I have a Saint Benedict medal that I was able to get blessed by Bishop Athanasius Scheinder when he visited my city to do a retreat at a retreat center & then a special holy hour at the local Newman center. Before the end of the evening, which included a question and answer session in the Newman Center basement, I asked him if he would bless my St Benedict medal and he did.

I have Saint Benedict’s Metal hanging on my outside door knob, to protect our home from evil.
It’s beautiful. It’s on wooden beads.
I have a door hanger as well, but its on my front door on the inside. It has a Benedict medal, crucifix and miraculous medal. Got it blessed last year by my tlm priest, after I was anointed the day before foot surgery.
I too have one outside on my door in a wreath I have hanging there,also one round my neck , beautiful medal thank you I enjoyed this 🙏🏻🐝🌹xx

I grew up going to Catechism and had my 1st communion, but was never confirmed. I believe I can go to confession, but I’m sure I can’t receive the Eucharist. I’m not really sure how to proceed.
I recently purchased a rosary, and I had it blessed. I found out that it contains a St Benedict medal, and had further blessings bestowed upon it. I pray the rosary, and I feel as though it helps me. Am I wrong to do so since I don’t go to church or participate in the sacraments? Forgive me if my terminology is incorrect. I’m 56 now, and it’s been a very long time since I stopped going to church.
