Will it be the same on a eg with a kpro v4 and k20z3 transmission? Or will other parts be required to make it work? How will the wiring be done on the vss connector itself?
Hello sir, kindly guide me, I recently swapped k 24 rbb - 4 head assembly in my accord euro r cl7, the previous one k20a, unfortunately its crank started giving rattling noise. I didn't tune my ecu, its same as if it was with k20a original rbc ecu with same software. I want to know is, what things are necessary after this swap, secondly I am noticing that my accord is now accelerating really to much fast and quick, but my speedometer needle is moving slow, does this thing happen after k24 swap, that the actual speed is more but speedometer needle is not moving with equal pace???? Is the callibtation of speedometer changes with the k24 swap from k20 in accord euro r cl7. Right now it's doing 0 to 100km in 8 seconds according to speedometer needle, but those cars which usually do 0 to 100 km in 8 seconds, remain far far back if I drag race with them till even 100 km. So do you think my speedometer needle is moving slow after k 24 swap?? , although its accelerating bullet fast from previous k 20 a.
I have a k20z3 trans and k20a2 engine harness, I switched the vss connector to match the k20z3 vss and switched the pins to read the 05+ style vss. Got the vss reading in k pro to work but not the speedometer, I then got the k tuned vss converter and wired that in and now my speedometer works and reads the correct speed, only problem is now the vss in k pro and on hondata app shows 0 speed but my speedometer on my gauge is working properly, any ideas? Oh and I did get a vss malfunction code but stange thing is speedometer works. Thanks guys
@@Serpentis666 It wouldve helped if they showed what they did to the B11 connector on the ecu like what Brian talked about but at the time I had already bought and installed the converter box because I was also confused
On the Integra you use the speed sensor in the gauge cluster. Use the cable drive and cable from the DA transmission and then feed the signal from the gauge cluster to the ECU.
Hi I k24 swapped my civic now the speedo and temp isn't working on the dash do you know what is worng with it I changed the sensors and nothing has changed
Does this fix apply to say, an 01 Insight with 02-04 Kpro V4 using the countershaft speed sensor for 06 Accord trans? The ECU can be calibrated with the 05+ VSS box checked but the cluster won't receive the modified signal and a converter will need to be used as I understand it.
Dumb question here but I'm not understanding what you mean by inverse. My cars doing 55 while speedo says 70. After I did the division it came out to 0.78 how do i get the inverse percentage from that ?
@@VTECAcademy okay well shoot mine was installed by VIP performance and he said there was no difference between his install and hondatas. What will my next best option be?
Hey guys! I have a problem similar to this I just recently did a k24 swap on my Acura rsx 03 and my speedo on my cluster is working perfectly fine but on hondata it reads weird, I’m wondering is this a speedo problem itself or is this something I can fix within the tune
@@Ant0n_42 hey man so I actually changed my tuner to a better tuner and a more recommended one and he basically fixed this issue for me it was my abs wheel speed sensors and he basically bypassed them thru the hondata but your issue seems to be a bit different if you are picking up no signal at all in the ecu perhaps there is a problem with your ecu itself as mine would pickup speeds but it wouldn’t be accurate speeds try seeing if you can get any type of input of speed wher there it’s only 1 km or 100 km per hour on your ecu which will tell u that it isn’t you ecu
@VTECAcademy I've checked the connections, but I'll do it again. The harness is a brand new Rywire. I've replaced the sensor. It's throwing a P0500 code. Hondata shows 3 mph all the time.
I’m a little confused on this, I have a k20z3 trans in an eg, using a ktuned engine harness and kpro v4 I switched the wires in the vss plug to match the 06 si,s speed sensor... will I still need to install the ktuned vss converter I purchased or will I be able to do all of that now in Kpro being that I have the v4?!?
I believe you will still need the vss converter because the k20a2 ecu is a low frequency and the k20z3 trans is high frequency, I installed mine and had the car tuned with kpro4 and everything works.
Kou Lor watch the lates episode of midnight oil from last nite! Brian answers the question fully and as he says the converter is no longer needed IF you have a kpro v4 that was installed by HONDATA...mine was, it’s a brand mew unit I just got back from him data a couple months ago.... I’m going to attempt to get it to work today, I will post here if I get it to work!
Kou Lor I’m still a little unsure about how to go about it but from what brian said on the midnight oil episode last nite... I’m thinking the vss input from the kpro is what needs to be run to the b11 plug? I’m not a wiring expert by any stretch, so I’m going to ask a few friends that are more experienced... I will definitely keep you posted brother! Not having to use the converter would be great although I do already have it... but the less wiring I have to do the better and using band aid type fixes was never anything that I liked so if this truly works I’ll be very happy!!! If anyone on here would chime in would be greatly appreciated!

Right. Because they fail to tell you this only works on the 05-06 speedo sensor and not the 02-04 VSS sensor.
