I hope you enjoy learning about my favourite way to paint a bronze statue. Thanks for watching!
Excellent! Love the simplicity of your instructions and the clear video footage. Thank you!
👏👏👏
Can you tell me what paint you used for the black primer?
I love Geoff's models.
Yeah, they’re fantastic!
@@MMsPropShop i can't wait to print the new boxes he just released.
This effect is fantastic. I know this video was a while ago, but do you remember how you did the base file? I'm printing this file now and your base is smaller than the original from the depot and I like yours more. Thanks!
I had completed forgotten that I’d modified it until you mentioned it. I believe in Meshmixer I plane cut the very ends off, plane cut where I wanted the base to stop, then moved the ends inwards to the cuts so that they had the correct texture on the new ends. I really hope that makes sense.
@@MMsPropShop Totally makes sense and that was my guess! Thank you! Your videos are awesome! I am subbed on two accounts.
I want to try this technique but I can't find the exact Craft Smart paint you use in the video. The local craft stores don't carry it and I couldn't find it online either. If it has been discontinued, can you recommend another matte version of this paint?
You could possibly mix in some matte medium to any metallic bronze paint to achieve a similar effect.
Can this method be used on brass items?
You’d want to make sure that you prime/paint it using paints that would like sticking to metal, but yes, I imagine that it would work fine.
simple genius. Thanks for sharing.
