The thing about the Forest Temple in OOT that makes it feel so much different than the child Link dungeons to me was this: The child Link dungeons are mostly filled with creatures or animals that just live in there, and are hostile. Starting with the Forest Temple, you start getting minions of Gannondorf that are there specifically to murder *you.*
I've always noticed how different it is from the child dungeons but I've never been able to put my finger on why - I think you've just hit the nail on the head!
Josey Wales I guess where I'd draw the difference is that in the first three the creatures moved in there BECAUSE of Ganondorfs doings, whereas in the later dungeons he PUTS them there to guard it. It's a small difference I grant you, it's just it may be what I've noticed in the past about them.
Why do so few people not mind the water temples? I mean seriously, they're not that bad. They're not my favorite or anything, but I don't hate their existence.
ILikeWaffles I remember playing it over and over, just admiring the complex puzzle mechanics and the music. I understand that people hate things when they become a challenge, but i for one enjoyed it a lot and felt that the water temple was not only not bad, but for me it was my favorite.
Also, for Hyrule Castle in TP, I think it did a really good job of showing you how far you've come with the massive hordes of red bokoblins. If you've been collecting all of the skills, you can dispatch them all with one spin attack, meanwhile in the beginning of the game two blue bokoblins were a mildly difficult fight.
Twilight Princess had by far the best bosses in my opinion. They were designed beautifully with outstanding graphics, not to mention badass! They also implemented tye fungeon item very well! Argorock (forgot the spelling) had excellent use of the double claw shot. Stallord was simply amazing. My fav boss fight ever. Morpheel was frikin amazing. And blizzeta was so fun. I mean smashing a giant iceberg yeti with a medieval ball and chain?? Epic.
I don't see anything amazing with Morpheal (if that's how it's spelled). It doesn't do much. He only attacked when he was in the ground or if you was right by his mouth in the second phase (which I don't t know why you would be near his face). Fyrus (the second boss) was pretty lame in my opinion. The first boss was harder than him. Blizzeta was just okay in my opinion. It was fun though. My favorite in Twilight Princess was either Zant or The Twilit Fossil Stallord. :) Sorry if I misspelled anything lol.
Collin Drey I liked Argarock, it was a fun boss boss fight. I also liked that you got to see him while you're completing the dungeon. Armagohma was okay, I am neutral when it comes to that boss. I didn't think it was a bad boss, but I also didn't think it was that great of a fight. Just my opinion though. :)
Spirit Temple in OoT - beautifully atmospheric music, awesome fights, clever light puzzles. The whole place felt very mysterious and made you feel like it really had been there for thousands of years.
Come on people, show some love for the creepy temples, like, The Shadow Temple and its partner temple The Bottom of the Well, or maybe even Arbiter's Grounds? =P
Or the Dark Palace in Link Between Worlds. That's a glorious little dungeon. In fact, that game is full of good dungeons. Easily the best water-themed dungeon in the series there.
Honestly, i really despise the forest temple from oot, and actually quite like the water temple, i also really like the great bay temple, ive never disliked them
Same idea with me, but with OoT Water Temple, but that might be because my first playthrough of OoT was on the 3DS remake where they fixed some things, namely the Iron Boots usage.
Great Bay and the Water temple aren't frustrating or godawful (well...Ocarina's water temple had that fucking whirlpool river). They were fun, and interesting. And they're the founders of a tradition in 3D Zelda water dungeons in that they have a global puzzle. Rather than being a series of tasks you must complete in order (though not necessarily the order they're presented to you), they functionally _are_ the puzzle. The Water Temple's rising and falling water levels allow you to fundamentally alter how rooms work, and which places you can access. Rather than only using the assets in the room and the dungeon item, and occasionally how you can apply stuff from elsewhere like knocking the spike down from the 3rd floor of the Fire Temple to reach the boss on the first floor, you have to consider the layout of the entire temple when trying to navigate, or you end up stuck. Great Bay makes that even more abundantly clear - the entire dungeon is a large clockwork/hydraulic mechanism that you're manipulating in order to ride the flows to get where you need to be. They're 2 of the most complex dungeons largely because of the sheer scale of the problem at hand. Like the atom, they are pretty much indivisible (There's no reason the "push the blocks around the halls" puzzle in the Forest Temple would be out of place in any of the other temples, but it's hard to see how changing the flow of water currents makes sense in any Majora's Mask dungeon aside from Great Bay.)
The biggest, personal, issue I have with OoT's water temple, is that, if you aren't aware of exactly /where/ you need to use the keys, you can actually progress through the dungeon to the point where you use all of the keys you have... and can't get to the last one. (I'm talking small keys of course), and then are completely stuck. That's a huge issue. And has, often, had me checking back to a guide to make sure I don't fuck that up. Because the only way to solve that is to...... start the entire damn game over. B|
VenomousSoliloquy Ocarina isn't particularly kind about making multiple saves. Yeah you can clone saves in the main menu, but it's definitely not supposed to be that way. And I've never screwed myself with the small keys, in all of my playthroughs. And the only thing I ever used a guide for is collectables - hearts, skulltulas and big poes.
