First time watching your channel today. I'm more impress with that nice young Hmong man making coffee and serving you. He is super friendly and his English is very good for that village. You were good with him and I will watch again. Dee mark mark.
Many Hmong people settled in America. They fought Laos communists. That young man’s uncle likely fought against the communists as well. I love the beautiful scenery. Thank you for showing us the local vibes.
Wow ken! You're really digging into things. Just keeps getting better and better. Your hotel there is fantastic. The Coffee guy is going to be a big success, I love these guys who go to school and return to their home villages and bring skills and ideas back. It really says a lot about their culture. Can't wait for more adventures.
Hi Ken, What a very enjoyable vlog. Your communication with the coffee shop owner and your caring about people being scared of the cattle just shows what an amazing person you are. Your enthusiasm for the views and surrounding beauty of the area was beautifully captured and shared. Thank you for being you and sharing your travels. All the best, stay safe, Michael
What a nice fella at the first villiage you came to. I actually said "WOW" out loud when I say the view fron your room balcony! Really enjoying this trip.
my son has lived in Chiang Mai for 10 years we have visited him a few times and done the usual Bangkok , Pattaya, Kho Chiang, Kho Samui etc, but never seen anything as beautiful as this, thanks for the video.
What a nice spot. It's very surprising that there is a local guy at the Coffee Cafe which can speak English fluently. For a remote area like that, the hotel looks awesome. Looking forward you next vlog(s) about Mae Salong.
I went to Pu Chi Fa. Stunningly beautiful, woke up at 5am to march up the hill to get a view of the sun rise. Had a blood moon the night before which was pretty weird and I've never seen anything like it since.
@@KenAbroad dude, that sucks. I have vid on my channel showing what its like on a nice day. Not self promoting. I make mediocre videos for myself just for fun :)
I feel like I am riding beside/behind you wherever you go...LOL. Enjoy you video clips as always. You are a down to earth human being, very nice to local people.
Wow! The scenery are simply so beautiful! So peaceful, so green with plants and clean air (notice not many vehicles around) -therefore not much pollution. Friendly cows with "cow bells" around their necks - so interesting! Thank you, Ken.
Ken you are finally in the land of hidden gems . That's the reason I was encouraging you to explore further north. Hmong people are down to earth but need to respect their local laws . The view from your cottage was mesmerising and iconic . Your vlog is getting much more pro now and your presentation is beautiful. Cheers !
So in Thailand people always speak first pasa baan (local language or language of the house) and then of course they learn the national language Thai, which is taught at school and the language they speak when they go away to work in the cities, study, etc. As you experienced yourself, Thailand is culturally diverse.
The young village shop merchant speaks very good English and he looks so cute. Lol. 😅 Your interaction with him is so uplifting, inspiring and very sweet to watch. 18:23 OH MY GODDDDDDDD!!! 100 millions view.
As always, Borderland adventures with amazing views.... A great accomodation with stunning views.... Can't complain anymore about that... as always, stay safe, be vigilant, ride safely...

