I show you (through Mike's struggle) why you should use at least 20 lb test line instead of dental floss or standard fishing line when removing a 3M taped on spoiler. It's also best to do this on a warm day.

Don't force the spoiler off guys, you'll leave a long dent on the top of your trunk and you'll see it when the spoiler comes off. Fishing line is the way to go.
Mike was fortunate to not have dented his trunk lid.

I used strips of paper towel on the tape areas and soaked it down with goo-gone to keep it from going everywhere and a plastic razor blade but a rubber eraser will do the trick in 1/10th the time.
Hey I literally just put my spoiler on last night with 3m it’s a little off centered and lighting a little because of that. I plan today to take it off and redo it, is the tape easy to get off the spoiler? Thanks!
If it's pretty fresh, you can usually just push and roll it off, but it'll take time. They also make a rubber wheel you attach to a drill to help remove old decals and tape if that doesn't work.

That's basically what most fishing line is made of.
When I installed my spoiler I accidentally made one side 1/4'' higher. Do you think I'd be able to redo one side without completely taking the spoiler off?

Unfortunately, you'll need to completely remove it, clean up the tape, and apply new tape.
@@VampyreX13 Sadly you were right lol. I separated it halfway, moved that end in place, put weights on it to hold it in place, and left it in the hot sun. There was a smidge of tape that had never been pressed down all the way and I ran a bead of black caulk around the seam of the entire spoiler. Hopefully this works lol. (my car is covered in black truck bed liner so the caulk blended in perfectly. On a normal car I might not have been able to do this)