Just because you haven't, doesn't mean countless people haven't as well. It is entirely possible to progress through that temple and use your keys in the incorrect order. Thus assuring you get stuck. 8| I used the guide for the small keys in the Water Temple, the Skulltulas, and Big Poes. So not for every temple, as the Water Temple is the only one designed to possibly get you stuck permanently. I remember running around back and forth going "Where is that last key?!" Only to realize it was....... behind a locked door and some rooms away and I had no keys. lol
I have re-watched the "you can even dance with them guys" part so many times now, I'm actually crying of laughter and I haven't been able to continue the video yet 😹
Can't believe wind palace is your favorite Minish cap dugeon ... It is too much frustrating for a Zelda Game ... Even some demon level in Geometry Dash are less frustrating ... Good vid
I've been saying this for years. The Water Temple in OoT is actually very well designed! The problem is that you have to constantly go into the gear screen to change your boots. The ability to simply toggle them on and off as a regular item in the 3DS remake significantly enhances the enjoyment of the place, and makes you realize that the problem was never the dungeon itself. It was the controls.
That's what i'm saying!! thanks Dorkmaster Flek! but I never had a problem with ocarina of time's water temple but majora's mask and twilight princess's i'd rather drown! (do the BEN DROWNED! *starts dancing*
Man, what is it with the Internet and water dungeons? I love MM's and TP's water dungeons! Clearly I'm just crazy. :) The Great Bay Temple in MM is awesome. Possibly because the Zora mask is one of the best things in the history of EVER. Seriously Link is like frickin Ecco the Dolphin in that game. It's wicked. And the Lakebed Temple is one of my favourite dungeons in Twilight Princess! I think it's one of the best designed, and the boss fight is just awesome. And in Skyward Sword, the Ancient Cistern is so cool! I didn't get the place at first; it was totally jarring to switch between the two floors. But then I actually read about the Buddhist story that the dungeon is designed around and it all made sense. It was really cool! Plus the boss of that dungeon was probably the best boss fight in the whole game. Seriously, multiple stages and you systematically take him apart and use his own body against him. That boss fight is so good. And if you go back further, the Ice Palace in Link to the Past was pretty mind bending at the time because you had to work between multiple floors and dropping blocks down to progress. And if you haven't played A Link Between Worlds, lets just say the Ice Ruins in that game are easily the best dungeon in the whole thing. Okay, I'm including ice in the equation now but yeah, I'm crazy and water dungeons in Zelda games are awesome.
"pyramid of magic crackers"....... my god, Do not know why I found that so hysterical but I found myself rolling off the couch in laughter as I imagined Ganondorf building a pyramid of Saltines (as everyone knows that blandness is evil incarnate)
Ocarina 3D fixed all the problems with the Water Temple. The level design itself was mostly great. They just needed to up some easier color reading to direct you to the water level changing parts, as well as making the Iron Boots being able to be set to a hot key (A/B or touch screen)
Nope, it's among my top 3 water dungeons in the series along with the Catfish's Maw from Link's Awakening & the Swamp Palace from A Link Between Worlds.
You are completely alone there when it comes to my friends and family. It took me and my friend over 3 months to beat the Great Bay temple (EVEN WITH A WALKTHROUGH)
Chibs Minami Really? It took me around an hour or so (which is normal for me, idk about everyone else) to complete and it has been really memorable. The only down side was Gyorg.
The Ancient Cistern shouldn't count as a water temple. Seriously, the point of a "water temple" is to have water based puzzles, not a pool with nothing to do in it.
It is a Water Temple, just because it is not all about water and water puzzles doesn't mean that it is not a water temple. Jabu Jabu's belly is considered a water dungeon. The Tower of the Gods is another example. The water dungeons/Temples do not have to revolve around water.
I always felt like the Oracle games were amazing. Coming off of LttP and OoT they offered both challenge and replayability, as well as that good old Zelda vibe. I'd personally put them in my top two favorite handheld Zelda games of all time and I'd have Seasons in my top five Zelda games of all time. Granted I had Seasons and my brother had Ages growing up, so their is some nostalgia when it comes to them.
