The dial at the 3 o'clock is supposed to be a 24hr, but you can't set it independently so it's really only telling you am/pm and that's only if you align it with the midnight setting. Hence it's useless as a gmt. That would be my biggest knock against this movement - built for looks over function.
It can still function as a static GMT if you set that X amount of hours ahead of the main hour hand when building the watch, you'll never be able to change it without opening it up and re-setting that hand manually but it can be used as a functional 2nd timezone
Great work, very inspiring! I started moding from your videos! Could you put the link of the other video that you release the crown and do you have any tip in the case the minute and hours hand are missalinged is there a quick fix or all tha hands need to come off?
Thank you for watching my videos 😊 Yes, unfortunately, you will have to remove all 3 hands to align them properly again. But it's a good thing! More practice makes it easier next time😁😁
@dedicat2678 I think you didn't center them properly before pushing. Also, make sure you hold a hand presser perfectly flat when pushing the hand. The hole diameter of those hands is very small, so you have to be more precise 😉
@Shortbetter I am struggling to get the case onto the movement with dial. I have tried to get the push buttons on first but then the other side sticks out, any suggestions as to what to try?
@@vaughnwalker7801 I used something random with the flat end🤣 But I believe the tool for the seconds hand will work just find. Those small hands don't require precise alignment as other hands
hi! noob question. i bought a pagani with a vk63 and the seconds hand (chono hand) is a hair to the left. do i need to take the hand off and reattach it or can i push it a little without taking it off? will it affect the other hands if i do? thanks
This chrono hand is a headache in my experience... 1st, it can be worn out if you remove it and try to put it back. I would suggest you get another set of hands just in case. Just pushing the hand won't do, you have to remove it. If you have some kind of curved tweezers, then maybe you will manage to remove only seconds hand, but if no then you need to remove them all🥲
@sinchrotron It uses some energy for sure. But I don't know if it really drains the battery. I was wearing my watch for almost 3 years, using chronograph function pretty often, and it was good.
I purchased colored hands for vk63 as well as a vk63a new movement.. the watch Forzo Enduratimer.. the new chronograph hands will not install its as if the stem is too wide... I tried all 3 of them.. why is this happening
Hmm.. My guess that the colored hands you've bought are poor quality one. Sometimes it happends with the painted hands. The paint goes inside the hole and makes it hard to install
I don't remember exact number, but I've noticed there are 2 sizes (or more) for the same movement and the same case, and both sizes fit my case. Have you tried yours yet?
I picked up a pagani black case with yellow chronograph hand and two sub dials with yellow hands, this pagani has sorta like a skeletontinized dial, showing the quartz movement which kinda weird , a have a dial which I’m swapping , sorta like the green dial, the one I have is black like a speedmaster,
I know you had to edit this video trying to place that seconds hand on.😂 the most pain in the ass I have ever run into. You can also use wto tiny pieces of rodico to hold the hand centered, and press
@@ShortBetter I meant alignment. Just when you think that it is aligned, you have to pop the hand back off to try aligning it. The problem comes when you try at least 4 times of mounting and removing the hand, that the hand barrel wears out, and the seconds hand will fly off into the dial when resetting the chrono.
Beautiful build my friend! I am planning to do some of these soon and this was very helpful. Cheers!

I think the original Speedmaster movement works exactly like that
That second hand timing would drive me insane

Nice one mate👌
Nice FEIKO™ you got yourself there
Thank you :) That one for the order
Very helpful, thanks, but how do you remove the crown and stem from the movement please?
@Bobtek yeah, I didn't show that part... Basically, find the tiny round hole, should be along the stem somewhere. Press, hold, and remove the crown
@@ShortBetter Got it, thank you!!!
Hi how you put those subdial hands? Mine keep falling off😅

Where did you get that dial, it looks amazing!
I got it on the local website, but there are plenty on Aliexpress as well. Just search "VK63 dial"
@@ShortBetterdo you have link for the case?
Did you short-circuit the movement when you inserted the battery or just insert battery and move on?
I just inserted the battery and it was good to go
I want to build a watch with the vk63, but the cases available are to small for my taste. can I fit the VK movement in a case for a nh35 series?
You will need a custom movement spacer and the dial I guess
What tweezers are those for putting on hands. I like those.
Found it in my wife's bag🤣🤣🤣 It's pretty good, but now I switched to a classic tweezers with plastic tips. Seems to be better for working with hands
@@ShortBetter great video.

That's weird.. Like you said, you should put the side with the push buttons first and it should be easy. Sorry for the late reply!
So you dont need to press the small hands?
Need to, installation process is the same as other hands
@@ShortBetter Thx!
Do you use the same hand setting tool for the small hands as the seconds hand or is it a different size? I only have ones for GMT, hour, and seconds.

@@ShortBetter thanks! Just got all the pieces in for this build and this video is a perfect instruction!
I have build one and it has stopped but it has been working two days since y build it. Any clue or recomendation? Could it be the battery?
That's weird... If it was working first 2 days, then I guess it should be a battery issue. Try replacing it
Nice color way
Thanks!
Where did you buy that dial? All the dials I find are blank and don’t have the writing in them
You have to contact the sellers and confirm if there is any text on the dial

Do you not put sticker over the battery to stop short circuit to case?
I didn't. Do you think it touches the caseback?

I just set up my 24 hour as a second time zone. Is it true that the large sweep chrono seconds is compatible with an nh35??
Do you mean the size? I've never heard of it. The only way is to try :D
How did you remove the crow? My is locked inside the movement and I don't know how to remove it
I showed in my another video with VK63. There is a small point you have to press, similar to nh35
