One thing I’ve noticed over 60 years is you usually don’t notice how even someone famous speaks strangely until you hear someone else do an impression of that person. Once I heard Darrell Hammond’s magnificent Bill Clinton impression, suddenly I myself could do a Bill Clinton impression. Not like Hammond’s masterpiece, but you’d get it.