seasons was way too hard for me sadly I've never completed it. the original Zelda for the hand held was super fun and ages was really fun too. which one would you say is your all time favorite? OOT and wind waker are mine
right?? honestly when i began playing zelda, i was so bad at it. oot was my first zelda and i died on the first deku scrub. MULTIPLE TIMES. and as for 2d, i couldnt get past second dungeon in link's awakening. i thought i just cant video game at all. so like, when i completed both oracles and beat ganon without outside help... feels good man
Five years behind to appreciate this list lol. Great choices! Especially the top two. Admittedly, I kinda wish that the Arbiter's Grounds from TP got more love. I've always liked desert themed dungeons, and the dark vibes it also brought was nothing short of intense and awesome. That, and the spinning top item you get from there is so slick :)
My favorite temple is probably the Twilight Temple from Twilight Princess. Made you think, gave you plenty of stuff to simply fight through, had a great time turning you into a wolf and back, and also had an EPIC boss fight. I honestly think that Zant was an incredible final boss, gave me a really fun fight and a bit of a trip through memory lane as he was doing it. Plus, Midna later used her hair to tear him to shreds, so that was pretty neat as well.
spirit temple was my favorite. The fact that you go through it as a kid and adult is really awesome. Not to mention you get awesome items. The path to get there is epic as well. With the sadistic pirate women, and the very ominous sandstorm desert. On a side note, who remembers falling from the top floor of the fire temple all the way to the bottom. son of a bitch!
In all Honesty I can say that I didn't think I'd ever REALLY get into Rabidluigi but after watching about 7 hours of his Tops Lists all I can say is... "HOLY DAMN!"
I didn't like the City in the sky (but the boss battle was pretty fun) For me, in the Twlight Realm when I was collecting the Sols was the worst thing in TP Seriously, that hand with the "I'm-gonna-get-you" music was so freaking scary
Skyward sword broke the cliché of bad water temples in Zelda games but A Link between worlds (in my opinion) revived it with a burning hatred with the Swamp palace.
I think IT is too hard to make a top 10 Dungeons list because of the enormous amount of Dungeons that exist in the Legend of Zelda serie. I have to admit thought that all the explanation you made for each of your choices were good Great video Good list
I fucking loved the Water Temple. It was such a simple concept but so difficult. You had to be thinking the whole time and really understand the layout of the dungeon. Although the Forest Temple is my fave LoZ dungeon, Water Temple is definitely not crap.
Your opinion. For most other people, myself included, it is very frustrating and tedious. And tedious becomes boring real quick, which becomes frustrating... And you get the idea.
But you dn't slip up because it's hard, you slip up because you've been bored out of your mind for the past 3 hours and you'd rather just play zelda's lullaby than take the time to look around more
Stone Tower is my favourite of all time too! However, Great Bay Temple is rather well-designed when you think about it. It can't have been easy to design a temple around changing the flow of water and still make it free from glitches and shortcuts. I also like the machine theme to it as well.
Notice a glaring omission? You bet I did... Link to the past!! Or am I so tired I'm hallucinating? Not going to stay up long enough to watch the whole video to be sure. Lol
I'll take you through what you should've done: 1) Go to the credits at 23:38 2) Look for the Stone Tower Remix (in order as they appeared in the video) 3) Notice that it's a remix by some guy called 'rabbidluig' (ignore the missing 'i') 4) TH-cam search under Stone Tower Remix rabbidluigi 5) Probably the first result.
I agree that the water temple was kinda frustrating (it had great puzzles but I just hate the water physics) but the great bay temple was actually my 2nd favorite temple (besides the shadow temple in ocarina of time)
I don't know what it is about the Twinmold boss battle at the end of the Stone Tower Temple, but I just love it so much. The mysterious hole at the top of the Garo Master room has you wondering just what's past it. Then, you go back to the beginning of the dungeon, find out you can flip it, and proceed. Later, you remember that hole and think "Hey wait, that's a hole I can jump into now..." You journey to the Garo Master room, only to find the boss lock on the door. You trek through the temple and finally find the Boss Key, go back to the room, unlock the door, and find a mysterious portal where the hole was. You jump in and find some desert in the sky or something, and your questions are answered. The silence is then broken by "HOLYCRAPWHYARETHOSEMOLDORMSSOBIGOMFGHOWDOIKILLTHEMAGGHHHHHH." Then, you remember the Giant's Mask, put it on, and beat the living crap out of them. I don't know why but it just makes the dungeon feel so complete. (If you actually read this, you the real MVP.)
just overdosed on nostalgia. I just bought DOOM last night for the ps4 and now I think I'm going straight back to old school Nintendo to complete every single Zelda game I own which is about 12 of them I think?
I forgot about the greatness that is the Ancient Cistern. Wow, the story behind it and the symbolism, amazing. Skykeep has got to be my favorite of all time though. I remember dorking around at the panels before I figured exactly what I was manipulating. I love the "A-ha!" moments.
god these games are so fucking good i want to cry, they have been such a huge part of my life. The level/dungeon design have always stood out for me. Simply genius
My top 10 would be: 1. Stone Tower Temple (MM) 2. Ice Ruins (ALBW) 3. Fire Sanctuary (SS) 4. Spirit Temple (OoT) 5. Sand Temple (ST) 6. Mutoh's Temple (PH) 7. City in the Sky (TP) 8. Great Bay Temple (MM) 9. Turtle Rock (ALBW) 10. Sandship (SS)
Stone tower temple is a legendary dungeon! The design, the atmosphere, the music, the new and and unique enemies, the mini bosses, the creative puzzles, the main idea of flipping it, the idea of using all 4 four forms, and how it is based of the tower of babel makes it a legendaray and most mysterious dungeon in zelda history!
