If I recall, the Maschine has a "performance mode" which allows the user to hear the metronome in headphones while the audience hears only the music. Perhaps your issue is related to this split-output functionality, somehow.

Good video but a suggestion - it would be much better if the Mk 3 hardware device itself filled the screen and, if necessary, the software in the smaller inset window. Difficult to make out what is happening with such a small image
hi, i'm new to this. At 3:40 into your video when you hit load in groups, i'm not getting a the pattern. The pads to activate each separate sound are working. How do i configure my settings so the prerecorded drum pattern will load onto the desktop project window?
Hi Tom, C=thanks for checking out my channel. At the bottom left of the screen you will see an oblong and the word '+pattern' in it. highlight that and it'll load patterns each time :-)

Hi Dave, I'm downloading everything there is that needs to be downloaded apart of the software, but when I get onto the Maschine app, I don't see anything under "All Sounds". Hello, when I turned my Maschine on, the UNDO pad is red, the A button is also red. Every button is inactive. When I press the BROWSE button (as you do in 2:30), nothing happens. Do you know what could be the problem? Thank you very much

I love that Maschine screen that says Library... but where is it? I can't find it anywhere.... do you press a button, open some software... where is it?
Great question. I personally would buy the mk3 because I come from a drumming background and this makes more sense to me but if I was from a pianist background I would pick the Kontrol. I do have both and I use the mk3 as the main hub and the Kontrol for the pitch and ideas. Hope that helps.

Question, so in the first video, you stated that if we wanted to use the MK3s Audio Interface we would need to select “built in” but in this video you say to select MK3. I have my MacBook, the mk3, two 1/4’ male to male TRS, and mackie CR3s. I can’t get sound out of my speakers. What settings need to be changed on my MK3 AND MacBook to make this work?
My apologies for the confusion. If you want to use your mk3 as the interface to your speakers then you need to select the maschine mk3 and ensure the volume is up on the back of the unit. Hope that helps.

Hi Clarissa, so you are trying to get the sound routed from your mk3? Ensue the mk3 is plugged in to your PC and and switched on. Then load up Maschine 2 software and you should be able to select it. If you have never seen it then you need make sure you have installed the software and hardware properly. Dave, I have an MK3 on Windows. I have somehow lost my visual representations on the left screen, for instruments and such. I had them at first but now it's gone. I think it's something I've done. How can I get them back? I still have access to everything just not the visuals.

in 3:27 you say push load to a kit I do it too and you have a patern on your timeline I push load and there are only the sounds on a list left but not on the timeline why?

Hi Philip, I have the same bug in mine. Whilst the maschine software is on, turn off your mk3 and then on again and it should work. let me know if that sorts it. Thanks

Hey gang, I'm confused with the simple cable connection for line out. This video shows 1/4" TS plugs, but the manual asks you to use TRS 1/4" cables...? What gives ( and yes I know the difference between the two...) Thanks for the help : )
Hi Robert TS and TRS devices can be connected to the Maschine Mk3 audio interface. The Maschine software will send and receive audio as stereo, where software like Ableton live can use use the inputs and outputs as mono or stereo.
When I turn it on it just shows it lights up and then just shows native instruments in white letters nothing else is I just purchased it , is it broke ?

Hi Tizoc, thanks for the comments and glad you like the videos. If the MK3 is the only interface and you have it selected, then you can run leads direct from the MK3 straight to the speakers. If you want the sound coming out of your PC then change the audio output to coreaudio or internal. Let me know how you get on :-)
So apparently it's a problem with my headphones... whenever I have my headphones as outputs 3&4, I get clipping and crackling in both speakers and headphone outputs. When I remove the headphones from the available outputs, the sound goes back to normal. Weird. I'll be getting new headphones anyway, hopefully it resolves that issue. Thanks anyway!

Dave, here is a question, about something that people might run into, like I have.so My MKIII was working fine, but when I went to switch it on today, and I launched the Machine software, the software loaded on the MAC - and the samples and sound worked on the mac, but the screen on the MKII just said( Production and Performance System.) the shift+midi script in the screen was missing and the unit fails to work at all.any help?TaRussell.
Hi Russell, I have a similar problem a lot of the time when I switch on everything the mk3 starts up but is unresponsive. I have to turn the mk3 off and on again whilst the software is running. Does this help for you?

+dominic garzon. Thanks love my logo. Going to be selling clothes with that brand soon lol. So this is the requirement you need Mac OS X 10.11 or macOS 10.12 (latest update), Intel Core i5, 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended) I personally would recommend a Mac as that is what I use and never had any issues at home or live. Tbh I’d buy a pimped second laptop with a guarantee over a new one with less spec. Ideally a 15” MacBook Pro with a quad core and at least the spec above. Mine is a 15” MacBook Pro quadcore with an i7, 1TB hdd and 16gb ram its lasted 4 years so far and never let me down. And yes you can transfer your software and and sounds etc. Just need to down load native access on your new Mac and boom! Lol. Hope this helps.

