    Great video! The Berkley performed well with the horizontal fall because of the cold weather. Just like blade baits built to have that shimmy on the fall and perform in cold water. The Jackall and Duo have incredible prop action and are designed to have a slow steady retrieve maintaining the same depth. Use it again in the spring and you will find the Jackall and Duo are amazing will knock them out!

      Yes! i want to slow roll some of these baits for some fish. was looking into some deeper lakes to try to get it out and just slow roll for some mega smallies and lake trout or something... wouldn't' that be a groovy video?

      @@rawrfishing That would be awesome! Find yourself some clear water with smallies in it, and have your GoPro ready!! I've caught Smallies from 1-5 lbs on the Jackall and Dou! Oh, and you are right the JDM models come with much better hooks. Although I have bent out one treble on the Jackall, so I carry replacements now!

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sir! yeah they bend easy, but i think if i can master my finesse skills, it will be allllllll good :P i know japanese are pretty much top notch when it comes to relying on the rod and drag to fight a fish where as bass tournament anglers just haul fish in so they can do another cast

      thanks, these two are pretty good. i think the jackall will be nice when i can just slow roll it constantly . but the Berkley was fire for the slow drop!

    I’ve gotta try these soon. Our water is still well in the 60s tho! I’ve got some Jenkos that might be worth giving a shot

    Interesting. Duo shimmy. The butt sinks faster. Att least for the 90

      That's interesting.. fished at different depths I guess

    I see.... THAT'S why you caught the pickerel lol, swapped to the one with a different action. Been wondering what's drastically different between our fishing trips, i haven't landed one pickerel this season

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have caught pickerels finesse fishing small lures. But I think pickerels are territorial and aggressive, so smedium sized lures can entice more bites! Especially flashy ones ;)

    Jenko's got the shinobi spybait that they made for crappie fishing. I have two myself and done well with white bass on them. Very slow sink rate so if you fish shallower waters for crappies it might be killer.

      I havent heard of that brand until i posted a spybait. I guess it's time to check it out

    Sup Jimmy. Awesome video. Loved it. Crappie, bass, pickerel and white perch. Can you believe I never owned a spy bait or even a blade bait lol, but I will. Went fishing the river at end of street before waterfall before the snow, with a custom made jerkbait and cought a smallmouth but came too close to loosing it, so switched to an o-bait jerkbait and cought a lot of crappie. One was hooked pretty bad so tried the unhook tool which dropped in water and watched it go away😢. Got the hook out tho. Didn't want to keep any cuz have some in freezer. Think the bite was crazy cuz snow storm coming? Definitely going to get a spy bait and blade bait to expand my knowledge which is always good. Thanks bro

      This is my first time so there will be a first for everyone! Honestly, I can just fish a jig and grub and do just as well if not better. I have fished jigs and plastic for years and have gained a mastery at selecting the right weight and plastic to effectively cover a specific water column where fish would bite. Best decision ever as I have a budget friendly way to slay and I now can take my knowledge and apply it just about any sinking lures. Now these slower sinking lures are interesting.. new skills need to be developed. But its always fun to try new stuff! That stinks btw for losing that tool... its expensive!

    Them fusion 19 hooks are super Sharp. If the fish just looks at it it gets snagged lol.

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      wish they were thinner. when it comes to fish biting in the cold, they lip something and spit it out. i didn't portray the missed hooksets for some of the bites, but i think Berkeley can learn something from the japanese if they are going to have a japanese line up.

    • @neilbonefishing
      @neilbonefishing 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rawrfishing truthfully the spy bait was not first made in Japan. That bait dates back to the early 1900s. It was first made by Samuel Friend

    • @rawrfishing

      @@neilbonefishing but perfected by Japanese :p

    • @neilbonefishing
      @neilbonefishing 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rawrfishing oh for sure definitely Japan done a good job, but most believe the spy bait was made by Japan. Smithwick even had one in the 1950s. So that's why I was confused when you said if Berkley was going to have a Japanese lineup they should take notes from Japan.

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@neilbonefishing that is exactly what I said because the current top spy baits are Japanese designs. Their refinement and terminal tackle choice are top notch. I know someone who uses this at a specific location and slay xxxxxxx like a god... but I would get shot if i say anymore... which is why I blurted out the fish specie 😅🤣