I really don't know why twilight princess got so much hate, I mean, sure it was easy, but to me the story was very original and good, and midna is one of my favorite side kick/annoying partner.
I don't remember Twilight Princess being easy, especially the one escort mission right before Lake Bed Temple, I COULD NOT do that for the longest time. Plus it's dark as hell which, as RabbidLuigi expressed in a video, could ultimately destroy you depending on when and where you play the game.
+Juliantius Centurion I actually rather liked Great Bay Temple. The Water Temple I thought was okay, pretty tedious but not as bad as everyone says, but Lakebed has got to be my least favorite temple in all of Zelda. Which is a shame, because it's a really visually stunning location.
+LassHaley I don't like the way the lakebed temple looks, it just reminds me of slime and bile (that last one probably has more to do with the stuff the chest you get the clawshot from is covered in... yuegh)
LOVE Ancient Cistern - definitely one of my favourite Zelda dungeons. And I played through Stone Tower Temple a couple of weeks ago on the 3DS version and really enjoyed myself, I agree it's a really satisfying dungeon and wraps up the game really nicely.
"I'm sure you've worked out from the only one dungeon per game rule that there is one glaring omission from this list." A Link to the Past! "Zelda 2." *interruption joke happens* Ha, now it's time for A Link to the Past! "How about Majora's Mask, then?" (expecting another interruption joke) ... really? Well, I can't complain too much. It is your list after all. I will click the like button for another interesting top ten list. Although no dungeon from A Link to the Past would be my absolute favorite Zelda dungeon, I do find Blind's hideout to be memorable because of the lack of a specific theme. It's just your standard dungeon with traps and baddies. Then the boss fight happens, and without spoiling too much, it's quite a shocker. It's a good, challenging boss fight as well. I usually need at least one red potion to come out victorious.
my favorite OoT dungeon is the spirit temple with the forest temple being very "meh" to me. not to diminish stone tower's epicness, but it's full experience doesnt come unless you do the entire dungeon in one 3 day cycle AND go after all stray fairies. especially for the stray fairies, the dungeon becomes quite intimidating and overwhelming, but that just leaves a great rewarding experience after completing it. The dungeon can become too easy if you get the light arrow then start a new 3 day cycle, requiring only a few easy to grab keys before flipping to skip some of the more complicated puzzles in the flipped dungeon that has far more danger.
I was REALLY hoping Stone Tower would be here, definitely my favorite temple in the series for multiple reasons (basically all you mentioned). Very glad it made 1.
Ohhh thanks rabbid for choosing my favorite Zelda dungeon for #1! :D Majora's Mask is also my favorite Zelda game... I was a bit worried during the video you didn't have one from MM but you made my day. It's good to see others enjoy what is probably the most unique dungeon ever put into a Zelda game! :3
The Twili Palace in Twilight Princess was also my favorite dungeon. It was dark and mysterious but it was cool until the hand scared the crap out of me and I'm running to the next room and my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest when going outside the temple.
Woodfall temple should most def be on this list. I love it's Aztec themed design, where it is situated, how well it introduces the gameplay and how the boss is not a stereotypical beast or monster but is described as a jungle warrior suggesting that it is a super-charged guy
lmk10000 Not...really? Yeah, it's true that aztecs and mayans build pyramids. They thing is, so did a lot of other cultures. For what it is, that thing could be a goddam Zigurat.
Ikana canyon is one of the places that really just make me want to stop and think about it. It's a place essentially full of the dead, people who once were, and it always makes me feel sad to remember that this was once a place inhabited by the living, and tbh makes me sad whenever i go there.
Check! Just knew that Stone Tower Temple would be ne No. 1 when I clicked this. It really is the most stunning dungeon in the series and the one that just makes you want to know it's story, background and deeper meaning. Like a eerie hidden message in the game. Though I have to admit it felt a bit short when I replayed it after several years in the 3D remake. I don't know, my childhood memory made it a massive, difficult and long-taking dungeon. 15 years later, still very impressiv but ... huh, already at the endboss? (3Ds twinmold though. DAMN that was awesome-ly hard) When I replay Majora's Mask nowadays I'm as excited as I am hesitant about getting to Ikana Canyon and the Stone Tower Temple. This place still creepes me out. (Music-Box-House-Heartattack)
Stone tower temple is a legendaey dungeon. The music, yhe design, the atmosphere, the new enemies, the mini bosses, the puzzles, the main idea of flipping it, andhow it was taken from the tower of babel makes it a legendary dungeon. Thank god!
