practice the first 2 forms of wing chun. impetus power. think of a bow and arrow, one side moves back with a snap, the other forward with a snap.. put that into your body movements.
F=ma, force is mass times acceleration, if you have enough mass and can accelerate quickly even a small distance can supply enough force. Every thing starts from the ground using torsional force through ankles, legs, hips, shoulders and turning that into linear force. M obviously has the mass but his acceleration is outstanding and I think that is the key.
@@thomasda3482 you learn to generate power even when you don't have your legs, or hips or other body parts to help. Of course if you have them all available you use all your body in harmony. You can learn to use "jerky" power from different drills, but from my experience, wing chun and even karate has phenomenal power generation from short distances even if your feet, legs and hips aren't necessarily available.
