I am a lifelong Catholic and have never heard any priest discuss Holy Violence! Thank you, Father! You certainly gave me something to ponder on!
Unfortunately my brethren being a life long Catholic nowadays doesn’t necessarily mean we know our faith as we should 😞
The average NO priest won't or can't preach about it. And the dribble presented to us by most modern day wannabe shrinks certainly would not consider Holy Violence. Read the classics going back to the Church Fathers, expect nothing from the NO pulpit.

I have been led to firmly, with raised voice, to tell the demons harrassing my nephew, that if they don't leave him, I shall have them punished! My nephew said
" wow Aunty your prayers are powerful, they have gone" ! The Holy Spirit brought these words from my mouth, as they were causing him awful migraines, & I had had enough of them! Praise God!
There is so much to learn from St. Benedict alone! Learning about our predecessors is humbling

As I understand it, evil spirits hate to feel pain. If they are possessing a person, yes slapping them will move the evil spirit off them, at least for a short time.