Pretty good list. I agree with most of them. I can't decide if the temple of time or arbiter's grounds is my favorite for twilight princess, but I'm very surprised on your choice for skyward sword. Sky keep was by far my favorite temple in it, maybe even all time. Playing withe the dungeon design felt so cool, I hope they make it more interesting with say a tower where you turn floors or something. Plus it had a bit of everything. Oh and switch ocarina's temple to the shadow temple. It's the most memorable for me and feels massive with all the puzzles and traps.
The credits has 'safe zones' about 2cm in from each side of the video. The 'i' in rabbidluigi ended up going in there. But at least someone watched the credits.
Well you got me all excited with all the beautiful dungeons...then the music for the very end of the video...reminded me...THEY'RE ROBOTS HOW ARE THEY EVEN ANCIENT AUUUGH
It's interesting that you hate the water-esque dungeons so much, because I, on the ohter hand, anticipate each zelda, while mainly looking forward to any water-esque dungeons. I just love them! Also, am I really the only one that let out a cry of sheer joy when I got the longshot? My reaction was like: "Now I can aim higher at vines, and don't have to climb anymore!" But gotta give it to Ancient Cistern, man. Amazing; Especially the boss. Btw, thanks for all the vids, keep it up.
I remember climbing the Stone Tower to reach the temple. I remember falling off of it and getting so mad I turned off my console. But, that temple, was the best temple ever made in Zelda history. With all its symbolism and challenges.
Not true, Ganandorf made Duku tree sick which added monsters, and the gorons say monsters appear in the cavern after ganandorfs arrival
+John Dole no he said "they just live there" that's not true Ganandorf put them there
Josey Wales I guess where I'd draw the difference is that in the first three the creatures moved in there BECAUSE of Ganondorfs doings, whereas in the later dungeons he PUTS them there to guard it. It's a small difference I grant you, it's just it may be what I've noticed in the past about them.
Zane I'm pretty Gannondorf put all of the "creatures" (they're monsters) in those places m so they really don't just live there.
Jabu Jabu's belly on the outside:
Jabu Jabu is about 100 feet long.
Jabu Jabu's belly on the inside:
A ton of rooms, 2 floors, enemies, and.. BRIDGES?
have you ever been inside a fish? it's EXACTLY like Jabu Jabu's belly! just kidding, it's slimy, cramped, and dark
Lol and not to mention a floor like elevator!
Jabu Jabu TARDIS
They wanted to make it realistic
@@doubleaproductions7184 No, I've never been inside a fish.
My parents wouldn't let me.
Why do so few people not mind the water temples?
I mean seriously, they're not that bad.
They're not my favorite or anything, but I don't hate their existence.
finally! someone who agrees!
ILikeWaffles I remember playing it over and over, just admiring the complex puzzle mechanics and the music. I understand that people hate things when they become a challenge, but i for one enjoyed it a lot and felt that the water temple was not only not bad, but for me it was my favorite.
ILikeWaffles Can I be in the group too? ;P
I think the water temple in OOT is my second favorite of all of them, behind the shadow temple.
Bryanneo1 Of course you can!
Because the title says so, the title knows all and sees all; you do not fuck with the title. God, this is why we love your countdowns.
Good point

Sorry mispelled some words. I was typing fast
Don't forget Zant and Ganondorf. Zant is my favorite in the franchise.
I don't see anything amazing with Morpheal (if that's how it's spelled). It doesn't do much. He only attacked when he was in the ground or if you was right by his mouth in the second phase (which I don't t know why you would be near his face). My favorite in Twilight Princess was either Zant or The Twilit Fossil Stallord. :)
Sorry if I misspelled anything lol.
What about Argarock & Armagohma
Very true!!!
I think that I am the only one that loves shadow temple my #2!
Forest temple was way creepier to my mind than Shadow temple...
Or the Dark Palace in Link Between Worlds. That's a glorious little dungeon. In fact, that game is full of good dungeons. Easily the best water-themed dungeon in the series there.
Connor Hall
Shadow temple? Nice. Arbiter's Ground? Very nice.
Bottom of the Well? HELL NO
Am I the only one who likes Arbiter's Grounds? Just me?
Tetragon 213 Nah, I love it too. Zipping around on the spinner was fun, and I enjoyed the boss battle the most in the entire series. :D
Yeah. After the initial terror from the rats, I actually found the place pretty cool. Really nice boss fight, and I hope the spinner returns soon!
Tetragon 213 I did like the spinner, I just didn't like the other parts like the spirits and skeletons
I will admit, the skeletons etc are a little disturbing. Then again, they do add some sort of fear to the dungeon.
Tetragon 213 But besides that I really liked that temple
I actually
Kind of
Sort of
To some degree
Sometimes
Like the great bay temple...
I thought it was a great dungeon actually. The swimming controls in Majoras Mask made it fun.