No it should come on straight away. Did the person mention any issues? Maybe run the native access and install software to see if anything else is wrong.
I’ve been trying for days to get a turntable to play through the mk3 and hear it come out of my macbooks interface it only shows sound when I have the mk3 set to mk3 then I don’t get the sound to come out of the laptop but it shows signal . This is driving me insane seriously. I would like to hear both at the same time coming out of my laptops interface . Any help would be appreciated.
Hey Super. So you have your mk3 plugged via usb to your laptop and the have an interface also plugged into your laptop? Then you have cables from the interface going to speakers? So when you have the audio set to your interface, what happens? Feel free to send a little video and/or screenshots to dave@digitalandvinylexpert.com and I will help you bottom this out.
Hi and thanks for your comment. I will be doing a video of this soon but there are a number of different ways. One way is to take your main outs from your mixer and put them straight into the line in on the mk3. Volumes up and hit sampling. You will see the waveform in there. Record and slice up. Hi. At the bottom left under the sounds on the software you will see in light grey ‘+pattern’ make that bold and it will add a pattern each time. Hope that helps.
2.40 he clicks on SOUNDS, but I dont see any sounds, just a MASCHIN pictures turns on. Same with SAMPLES. But im sure I downloaded everything...what can it be?
Hi thanks for the comment. When you press the browser button it will show all your ‘packs’ but if you didn’t buy any of the additional one then you will on see the Maschine icon. Don’t worry as there’s loads of cool kits and sounds on there. If you need anything else then don’t hesitate to reply. Hope that helps.
I just a MK3, and when I go to browser, the only thing that shows up is Massive. I downloaded all the instruments that come with it but none of the other stuff is showing up? Has this happened to anyone else?
+therush420 Well the easiest way to remove all the preset stuff is click on the arrange window, then select all ‘command and A’ and hit delete. You could also select the pattern then click shift and clear (9). Hope that helps
When i delete everything in the arrange window, it's not resetting the main knobs ie tune, decay, bend etc. Is there a way to reset them all at once or do i have to manually do it? Bc at 440 in your video it looks like they reset
+BAFFTM hi and thanks for the support. It won’t remove the tune, delay etc. because that’s how the sounds are set up. You can of course change them manually but if you don’t want anything then you can remove the whole sound/group and it will remove everything. Hope this helps.

+c-f-productions.com hi CF thanks for the comments. I assume you mean add another bar. Just hold down pattern and turn the rotary where it says length and make it as many bars as you wish. If you want to copy the entire bar to the next then you could just hold shift and press duplicate. I’ll be covering these buttons in part 5 of my video.

I love that Maschine screen that says Library... but where is it? I can't find it anywhere.... do you press a button, open some software... where is it?

Great question. I personally would buy the mk3 because I come from a drumming background and this makes more sense to me but if I was from a pianist background I would pick the Kontrol. I do have both and I use the mk3 as the main hub and the Kontrol for the pitch and ideas.

Question, so in the first video, you stated that if we wanted to use the MK3s Audio Interface we would need to select “built in” but in this video you say to select MK3. I have my MacBook, the mk3, two 1/4’ male to male TRS, and mackie CR3s. I can’t get sound out of my speakers. What settings need to be changed on my MK3 AND MacBook to make this work?
My apologies for the confusion. If you want to use your mk3 as the interface to your speakers then you need to select the maschine mk3 and ensure the volume is up on the back of the unit. Hope that helps.

Hi Clarissa, so you are trying to get the sound routed from your mk3? Ensue the mk3 is plugged in to your PC and and switched on. Then load up Maschine 2 software and you should be able to select it. If you have never seen it then you need make sure you have installed the software and hardware properly. Dave, I have an MK3 on Windows. I have somehow lost my visual representations on the left screen, for instruments and such. I had them at first but now it's gone. I think it's something I've done. How can I get them back? I still have access to everything just not the visuals.

in 3:27 you say push load to a kit I do it too and you have a patern on your timeline I push load and there are only the sounds on a list left but not on the timeline why?
Hi, it loads a pre set pattern, but not all of them do so you maybe loading a different group to myself. Hope that helps.

Hey gang, I'm confused with the simple cable connection for line out. This video shows 1/4" TS plugs, but the manual asks you to use TRS 1/4" cables...? What gives ( and yes I know the difference between the two...) Thanks for the help : )

TS and TRS devices can be connected to the Maschine Mk3 audio interface. The Maschine software will send and receive audio as stereo, where software like Ableton live can use use the inputs and outputs as mono or stereo.
When I turn it on it just shows it lights up and then just shows native instruments in white letters nothing else is I just purchased it , is it broke ?

