Remember test spirits even in dreams via Church tchg. Up to God whether a soul rests and a candle a sign of the light of Christ.) Condolences.
I grew up with the lighting of candles on Mondays for the souls of the deceased. It was called acender velas pras almas. My father never missed a Monday mass, and the lighting of candles to the souls of the deceased. My church has an area where we light candle offerings to the deceased.
When you have such a dream/vision, say blessed be Jesus and if the angel repeats it, the angel is of light. If there is no repetition of Blessed be Jesus, it is a demon in your dreams. This is from exorcist Fr. Ripperger.
Hello Yvonne. The candles are not required to be of beeswax, but it is often noted that beeswax is very pure and of high quality, and therefore preferred by many.
Hi i am catholic and i have never came across the idea of our lady was present at the last supper of our lord. Can you please explain it to me because it's in the bibel and i can't find any other catholic writing over the internet.
Hello. Indeed, the Bible is silent on this point, but that doesn't mean that Mary or the other Holy Women were not present at the Last Supper. In fact, the Paschal Lamb was always eaten by the family (Exod. 12:3-4) and others were invited only when the members of the family were insufficient in number. So, there is no reason to suppose that Our Lady was not present. On the contrary, the idea that She who is the "Woman of the Eucharist" as Pope John Paul II used to say, She who is the Mother of the Word Incarnate and who carried Him in Her womb before we received Him, was not present at the moment of the institution of the Eucharist is an idea that is quite difficult to believe. In fact, God loves Mary more than the whole Church, and it was primarily for Her that Christ instituted the Eucharist. She is also the model for those who receive Communion, because Her Son must also have given Her Communion. Hope that helps! Please pray for us.

This broadcast is very beautiful, especially The analogy on Candle and the Virgin Mary as vessel of God. I am also thankful to our young Deacons and Priests. So thankful that we have them as assurance that our Catholic Faith will continue into the future.
Private revelation tells us that Jesus was at least 18 months old when the Magi arrived. Their relatives namely St Zacharias and St Elizabeth wanted to aid them and asked them to remain in David's City as Jesus was the Messiah. They didn't want to as everything was prepared in Nazareth for Jesus, but as Zacharias was a Priest of God, they obeyed. The Bible tells us He (and Mary & Joseph) was in a HOUSE when they arrived. Also Herod killed the children between 18 months and 2 years old. Not newborns. God provided at the right time for the Magi were the catalysts of the slaughter, unintentionally so of course. Their provisions were what St Joseph and Our Lady used in Egypt. Also Bethlehem was closer to Egypt than Nazareth so shortened the journey. Have a read of City of God by Mary of Agreda, and Bl Katherine Emmerich. Might be there.
ST. POPE JOHN PAUL II: “There is and there has to be a place for forms of piety so that the Church’s life of prayer is not reduced to liturgical worship alone. Popular devotions, however, must not interfere with the liturgical life of the Church and are less important than the Mass. The best remedy against ever possible deviations is to permeate these manifestations of popular piety with the word of the Gospel. Devotions to the saints, expressed in feast days, images, processions and so many other forms of piety, should not be reduced to merely seeking protection of material goods or bodily health. The saints must first of all be presented to the faithful as models of how to live and as imitators of Christ. Pastors must ensure that the practices do not degenerate into false piety, superstition or magic.”
Hello. The lighting of candles is a very old practice. And, along with Scripture, we have the marvelous additions of Tradition and the Teaching of the Church. God bless you!
Hello Debra. Of course we pray to Jesus. And...Mary was no mere human. God chose her, sent an Archangel, the Angel Gabriel, from Heaven to inform her that the Holy Spirit would overshadow her and that she would conceive of the Only Begotten Son of God, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Imagine her perfection, her holiness, her faith, her purity. In the Angelic Salutation we read: "Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou amongst women". If an Angel can say these words to the mother of Our Lord, why would we not say them also? Do not be afraid to honour the mother of Jesus, Our Lord!
“Never be afraid of loving the Blessed Virgin too much,” St. Maximilian Kolbe said. “You can NEVER love her more than JESUS (Himself!) did.” ....JESUS did not spurn The Virgins Womb - in a sense, JESUS was The First to honor Mary🙏🌹🌟

The perpetual light burning perpetually in the Tabernacle symbolizes the Light of Christ burning perpetually in the Tabernacles of our souls.
I read from the Book of Leviticus about the lamps to be used in the Tabernacle. If we refer to Leviticus 27:20-21. This lamp must burn perpetually.