Honestly, i really despise the forest temple from oot, and actually quite like the water temple, i also really like the great bay temple, ive never disliked them
SAME i love all the majoras mask dungeons except, surprisingly, stone tower. I dont hate it it's just not very fun for me ig sorry
Same idea with me, but with OoT Water Temple, but that might be because my first playthrough of OoT was on the 3DS remake where they fixed some things, namely the Iron Boots usage.
So, Link to the Past gets the shaft?
It started so many of the dungeon tech and memes which would build the series.

I used the guide for the small keys in the Water Temple, the Skulltulas, and Big Poes. So not for every temple, as the Water Temple is the only one designed to possibly get you stuck permanently. I remember running around back and forth going "Where is that last key?!" Only to realize it was....... behind a locked door and some rooms away and I had no keys. lol
Why does nobody talk about the Goron mines in twilight princess?? I liked that place
Username Taken Because Iron Boots on magnet walls = slow as hell
Maj Peppers I found it rather fun
+Maj Peppers Slow as hell? It was fucking genius! A way of using an old established item in a very unique new way.
SamVision yeah I really liked that part.
+Maj. Peppers But that's just one part. One tiny little defect
Good vid
I always hated the water temple, but in OoT 3D where you can use iron boots as an item, it's actually really well designed and a lot of fun.
I hate that the boots are an item!! maybe if there was a way to fit all the items in the item menu i'd feel better about it!!!
The Great Bay Temple in MM is awesome.
Most entertaining top 10 guy ever I swear to god
"pyramid of magic crackers"....... my god, Do not know why I found that so hysterical but I found myself rolling off the couch in laughter as I imagined Ganondorf building a pyramid of Saltines (as everyone knows that blandness is evil incarnate)
Dude...now I can't get that image out of my head 🤣
Ocarina 3D fixed all the problems with the Water Temple. The level design itself was mostly great. They just needed to up some easier color reading to direct you to the water level changing parts, as well as making the Iron Boots being able to be set to a hot key (A/B or touch screen)
Am I the only person who really freaking loved the great bay temple?
Nope, it's among my top 3 water dungeons in the series along with the Catfish's Maw from Link's Awakening & the Swamp Palace from A Link Between Worlds.
Oops I meant the Angler's Tunnel from LA. The Catfish's Maw was in the middle of Martha's Bay but didn't really have water elements inside.
Indeed it is a great designed temple. Many times more fluid than Water temple from OoT, and the boss is also one of the hardest on that game.
You are completely alone there when it comes to my friends and family.
It took me and my friend over 3 months to beat the Great Bay temple (EVEN WITH A WALKTHROUGH)
Chibs Minami
Really? It took me around an hour or so (which is normal for me, idk about everyone else) to complete and it has been really memorable. The only down side was Gyorg.
The Ancient Cistern shouldn't count as a water temple. Seriously, the point of a "water temple" is to have water based puzzles, not a pool with nothing to do in it.
Well, you can swin in it. It's something, i guess.
***** The majority aren't water-based puzzles, which is the point of a water temple.
Well someone hasn't really played Skyward sword :/
It is a Water Temple, just because it is not all about water and water puzzles doesn't mean that it is not a water temple. Jabu Jabu's belly is considered a water dungeon. The Tower of the Gods is another example. The water dungeons/Temples do not have to revolve around water.
I love the shadow temple. The blood. The dead. Music. Everything of it is perfect.
Granted I had Seasons and my brother had Ages growing up, so their is some nostalgia when it comes to them.
fuck *there
seasons was way too hard for me sadly I've never completed it. the original Zelda for the hand held was super fun and ages was really fun too. which one would you say is your all time favorite? OOT and wind waker are mine
+Ahmed Abedrabbo Majoras Mask and Seasons would be my top two.
Lol that's crazy I've never completed those 2. They were too difficult for me. You're a champ and a real Zelda fan
right?? honestly when i began playing zelda, i was so bad at it. oot was my first zelda and i died on the first deku scrub.
God, I love Twilight Princess xD I can't wait until I get to the final dungeon!
Logans Lucky Cluckers I was halfway through the sky city, and my save was deleted by my cousin
Zeleros71324
Oh no, that's horrible! ;-;
That really sucks...
Logans Lucky Cluckers I had also collected everything I could up to that point
Zeleros71324
Wow... ;-;
Are you there yet after almost a year
i just realized how similar the tower of the gods is to the temple of time from twilight princess
Twilight Princess Hyrule Castle is my favorite dungeon. So badass...
Your oral commentary ALONE made me hit the subscribe button. You're hysterical!
spirit temple was my favorite.
The water Temple in TP was pretty fun if you ask me. I had trouble with the city in the sky on my first playthrough.
Same here. The Lakebed Temple wasn't that hard but City in the Sky was hell.