Hi Tizoc, thanks for the comments and glad you like the videos. If the MK3 is the only interface and you have it selected, then you can run leads direct from the MK3 straight to the speakers. If you want the sound coming out of your PC then change the audio output to coreaudio or internal. Let me know how you get on :-)
Nice I got it to work! Although I there is some clipping going on, how can I reduce it?
Turn down the volume of maschine at the top right of the screen.
So apparently it's a problem with my headphones... whenever I have my headphones as outputs 3&4, I get clipping and crackling in both speakers and headphone outputs. When I remove the headphones from the available outputs, the sound goes back to normal. Weird. I'll be getting new headphones anyway, hopefully it resolves that issue. Thanks anyway!

When I go to Machine Libary I see packs, they are all inderlit so I can't click on them, I see them but can't select sample sound?

Dave, here is a question, about something that people might run into, like I have.so My MKIII was working fine, but when I went to switch it on today, and I launched the Machine software, the software loaded on the MAC - and the samples and sound worked on the mac, but the screen on the MKII just said( Production and Performance System.) the shift+midi script in the screen was missing and the unit fails to work at all.any help?TaRussell.
Hi Russell, I have a similar problem a lot of the time when I switch on everything the mk3 starts up but is unresponsive. I have to turn the mk3 off and on again whilst the software is running. Does this help for you?

So this is the requirement you need Mac OS X 10.11 or macOS 10.12 (latest update), Intel Core i5, 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended)
I personally would recommend a Mac as that is what I use and never had any issues at home or live.
Tbh I’d buy a pimped second laptop with a guarantee over a new one with less spec. Ideally a 15” MacBook Pro with a quad core and at least the spec above.
Mine is a 15” MacBook Pro quadcore with an i7, 1TB hdd and 16gb ram its lasted 4 years so far and never let me down. And yes you can transfer your software and and sounds etc. Just need to down load native access on your new Mac and boom! Lol. Hope this helps.

No it should come on straight away. Did the person mention any issues? Maybe run the native access and install software to see if anything else is wrong.

If you have then bottom left you will see ‘patterns’ under the samples. Click that then it will load a demo.
I’ve been trying for days to get a turntable to play through the mk3 and hear it come out of my macbooks interface it only shows sound when I have the mk3 set to mk3 then I don’t get the sound to come out of the laptop but it shows signal . This is driving me insane seriously. I would like to hear both at the same time coming out of my laptops interface . Any help would be appreciated.
Hey Super. So you have your mk3 plugged via usb to your laptop and the have an interface also plugged into your laptop? Then you have cables from the interface going to speakers?
So when you have the audio set to your interface, what happens?

Hi and thanks for your comment. I will be doing a video of this soon but there are a number of different ways. One way is to take your main outs from your mixer and put them straight into the line in on the mk3. Volumes up and hit sampling. You will see the waveform in there. Record and slice up. Like I said a video will be up very soon on this and I’ll send you the link once done. Happy new year.

Hi. At the bottom left under the sounds on the software you will see in light grey ‘+pattern’ make that bold and it will add a pattern each time.

Normal 1/4 inch male to male jack (TRS) leads.
2.40 he clicks on SOUNDS, but I dont see any sounds, just a MASCHIN pictures turns on. Same with SAMPLES. But im sure I downloaded everything...what can it be?
Hi thanks for the comment. When you press the browser button it will show all your ‘packs’ but if you didn’t buy any of the additional one then you will on see the Maschine icon. Don’t worry as there’s loads of cool kits and sounds on there. If you need anything else then don’t hesitate to reply. Hope that helps.
I just a MK3, and when I go to browser, the only thing that shows up is Massive. I downloaded all the instruments that come with it but none of the other stuff is showing up? Has this happened to anyone else?

+therush420 Well the easiest way to remove all the preset stuff is click on the arrange window, then select all ‘command and A’ and hit delete.
You could also select the pattern then click shift and clear (9). Hope that helps

When i delete everything in the arrange window, it's not resetting the main knobs ie tune, decay, bend etc. Is there a way to reset them all at once or do i have to manually do it? Bc at 440 in your video it looks like they reset
+BAFFTM hi and thanks for the support. It won’t remove the tune, delay etc. because that’s how the sounds are set up. You can of course change them manually but if you don’t want anything then you can remove the whole sound/group and it will remove everything. Hope this helps.

+c-f-productions.com hi CF thanks for the comments. I assume you mean add another bar. Just hold down pattern and turn the rotary where it says length and make it as many bars as you wish. If you want to copy the entire bar to the next then you could just hold shift and press duplicate.
