2021: 8 Rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin and Paclitaxel) with 30 concurrent radiation treatments to chest and lung
Failed Immunotherapy directly after Chemo and Radiation (Durvalumab, 1 round)
2022: Chemotherapy
10 rounds of Chemotherapy (Carboplatin, Alimta, and Avastin)
6 with Carboplatin, 4 without
Targeted Brain Radiation (Completed)

The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
family.

Kyle, i feel such love and compassion for you. You are every bit as special as Jenny. Being in the UK, I’m always astounded that your insurance companies decide if you can have meds or not, surely your doctors need to be the ones whom have the last say. Sending prayers and positive vibes.
Oh, the ins. companies decide on way more than meds; they have denied people necessary tests, procedures, surgeries with their obstruction directly leading to death.
I think it's because of the new laws regarding pain medications, I've had this dilemma myself several times. In Jenny's case the Dr may do best prescribing 4 or 5 per day as needed even if Jenny shouldent need them she will have them on hand. In PA you can't get a refill before 29 days of the date the prescription was written. Good luck sweet Jenny, you always make my heart smile watching how loving and giving you are to your beautiful family, Kyle is a gem as well. Bless you all...I keep you in my prayers🩷. xx
Your face is well mellow and so beautiful , I love your eyes : they are such a deep shade of blue. Though you are going through so much you are doing pretty well. If writing cards for the children's future b,days is upsetting you I really think you would be best to leave it for now. It isn't obligatory and you can always just rely on videos instead. Hi Jenny! I’m a pharmacist and wanted to comment about filling your pain meds. The reason your insurance might not want to fill your pain meds, even when they are due, is because of the total mg of morphine equivalents you are getting daily. Prescription Insurance puts restrictions on it, but if your doctor calls insurance and gets a prior authorization (PA) then it can be overrode. The PA will be good for a specific pharmacy and for a specific medication and usually last 1 year. Hope that helps. Thank you for sharing your journey. My best friend fought stage 4 non-smoker lung cancer at age 43 with two young children as well, so your story hits close to home. Many prayers for you and your family.

My daughters double mastectomy was Thursday and she is sore so I told her to watch you as you explain so much. Please pray for her during this time in her journey. Love the nails for sure. You are looking so strong lately. Beautiful as well

I can't imagine how it is to have stage 4 cancer, but I know that you are extremely brave and genuine. You amaze me every time I watch your videos. I have Fibromyalgia and need a cane to walk because I have trouble walking and struggle to go through days when the pain is too much to handle but still have to go to work and cook dinner. But I keep smiling when I'm at work and greeting coworkers and I think that keeping a smile makes me feel better. I love seeing you smile, you are beautiful and strong, sooooo strong ! Whether it be more sleep, painting your nails, meditating, playing with makeup, relaxing with your fur babies, time alone to decompress---everyone needs it; few do it. Living with an autoimmune disorder since I was 14yrs old, as I've gotten older i realize that self-care is as necessary as medical care. It does my soul and spirit good. Learn to love yourself again. You’ve probably already thought of this: whenever I feel lonely, I find a way to busy myself by helping someone else. Even though I’m not particularly strong physically, there are a number of options. I’m certain you have a great deal to offer.

You need to self care to be the loving Mom and wife you are.
Suggest you ask your Doctor to reference 1 to 4 daily which might stop that from happening. Pain medication is a hot topic with insurance companies.
They can send a note to them to help on your file with maximum 120 a month.
Your lungs are probably changing position being more relaxed. If the pain is radiating upwards it might be a hernia against your diaphragm which can happen.
It could also be muscular again with them changing for the better.
It's worth asking...
Narrow it down.
Shame you don't have a mattress that elevates like hospital bed.
Broken sleep is so difficult.
I used rosemary mint oil massaging in scalp weekly before shower and argan oil lightly while damp. It has reduced loss for me.
I also changed to an argan shampoo.
Any style would look great on you.❤
I have been on my cancer journey without any little ones at home and am truly exhausted. I am in awe of how strong your constitution is Jenny when it comes to staying emotionally and physically in the game of life . You are such a Warrior and a role-model for so many of us. So glad that you took time-out for yourself. You made such a wise choice. Remember: Being an active participant in your family circle should be quality over quantity. By you doing so the memories will be sweeter in everyone's mind.

