Near the town of Mae Sai in Thailand’s northernmost province of Chiang Rai a heroic and dramatic story happened in 2018. A groupf of young boys from a local Thai soccer team and their coach got stuck in the Tham Luang cave. The cave got flooded while they were inside. It took 10 days just to find them and then several more days to get them all out. This Thailand cave rescue story is what I am telling you about in this video. The story of the wild boar’s soccer team and their cave rescue. Join me as we have a look at the Tham Luang cave today.

I have visited the Tham Luang cave! They did an excellent job of honouring those who helped in the amazing rescue. Now Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non is Thailand's newest National Park.
Hi Ken 👋🏻 yeay , I still remember this sad incident happened in this cave 😢 I couldn't have imagined how terrified and scared the family must have felt and the rescue team they're super heroes. RIP to the two heroes who were unfortunately lost their lives in that Tham Luang cave mission 🙏🏻
The superhero is the team coach who taught the boys meditations during the 10 days and kept them alive, thanks to his meditation experience learned while he was monk before.
I was there shortly after the boys were saved and the cave was fenced off. Could not get near it. Also you had to park far away and walk or hire a tuk tuk like vehicle to get to cave area. Parking area had numerous food and trinket booths selling anything and everything to do with cave rescue. What struck me the most was the memorial for the Thai Navy Seal that died trying to rescue the boys. Very moving experience to be there. Payed my respects to the Navy Seal and left a few of my Ambulance service patches at his feet. A trip well worth it. Thanks Ken for the video and allowing me to relive that trip. 🙏🙏
The rescue was truly a miraculous story, on all fronts. Thank you for bringing it to light again. I teared again to re-hear it. 🙏

Yeah, the story/news of those young boys and their coach who were trapped in Tham Luan cave was over everywhere in the media/TV. I followed that story closely and felt relieved after all of them were rescued. A good motto : "UNITED AS ONE"...It was super wonderful of those experienced divers from all over the world who came to help....once again, thanks for this priceless vlog, Ken. Bravo !!!

that was in all over the news before i remember trying to get an update on the edge of my seat everyday hoping for the kids to be rescued & as well as those heroes well being ..
i remember that me & my friends discuss & try to argue about what are the ways & odds that they can save them quick as these kids are inside of the cave for the very long time & hoping for the best to all the people helps to rescue them ...
maybe it didn't end up well but thankfully the kids was saved
those heroes sacrifices will never be forgotten 💖✨🇹🇭

Hiya Ken, I bet that was a weird feeling being near the cave. That must of been the longest time for the parents of the children. Being trapped so long. Waiting to see if they would ever get out. And the scariest time for those trapped. I remember the story at the time. It was amazing. How many people came to help. Rest in Peace. To the gentleman that lost their lives. I remember hearing about this sad story all over the news and then I saw that I think recently they came out with a national geographic documentary on Disney + which I watched last night with my brother. It was such a sad story but with such a happy ending for all 13 of them. All the divers and people who helped out are heroes and those boys were all so brave as well

Yes the story of the boys stuck in the cave was very famous!
Remembered reading about this story, there is happy ending with all the boys and their coach rescued, but the sad part is the 2 casualties. Your decription of the narrow and dark caves also reminded me about crawling through a dark and narrow cave chamber (Gua Telinga or Cave of the Ear) in the Malaysian national park in Pahang, but was thrill, adventurous and lasted perhaps about half hour. Recommend that you try when you come to Malaysia again.

Ken, I didn't expect you to go to this cave. I remembered being captivated by this story everyday and I was in Thailand at that time, Buddhist meditation partly saved their lives without food or water. I would have love to see what's inside the cave instead of just showing the outside.

With the movie "Thirteen Lives" released yesterday I wonder if this video of yours is going to get more hits.
If i not mistaken during that time is raining. They try to get place for shelter. Suddenly the water level keep rise and they go further more until stuck inside. The most important part in this incident the whole word pray for the safety of this kids and rescue team, watched news to get new update and the expertise diver around the world together to rescue 12 kids and 1 assisntant coach. Rip to 1 thai navy seal diver who dead during the rescue process.

This cave has been closed for awhile due to covid. There is a movie being made there by Netflix over the last 2 months so it toattaly closed so you were lucky to get into the area.
Yes I run into that movie set the day prior. They told me I can come back next day, it's their day off 😄

I remember it was British guys who done the rescue,and the thanks they got for it was that prick Elon Musk calling them paedos because they refused his submarine idea.
the British guy is a Cave expert, and the very first person to quickly notify the authority to bring Cave Rescue team from Britain !

An interesting fact afterwards was that all the boys except one who was a Christian spent sometime at a Buddhist monastery as novice monks . The coach spending 3 months there . I think their lack of notoriety is a very different culture than in the western world . I’m sure they will forever be indebted to the 2 that lost their lives trying to rescue them . The World watched as people from around the Globe cane to help while experiencing the kindness of Thai people , unequalled by any other . Ron Howard is directing and producing a Netflix movie about the ordeal

Rainy season makes the caves dangerous because of water surges in the caves. That was what happened. They boys were sedated to get them out safely & prevent them panicking.

One of them is already headed to the United States of America, I mean you can't keep track of the rest of the 12 boys and 1 coach, but they've separated a little bit that is what I know to be.
It's not so scary inside interesting staligtites I've been 1k inside but big belly can't fit small spaces.

Nov 2019 the movie was out named The Cave..90% replicate the real situation.

Just watched Ron Howard's movie "13 Lives" BUT being at the mouth of the actual cave is so much more powerful & scary! 😳🤿 The Story also makes you think about the other 100's & 1000's who perished without any rescue. RIP 🙏🏻
