I have this on m43, which makes it a nifty fifty on my system. My only real complaint about it is that the aperture ring really needs to be a bit tighter. It's rarely a problem, but it's de-clicked and would be less prone to the occasional finger bump. That being said, it's a great lens, nice color and contrast, a little wild on the flare, but in a usable way, and a very pleasant depth of field, both behind and in front of the subject.
I am thinking of getting something similar for my Fuji. Maybe something very wide. It would be interesting to hear about the experience of manual focusing for different types of photography - moving human subjects vs. landscape/scenery where you can slow down and be more deliberate. Also, did you zone focus to minimize the need to adjust the manual focus?
40mm eqivalent on APS-C. That's why you can't get a 25mm from Fuji. They love 35mm and hate 40. And I absolutely love 40 and hate 35, so there you go. I have nothing against Fuji, though! This means I can get a Fuji camera! :)
Great review! How do you think this compares to their 35mm f/1.7 lens?
Looks like a sharp lens man! Glad to know it’s available for other camera mounts too!

100% agree about the aperture ring, it’s pretty flimsy. This lens is very hard to beat for the price!

I did not zone focus with these. I'll have to try that out. Thanks for watching, Scott.
Great review! Thanks!
Hoping on picking this up soon with the M43 mount for my LUMIX G7!
Great choice!
Hey mike is it a wide lens ? or it crops a bit ? im thinking if it is good to film with my x-t3 , best regards from Portugal
It’s a 35mm equivalent, 25mm on APS-C
@@MikeHallman it's particular the same with xf 23mm f1.4?
Is it compatible for fuji xa3?
I got my for $30 off of ebay. Seems decent - definitely worth that.
Sadly my same lens is not sharp at all, I always get soft image like It's costantly a bit out of focus
Interesting
