Thank you for posting this!!! I've been having this problem, and dealing with it in a complicated and unnecessary way. This solved my issue immediately!
It didn't work exactly as you said, but playing around with different settings within the compatability worked out. So, you deserve the thanks for leading me in the right direction
Worked as a solution for me in 2022 version, I have a high resolution laptop screen and a large lower resolution monitor plugged into it. Both factors combined to make an unusably massive UI my monitor screen. This fixed the issue on the big monitor but made the icons on my laptop screen smaller. Which, for me, is preferable. Thanks!
Outdated, even though the solution works so far that the icons that are too small are at normal size, the resolution suddenly changes (from 4k to not even HD).
Great to-the-point vid. This solves the issue with text and icon size, but now the graphics seem to revert to block/pixelated 1990 graphics again. Completely voiding the purpose of UHD monitor. Is there no middle ground?
thank you soo much! I've had troubles with scaling switching from notebook screen to external monitors and vice versa. Your solution resolved my issue.
Hey, that works for my 4K laptop screen. My issue is I cannot use my large lower resolution screen without going backwards and forwards through this process each and every time I connect or disconnect from the larger monitor. Got any solutions for connection to a larger but lower resolution screen?
I am getting a flickering feature manager and toolbar when mousing over them and I don't know why, it feels like the work space is covering up the feature manager and toolbar.
Thank you very much It works fine. The resolution its not the best... looks like pixelated but was a good solution I hope solidworks solve this problem soon.
When I used this method it did fix the scaling issue but was using my laptop screen resolution (1080) on the large 4k monitor. What solved it for me was making 1 of the large 4k monitors my main display.
Didn't do it for me, still get frame-in-frame glitch whenever I click on anything

Fixes the scaling but now I get a frame in frame glitch whenever I do some stuff on it

Yay. Quick note, make sure Solidworks is closed when you do this, or it will not take effect.
