    So true! Most bigger guys have a tendency to puff out their chins and try to make themselves look taller. They could be expecting a shot to the groin, but not multiple shots to the throat. Great advice as always. Thanks.

Not only urban combative is simply one of the best self defense stuff I've ever seen, also you, as a trainer (..and Lee Morrison also) are one of the most down to earth and empathic trainers I have ever seen. This is pure gold!! Looking forward to practice some day with you guys, huge regards from germany!

Beware weapons, snartched-up objects, slippery floors, or his buddies.

    My limited experience says that punching is a bad idea in the street. Broken pinky fingers and thumbs is common. Both boxers and MMA fighters wrap their hands and they are well conditioned athletes. In addition I believe that punching the throat is unlikely to happen under an extremely stressful situation of a street attack on the street.

    • @schoolofselfprotection
      @schoolofselfprotection  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If I spar ? Of course I do! In standing and ground fight. With highly skilled people.😂😂 AJ Bakker will end up on a very bad place. I eat him alive. He thinks I never spar 😂😂You ever looked as his sparring? It’s very bad. He wants attention and acts all awesome online. I just want him to come to me. I don’t spar. I will fight with him. That’s something else. Let this be very clear. I spar every week. This AJ shows the worst sparring sessions ever. The people who know me laugh about this delusional man. He would not survive. There is a height and weight disparity. And I actually fought more in the ring then he did. He shows only footage of a very bad amateur mma fight. He has a problem with me: so he needs to come to me. He can film it. Man I even would like to pay him money to show up. But show up to fight. Not to talk. And don’t cry about the consequences later. He is a blatant liar. And he will face consequences from that one day. This insecure man is creating enemies everywhere. But you see, a real man wouldn’t talk via the screen. He would just come and get it done. Something he will never do. It’s all gongs and drums. See it from my perspective: what is there to gain for me? Only me showing ego. And me beating up a smaller less skilled man. Hence the reason he should put his money where his mouth is by showing up and come to me. This little narcissist can get it when he wants it. A real man should solve it. Remember he has a problem with me. I’m not losing sleep about this man. But my door is open for him. 🤣

    The fact that you didn't seem to mention, not even once, that a single strike to the throat can be fatal - I find that kind of shocking. Personally, if and when I ever taught throat strikes in self defense and MA - I always started off by explaining the law and how it applies to situations like this. In most countries you can legally match the force that is being used against you. So, if you can prove that you genuinely felt your life was being threatened - then you 'might' get away with killing your assailant, however thats a very high bar to clear legally speaking.
    Your students and YT viewers should probably be made aware of the seriousness of the legal situation they could find themselves in. Striking to the throat should only ever be used as a last resort if you fear you could die in the attack.
    And for the "Better to be judged by 12 than carried by six" crowd - that's cute, your courts don't feel that way though and they will prosecute you for manslaughter at the least 🤷🏼‍♂️

    • @schoolofselfprotection
      @schoolofselfprotection  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Ssssst I did. A single strike to the throat done be a smaller and weaker individual is not as lethal as you think. You just don’t understand the context where this is used. I explained that only 26384904 times. You see the title of this video? That’s the context. I ALWAYS mention: if you cannot avoid or escape or de-escalate. It has to be reasonable and necessary what you did. All the talk of the legal when there is a threat disparity like explained multiple times in the video will get in the way.
