Google S40 fuse location it should have pictures on where to find them.

      Checked the fuses? If it’s an LED festoon bulbs try swapping the ends around as they will only work when inserted one way. Bit like a plus and minus on a AA battery

      I did miss out the glove box I’m sorry, hopefully once you have replaced all the other lights in the cabin it should give you the confidence and enough experience to give it a go. It should simply pop out with a pry tool then it’s just a case of replacing the bulb in a similar way to the others. Let me know how you get on and thank you for your comment!
