I guess that is all dependent on your insurance provider. Everything I needed was covered, except for the ice machine. If questioning whether or not the ice machine is helpful, I highly recommend it.

Does patient buy walker, cane, ice machine etc and bring to crystal clinic or does hospital supply these items or does physical therapy supply necessary items? My mother had bilateral TKR in 1997, and all her equipment needed for recovery was delivered to her home and covered by Medicare. This included wheelchair, walker, cane, bedside commode, reacher. I know times have changed in 25 years, so wondering what items I should self purchase pre TKR.
