Awesome video with great detail. Can the dealership install accessories to Advance version such as; welcome light, running boards with chrome accent, and tailgate trim chrome? Or does a customer have to have it ordered/built specifically from the factory to have those accessories added on and then delivered to the dealership for the customer?
Serra Acura, Just got my new 2022 MDX Advance in Fathom Blue Pearl/ Graystone interior. I did not like the Espresso on the Liquid Carbon. Yes, my dealer confirms that The LCP color is the most popular and sought out by his customers.....in Scarsdale NY (Westchester county). I saw the FBP on line in a separate video. But seeing it in person is another thing. In fact, there are Pics posted by a poster on Acurazine Blog site. In person, it outstanding displaying different shades with different lighting. I am so Very Glad that I went with rare color of FBP. For the past 2 weeks or so, I made it a point to look out for ANY Blue cars, MDX's in Blue are extremely Rare. Reds too. So I never really "followed the Pack" so to speak with lots of things. The Fathom Blue Pearl will make a Head turner as I drive it some more. I won't use the word LOVE (that term should be reserved for Family/ People IMO), but I really LIKE this new Acura, despite the TTP InfoT. Aside with the great comparative Value (BMW X-5, Audi Q-7 ; Volvo ) it delivers , it is a excellent redesign with very observed enhancements in the ride and handling over my traded 2019 MDX Advance which was a very good car , but did not deliver the degree of excitement that new SUV does. At 69 YO, recently retired with some spinal issues, this car has made me feel very pleased with my purchase (well actually a Lease). Good Luck, Happy Sales To You !!!
Why did Acura still not equip a "Close and Lock" button for the rear gate? I love that feature because then it automatically locks the vehicle once the gate closes. Without that feature, you must wait for the gate to fully close and then you must lock the vehicle either with a door handle button or with the key fob. This is s feature that I wish my 2017 MDX Advance had, and I'm disappointed that the new model still doesn't have it. As for the seating, thank goodness they finally added seat bottom extension. It was much needed in the previous model.
Acura is so far behind in the times, it's comical. Toyota is as well. Most of the features that he's describing have been around for a decade on many other brands
Hey Justin, thanks for the explanations. Our 22 MDX Advance is our 9th Acura. The 700 page manual isn’t always that helpful. Like WiFi, for instance. Is there a site that gives more detailed instructions on the many features?
Thanks Al. Unforurtanlly not, we are working on getting some more videos up to help. Matts delivery overview should help. th-cam.com/video/2H4KsDQmGhU/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgzF3Req6jvtHAnp9p14AaABAg
Justin, what's your opinion on the Liquid Carbon with Espresso interior? I've seen it live a d on YT.? Seems ackward on the interior , in that, Achra uses too many contrasts of material. I'm looking to see if I can see the Blue with the Graystone interior or the White with Parchment interior.
It looks great! It is very popular now. To your point, I think its the contrast, and that it is different that seems to appeal. You can never go wrong with the white with parchment, it has been the #1 color combo for Acura for many years. Thank you for watching!
You have to go through the menu settings to change the colors via color profiles. Apparently the geniuses at Acura could not comprehend the concept of a color wheel which could change the color to your personal preferred colors like BMW or Mercedes, that would be too easy and straightforward. You also cannot change the color settings while driving unless you are in the default which changes the color by which driving mode you’re in. Keeping in mind that “comfort” is useless as it’s not efficient on gas as it takes too much rpm revs to achieve speed and there is too little steering control which is not safe at any speed. And how often will you go into the “snow” driving profile?
I was going to purchase this vehicle until I went for a test drive and noticed Acura still didn't include AC vents for the 3rd row. What a bummer! Most competitor have it. With 2nd row all 3 seats up, it is very difficult to get cool air on the 3rd seat. Also the leg room is so tight, only less than 10 years old children can seat there. I was still ok with that but definitely don’t t want to leave my kids without cool air on the 3rd row and make them more cranky.
AP, go for a Mini van then. This MDX is an Awesome vehicle. Albeit, I never use or will use the 3rd row, ( to be honest , unless you have a large family, i dont see anyone who uses that on any of the 3rd row SUVs.... VW Atlas, Highlander, Infiniti, etc.) . To date, I really can't comprehend why people opt for 3 row SUVs if they need all that extra room. Go for the Honda Odyssee or the Kia Minivan . Good luck.
You nailed it Aldo! Get a minivan if the space is a must. The 3rd seats are a temporary solution in a pinch, but not good for everyday use or long trips, in any mid-size SUV. Thank you for sharing!
Exaggerate much? My daughter is 13 years old and almost 5 feet tall and my son is 16 years old and almost 5'6" but can sit in the 3rd row. Not the most comfy but its ok. I am not sure about vents in the back as I just got the car for the 2nd day only but I heard one of the TH-camr said their is air coming from under the second row seat.
I agree in most cases with you. Acura did a nice job mixing the materials in the MDX. It looks way better that a piece of plastic painted sliver to look like metal used in a lot of vehicles. Thank you for the feedback!
Well done Sir! Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you!! Good job.

I think you missed one feature that is only available in the advanced package - the adaptive damper suspensions.
Wish the message seats were available in advance what a bummer

Does the rear gate walk-away feature lock the doors when it closes ??
Good video
Thank you for watching and the feedback!

Good question!

There's one next to the rear gate opening button. I've watched so many reviews, so I know :)

How much to add the remote start?
about 900.00 Labor and installation at the Acura dealer alone is over 425.00
Isn't the advance supposed to have lights on the side of the center console? I don't see them on in your video.
You are correct. Sorry I missed that. Here is a quick look th-cam.com/video/oz3CeQ0eygM/w-d-xo.html Thank you for watching!
@@SerraAcura There's no need to apologize, It's more of a 'i'm surprised they weren't more visible'

Look on the floor of the 3rd row. Whahlah! Air vents. Most car makers have them in the ceiling, but they are there none the less
Thank you so much
Thank you for watching!
👍🏻
I hate the shiny black that many newer cars have. It looks cheap
