It doesn’t always hurt, my first time was painless. If you’re worried about it you tense your muscles which makes it more difficult. You have to stay calm, make sure you’re fully aroused and finger yourself before. Hopefully whoever you have your first time with will make it an enjoyable experience for you.
It depends on how tight your vagina is, as weird as that sounds. Some people are looser than others. It’s simply the way that your body is made. It won’t always be that way, but after a few months/years of not having sex, it will hurt the same as the first time.

About tampons: You do not need to wear tampons if they are uncomfortable to wear for you! I know that's usually what people use so it seems like the only option but I use pads. I was born with imperforate hymen so my hymen was sealed shut and I had to get it surgically opened. No tampons I use are comfortable no matter what size/brand/type. Do what makes you comfortable! Pads are totally acceptable to wear too. I don't know if anyone needed this but I wish I heard this when I first got my period.
Oh I was always told you wear pads when you first start but its been a couple of years since I have and I still wear pads and I'm too afraid to even look at tampons let alone use one my mom doesn't care what I use but I was always told that

The first time I shaved down there I DID get a lot of bumps and it hurt BUUUT your skin will get used to it the more you do it over time. :) Make sure you're not using a dull razor. Don't press too hard, you'll know the more you do it. Make sure to put moisturizer after you shave down there to prevent rash. If you do have a rash then use 100% aloe vera on your skin.
if it's your first time shaving down there just go slow and take your time but _don't_ press too hard. also make sure you use a separate razor from the one you use to shave the rest of your body. it might hurt just a bit because it does feel prickly but the discomfort goes away the more you do it
If you don’t like shaving, there’s other alternatives (such as Nair) just make sure the package says it’s for the bikini area before buying. ella mei You don’t have to. My hair is super coarse and thick, I get ingrown hairs and razor bumps, and it grows out super fast and then it’s just itchy for days. Plus I have a lot of folds and shit, I can’t even reach or properly shave most areas down there. Nair doesn’t even work, and I kept it on long enough to give myself a burn (and I used the one for coarse hair).
Solution: trimming. I keep these small, sharp scissors in the bathroom and just trim so the hair doesn’t “hang down,” it’s short enough to be a thin layer but not too short so it’s not itchy, and I can reach all the parts. 😊

More advice~ Every vagina is different, every penis is different. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get used to the fit: if it's difficult or uncomfortable, different positions might be better/easier because of your anatomy!
- Stinging after sex might occur because of microtears, which sounds scary but it's completely okay. They're just small cuts/rips in your vagina, such as the entrance, and usually happens when there is too much friction e.g. not enough wetness, use lube!! (this would explain why Jazz said it didn't sting as much peeing after when she used more lube). It usually heals by itself in a couple days if you leave it alone :)
- Also, don't feel weird using lube! I used to feel like there was smth wrong if I needed to use it because 'why couldn't I get wet enough on my own' - needing to use lube is okay and normal!!!

Hi! I'm making this comment since I've been seeing a lot of misconceptions. Here are a few things, but feel free to ask more questions in the replies.
• Don't be ashamed when bringing up the possibility of sex toys.
• Don't be ashamed to ask about what your partner likes and what you can do to make the experience better.
• Herpes isn't that bad. It's essentially junk acne.
• Tampons are not for everyone. It may be weird the first time and maybe the second time, but after the third time it shouldn't be weird. It should not be uncomfortable! If it is, try repositioning it. In my experience, they are much more convenient than pads but you may need to get the hang of them. While I'm on the topic of tampons, DO NOT SLEEP WITH THEM IN! Doing so can result in toxic shock syndrome. It's not common, but I wouldn't suggest risking it!
• Men can be raped too.
• Remember to check in every so often when having sex. When starting and then 5 -10 minutes later is best.
• Being wet/hard does not mean they are aroused/ they consent/they want it and vice versa. You need VERBAL consent.
• Don't feel pressured to engage in sexual activity with someone. If they are trying to get you to have sex with them instead of respecting you, cut ties with them!
• The vagina DOES NOT stretch the more you have sex. A looser vagina does not mean she has had sex or that she is sexually active. It can also be the exact opposite where a tighter vagina doesn't mean she's a virgin. But the more you have sex, the more used to it you get.
• Remember to use lube. Not always, but if you can't get wet enough, it can help. You don't need actual lube. You can also use saliva.
• Most people are WRONG about how a hymen works. None are alike, but they all work the same way. The hymen is a thin stretchy bit AROUND the vagina. If it covered the vagina entirely, where would the period blood go? It's not a freshness seal, it's a balloon arch. Sometimes it tears during sex if you're not careful, but it can also tear from other activities such as gymnastics. Some people have hymens that cover their entire vagina, but it's incredibly rare and you need surgery to get the extra bits off. The hymen heals, and it is not a built in virginity detector.
• It shouldn't hurt when you lose your virginity. It can if you aren't wet enough or if you aren't careful, but it shouldn't hurt more than a paper cut. It might be uncomfortable, but as you do it for longer/more often it becomes more pleasurable.
• It is NORMAL to cry during your first time/first few times. It's okay to let it out, just make sure you tell your partner to keep going (only if you want to keep going, duh). If your partner is the one crying, stop and ask if she/they want to continue.
Guys a tip my Biology teacher gave us at sex education: Ladys if it hurts when you are about to have sex, go to a giynecologist. You might have thicker himen so it will be harder and more painfull to break it. So youll have to do a like a surgery for your himen to be cutted so it wont be hurting like that anymore. GO TO A GINECOLOGIST. Go with your friend, mom or somebldy you trust and ask first or search if its a man or woman. It would get more confortable if is a woman as a gynecologist then if it was a man. At least for me.

It’s not always going to be perfect either and it’s good to prepare that there will be an awkward kiss or motion every once in awhile but that’s just normal and human. When I first kissed someone I had absolutely no clue what I was doing. But, after literally five seconds you both pick up on each other motions and there’s a sort of Rhythm that you both get into. You kiss differently with different people but try not to use too much saliva (just know that after u kiss a little saliva like on ur mouth is normal lol) and be confident. I normally get so nervous before I kiss someone but then after im like “oh that wasn’t bad at all and was really fun”. Also, there’s a huge difference between kissing someone that you don’t like and are just kissing to kiss vs kissing someone u genuinely like.