I didn't like the City in the sky (but the boss battle was pretty fun)
For me, in the Twlight Realm when I was collecting the Sols was the worst thing in TP
Seriously, that hand with the "I'm-gonna-get-you" music was so freaking scary
Skyward sword broke the cliché of bad water temples in Zelda games but A Link between worlds (in my opinion) revived it with a burning hatred with the Swamp palace.
i loved the swamp palace and most other water temples, they were the right amount of challenging.
only part about the swamp temple is getting into it
In my opinion, pretty much all ALBW dungeons were great. Not easy, not extremely hard, not annoying and don't take that long to complete.
I agree with mark
Great bay temple > Swamp palace > Ancient cistern
19:25 Hinduism tends to have gods with fifty bazillion arms.
I think IT is too hard to make a top 10 Dungeons list because of the enormous amount of Dungeons that exist in the Legend of Zelda serie.
I have to admit thought that all the explanation you made for each of your choices were good
Great video
Good list
Okay, It might've just been me who laughed when he said "Once you grow up and get a bigger sword."
Catherine Dixon I have a mind in the gutter too, don't feel bad. I LOLed at that too.
The desert dungeon from Ocarina Of Time was by far my favourite
yeah, not including the Spirit Temple is blasphemy
It's blas for me too :)
I enjoyed it as well.
It's not really all that complicated. It's just that if you slip up once, you have to go all the way back
QuikVidGuy exactly what I said. Simple concept yet difficult. One slip up and you have to do it all again.
But you dn't slip up because it's hard, you slip up because you've been bored out of your mind for the past 3 hours and you'd rather just play zelda's lullaby than take the time to look around more
QuikVidGuy nah I slipped up because I missed something. I enjoy levels in games where everything must be explored in depth
You mention Links Awakening? It only took 6 years after this video, its finally coming.
I liked the Sky temple in TP, it was subtle and ambient to the situation and looked great
THANK YOU. Thank you for mentioning Kirby! :D
I really don't see how you can leave a link to the past out of this list entirely
I knew about the symbolism surrounding Ancient Cistern, but not Stone Tower.
Majora's mask in general is a masterpiece of symbolism.
Lol
*has been trying and failing for the past hour to find that stone tower remix at the end...* Uh, help... please? *googly eyes*
I'll take you through what you should've done:
1) Go to the credits at 23:38
2) Look for the Stone Tower Remix (in order as they appeared in the video)
3) Notice that it's a remix by some guy called 'rabbidluig' (ignore the missing 'i')
4) TH-cam search under Stone Tower Remix rabbidluigi
5) Probably the first result.
rabbidluigi ....Welp, now I feel like an idiot. XD
+rabbidluigi would you look at my tower video
Am I the only one who enjoyed the fire sanctuary from skyward sword?
The disrespect for the Oracle games smh. Both are incredible!
My list would be full of Skyward Sword dungeons. Those were the best
Yea very creative
You're goddamn right
Lord Meliodas And the bosses. Those were creative.
Adrian Hurni Say my name
+Lord Raven You're absolutely right
No arbiters ground? That really suprises me...
just overdosed on nostalgia.
The sandship in skyward sword is one of the best.
It’s pretty good. It took me a long time to appreciate it.
dude, why were you wearing the zora tunic in arbiters grounds?
I'm Lonk lol thought i was the only one who noticed that 😂
Ceiling Fan so he could go swimming.
thought I was the only one wondering that
13:55 Master Jackass xD
scrolled down looking for such a coment, was not disapointed
glad you put various game boy zelda games, those were awesome
Dude, you just read the future .... 6 years after the vid, a 3D link's awakening is upcoming on Switch
My favorite 2D Zelda game is Minish Cap. It's freaking good.
Hi The Eevee Squad! ^^/
+Cody Hines Hi
yeah it's mine to as it's the only one i have
Wow
My top 10 would be:
1. Stone Tower Temple (MM)
2. Ice Ruins (ALBW)
3. Fire Sanctuary (SS)
4. Spirit Temple (OoT)
5. Sand Temple (ST)
6. Mutoh's Temple (PH)
7. City in the Sky (TP)
8. Great Bay Temple (MM)
9. Turtle Rock (ALBW)
10. Sandship (SS)
+Eve Belduke GG counting skils
I loved the Great Bay Temple, but why did you put Ice Ruins and a dungeon from Phantom Hourglass instead of Arbiter's Ground and Ancient Cistern?
"Once you grow up a bit and grow a bigger sword" HEHEHHEHEHEHHEH That's wrong..
Amazing how you described the stone tower temple! You made me learn a new thing about zelda in a very easy to understand way. You are great man!
Il probably get alot of hate for this but i think twilight princess is the second best zelda game ever behind majoras mask
I really don't know why twilight princess got so much hate, I mean, sure it was easy, but to me the story was very original and good, and midna is one of my favorite side kick/annoying partner.
The only hate from me you'll get it not putting OoC at the very top of the list.
I agree. The other LoZ games are fantastic, but Majora's Mask just seems so..unique. In it's own weird way.