Dear Jenny,I would think if your skin is dry it’s understandable that your nails are too.
I can recommend rubbing olive oil on your nails,it’s really good ,maybe a couple of times a day to start with then once a day.I’m not sure how it would work with your polish,maybe the polish remover is also drying them out,it does mine.

Hey Jenny! I am not sure if you will read this, but a little insight in pain meds to help you understand why it can be a hassle…first off, if it’s a control medication (II-V) there are rules and regulations on how often you can get them refilled or filled again…second, if you have a control II medication, that is even more regulated than all of the controls. So, if you are given for example a control II medication, with a qty of 30 and the max you can take is 4 times a day (keeping it simple with 1 tablet each time) that means your prescription can get a new fill in 8 days. So as long as you are taking it the most you can a day, you should not run out before those 8 days. Due to the opioid epidemic, it is tough to fill any control early hence why your insurance will reject it from the pharmacy. Now there are some pharmacies that will fill your control 2 days earlier (so day 6) but that is dependent on the supply they have and the pharmacist who is putting their license on it. In a time where everyone is sue happy, it can be tricky to just bypass an early fill…it sucks more than any thing that people who need it get stuck in this crazy situation but unfortunately there is a reason why and it is not to be mean…I hope that clears up a little misconception.

The insurance co is probably just wanting a “prior authorization” from your prescribing doctor. If you call or email your doctor they’ll be able to help you!

The insurance company bases the refill date on the amount of days supply that is on your script. That of course is based on how your doctor writes the script. As you know this pain medication thing is quite the journey. You should never ever be concerned about running out if you are taking them as prescribed and I am sure you are. I live in Georgia and there is always a chance things are different in California but I don’t think so. I enjoy your videos and you are truly an inspiration to many. I know you have scary times and those times I am sure are unbearable but you handle this cancer journey with such Grace. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you and your beautiful family.

Insurance companies are so frustrating when it comes to refills. Some days it seems they arbitrarily deny medications that a DOCTOR prescribes. It makes it feel like they know more than the doctor. That being said, you are such a kind and loving person. You stay in my prayers!

Dear Jenny, I missed the life chat, but I'm following your channel and including you in my prayers. I wish you the very best. You are so strong and have to go through so much. My dad survived cancer for two decades until he died of non-cancer-related causes. No doctor would have guessed it and every scan he had was nerve-racking for us all, but obviously miracles do happen. Sending you hugs and strength and love to your family. And - if you can't sleep and need someone to talk to in the middle of the night - even if it is just to say you're scared - you can give me a call or chat with me etc.(just let me know) I'm a mom on the other side of the globe so I'm probably awake when all your loved ones are asleep. You just never need to be alone and scared! 💌

I went into this as a barely retired RN, still this cancer journey was a trip I knew nothing about. You are doing this well! It’s scary.

It does my heart good knowing you are laying under a quilt blessed with prayers and love. You are for sure our brave girl. I think you just need to get your dr to prescribe your pain meds and more like 4 a day so you could get 120 a month. Because its prescribed as 1 day if you take more it throws off the numbers. This is what my rheumatologist had to do with my prednisone. It also helped later on as I reduced as I didn't have to pay as much going for since once I took 1 day the 120 would last 4 months. It's always good to sit and chat with you.

I am watching you drink water, and I am drinking water too. My Immunotherapy made my nails brittle and my skin has aged a bit. Make sure you stay hydrated to keep your skin from drying out and flushing toxins from your body. Nice nail polish!

Speaking as a pharmacist, change your prescription to say "2" tablets as needed for pain every 3 hours, ask your prescrbing team to increase the quality. In other words, a brand new prescription, there should be no problems with the insurance,
