- Today I will paint up a 3D print of the bull statue from House Atreides, from Denis Villeneuve's movie, Dune (2021). I go through how to get a realistic looking bronze effect, with weathering and verdigris.

I have a bronze slab with a pendant shape on it and you nailed the finish to look like it.
This is one of your best videos thus far Dan. The painting astonished me, the verdigris green has a strange beauty to it. The editing style was beautiful too and I hope to see more videos in the future with the same style. In the far future I may have a little lightsaber project for you to paint as a commission, I'm sure you like lightsabers ha ha. Anyway thanks once again for another awesome video. But the bull is the Harkonnen's symbol. The matador would then symbolize the Atreides.

Thank you! I'm glad the video helped. For my airbrush I just have a basic one from Amazon, the kind you get in a kit with a little air compressor, usually £80-£100/$, something like that. Great for how I use it, which is not too often but is reliable if looked after. The music tracks you can usually see picked out in the video description :D

Hi Dan great video, love it, I was wondering what material you used as filler?
I like 3m green acryl spot putty. Dries pretty quickly and sands nicely (but you will have green dust everywhere!)

Not sure if you can buy one outright. This was a commission that a client came to me with. They bought an SLA resin print of it from a seller on Etsy and had it shipped to me to do the paintwork and finishing. I'm happy to take on the finishing work if it's something that you wanted to do.