YeS i AgReE
I don't remember Twilight Princess being easy, especially the one escort mission right before Lake Bed Temple, I COULD NOT do that for the longest time. Plus it's dark as hell which, as RabbidLuigi expressed in a video, could ultimately destroy you depending on when and where you play the game.
At 13:55, am I the only one who noticed Fi referred to him as Master Jackass
I did to
Good, but it lacks a Link to the past...
Like the way you narrate these dungeons. Would love to see a list counting down the most annoying or frustrating dungeons as well.
Wow, it is amazing how far your videos have come since the old days!
Can we get some waffles?
Why don't people like the god damn water temples? I love all of the water/ice temples!!! Especially the one in OoT!!!
Yes they are the best ones. I like the watertemple in TP most. (sry for my bad english)
+Juliantius Centurion are you ill?
+Juliantius Centurion I actually rather liked Great Bay Temple. The Water Temple I thought was okay, pretty tedious but not as bad as everyone says, but Lakebed has got to be my least favorite temple in all of Zelda. Which is a shame, because it's a really visually stunning location.
+LassHaley I don't like the way the lakebed temple looks, it just reminds me of slime and bile (that last one probably has more to do with the stuff the chest you get the clawshot from is covered in... yuegh)
i like water Temple too
I used to never want to do the Forrest temple because the music was creepy asf
I'm a little late but damn I hated the forest temple. The music and these fu..... hands!
I think Great Bay Temple was easy. Not bragging, i just don't understand what's hard about it.
What's hard is when you don't understand how high you can shoot out of the water and get stuck in one room for the better part of an hour
What about ALTTP?
you do not fuck with the tittle... hahaha
my favorite OoT dungeon is the spirit temple with the forest temple being very "meh" to me. not to diminish stone tower's epicness, but it's full experience doesnt come unless you do the entire dungeon in one 3 day cycle AND go after all stray fairies. especially for the stray fairies, the dungeon becomes quite intimidating and overwhelming, but that just leaves a great rewarding experience after completing it. The dungeon can become too easy if you get the light arrow then start a new 3 day cycle, requiring only a few easy to grab keys before flipping to skip some of the more complicated puzzles in the flipped dungeon that has far more danger.
I agree my favourite OoT temple is totally the Spirit Temple
I was REALLY hoping Stone Tower would be here, definitely my favorite temple in the series for multiple reasons (basically all you mentioned). Very glad it made 1.
am i the only one who noticed fi calling link master jackass?
Nope lmao
+epicanime009 thats the result of being able to name link whatever you want.
+epicanime009 surprisingly enough you're not the only one that can read English!
+Gene Kim (yeenkeeem) *gasps* XD
Jackass (if you watch the Wind Waker lets play) is Rabbid's main name in gaming. He uses it in Pokemon, Zelda/Zelda Horses (in BOTW), and others
Intro is way too long
DONT JUDGE:
I have only played one legend of zelda game:
Link between worlds.
so far, i liked the castle the best
I hope that peaks your interest and you play the other games in this masterpiece of a series.
thx for no hate
I really enjoyed Thieves Town.
RB10 thieve's hiedout was the best in the game ice ruins 2nd
Zeb Scorpius Sneaking in to it was fun, too. I like the "stealth" in Zelda games.
Woodfall is far from Aztec inspired, if anything is african-native inspired(sorry, I'm nerd, and know about aztecs too damn well for that)
VladNorris the temple is kind of a piramid, so yeah, it has some Aztec or Mayan references.
lmk10000 Not...really?
Yeah, it's true that aztecs and mayans build pyramids. They thing is, so did a lot of other cultures. For what it is, that thing could be a goddam Zigurat.
'Or whatever floats your boat'
He's talking about Water Temples
I see what you did there Rabid Luigi
DAMN that was awesome-ly hard)
When I replay Majora's Mask nowadays I'm as excited as I am hesitant about getting to Ikana Canyon and the Stone Tower Temple. This place still creepes me out. (Music-Box-House-Heartattack)
the stone tower was my favorite temple because of the puzzles and the music makes the temple much better to enjoy
Apparently the ghosts in hyrule castle in twilight princess were the soldiers who died heroically trying to stop Zant.
I have to say, I share your love for MM. I mean I play the shit out of this game every time I get the need for some LoZ. Love the vids, keep trucking.
22:17 On #1, take a good look at the hand, and the 'doorway'.... MAH BOI.
It's interesting that you hate the water-esque dungeons so much, because I, on the ohter hand, anticipate each zelda, while mainly looking forward to any water-esque dungeons. I just love them!
Also, am I really the only one that let out a cry of sheer joy when I got the longshot?
My reaction was like: "Now I can aim higher at vines, and don't have to climb anymore!"
But gotta give it to Ancient Cistern, man.
Koloktos is AWESOME. And the stone tower is really cool, and Ikana Canyan is one of my favorite video game places.