Just loved this video Ken ❤ What a fantastic day you had. You are a very kind respectful person to everyone you meet. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. Thanks 😊
Great video Ken. Makes me want to go there. Language tip: the Thai word for beautiful/lovely is สวย. You are saying it as one syllable (sway) but it is really two: Soo-way with a rising tone.
Hi Ken 👋 nice and relaxing ride to the mountains , the tribe guy from the small village speak good English so impressive 👍🏻 he’s really friendly and how thoughtful of him to invite you to try his new coffee shop , everything comes from their farm , the coffee beans , rice and corn for making alcohol etc. I could imagine how delicious the coffee tasted 👍🏻😅 such a beautiful scenery so picturesque 👏🏻 nice hotel Ken and a million dollar view wowwow 😱 amazing 👍🏻 this is interesting to bumped into a herd of cows anyway gorgeous view by the balcony. , enjoy your food and have a nice day Ken 👍🏻🥰😊
Ken, please do a trip to Phu Chi Dao and Doi Pha Tang. They are just a few kms away and the scenery is equally stunning! Would love to see a vlog of those 2 places!
ok. it's the next day, and i get to sit down and concentrate on watching the entire vlog. 😁 1/ the hmong cafe owner is really young. it is good to start young. all the best to him. 2/ "we come in peace" ? say that in Moo language please~ 😁 3/ the view from your balcony is stunning!!! 4/ since you are in majority hmong area, try their cuisine... dont miss the chance!!!
Wow, Beautiful! If all goes well, I will be cycling up to that viewpoint in Dec. I'm doing a supported road bike tour from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai and I just checked the itinerary and Phu Chi Fa viewpoint is on it! I better go ride some miles. Thanks for the motivation!
Very interesting exploration of the border area, with a cafe specializing in claypot coffee which I also have not heard about. Very interesting preparation method and the filtering just reminds me of experiment in Chemistry classes. 🤣 The view on top of the mountain at the border is stunning, so is the view at your balcony. I would stay 2 days at the place, if I were you.
beautiful area! thanks for the adventure 😀 Your motorcycle will be getting a workout on those mountains... sure you keep an eye on your motorcycles oil level! Look forward to visiting this place 🙂
Hi Ken 🙏, the painted stone is called monument. Wasn't that nice that you came upon that Hmong guy and have him to conversate with? He seems to be very friendly and entrepreneurial as well. Awesome 👍.
It's real fun travelling with you to Phu Chi Fa...as always lovely scenery along the way and great drone footage. Love that village vibe and that young man speaks very good English. Good of him to show you how to grind coffee beans and make your coffee. Wonderful of you to show us Thailand/Loas border. Aha... a great experience for you to be in Loas for a while...👍👍 Nice ending of the video with a super beautiful sunset. Great work Ken 💪💪

It’s called a monument! On top of the first stop you made! That little house your staying at with the view, looked stunning 🤩. I was in Laos about 10 years ago, if you like the country side and less tourists, it’s wonderful. Do you plan to visit Laos soon?
ken i love your videos you are such a kind person with a great attitude , beautiful sightseeings , awsome food , try to show more girls in your videos , we love asian beauty! cheers
Guten abend Herr Ken, Thank you for doing the stunningly beautiful video of Pu Che Fah! (Pu = Peak, Che = to point, Fah = the sky)! And you can see why! The clay pot coffee roasting method is new to me as well! Pretty interesting that you had to work hard for your own cup of coffee! Would've been nice if he'd shown you the actual clay pot though. The view of the peak is absolutely gorgeous! You're right again, the video doesn't really do justice! One must be there to see it in person! Danke schoen! By the way, monolith is the word in English to describe a stone monument! Sabai Dee is how you say hello in Laos! Ciao und Aufwedersehen!
Ken mate. Not sure if you ever watch any of the Vlogs of fellow Vlogger there in northern Thailand Paddy Doyle. He recently visited a village of a hilltribe somewhere close to a place called Pai and had an uncomfortable experience even though he and his guide wore a mask. Because they are so far removed from outside civilisation they were comfortable in their own existence from the threat of Covid-19 so when a farang turned up out of nowhere their reaction was not positive. I thought I'd mention that just so you were aware of it and didn't experience something similar :)
Beautiful journey and so well documented Thank you Ken I think you shd go to Laos next But Japan is simply the best. Very expensive compared to Thailand Malaysia Laos Vietnam Cambodia
To say hello in Lao you will say "sabaidee" You can also drop the S in LAOS & just use LAO it's how the Lao people refer to their country & it's people It's only the west that call it LAOS & Laotian
I'm just curious... why do you quote prices in USD and MYR? I understand lots of people, even if they aren't from USA can relate their local currency to USD.. but why also MYR?

Excellent Ken. I went there. Beautiful sunrise if you can get there before the sun comes up.
The ultimate border video! It's crazy how you're basically in two different countries at the same time. Stunning views on the mountain top!!!
So nice of you to support the young coffee entrepreneur ! Also really awesome of him to use his education to help his family back home
