I just really want a post-apocalyptic game where you play as the last human on earth, and there're no monsters or zombies, just you (and maybe your cat/dog) trying to stay alive in whatever that's left of our civilization. You can get food from deserted shopping malls, build shelters in city ruins, find a car that's somehow still working, travel to new places and discover their stories and all that. It just feels really chill like makes you forget about time.
Imagine this: you are a common person living your normal life and one day you have this weird dream and when you wake up, your house his falling apart like it was very old and as you leave the house you see the whole world around you devoured by nature. There's a complete silent atmosphere and no one seems to be around. As you progress in the game, you find newspapers, letters and other clues as you try to understand what actually happened to cause such thing. You are able to search for food and shelter and eventually you find a pet (cat/dog, you are able to choose) but they appear to be... Dead. There are some sort of weird zombie looking creature. Besides that, they still behave normally. As the time goes by, you start forgetting your name and your main objective of trying to find a reason for all that has happened. This is your new reality. When you are close to reaching the end of your life, old and lonely, you wake up in your house, in the past corrupted and poluted world you once lived in. THE END

This picture has a certain kind of beauty to it. I know that this depicts the world at its worst but at the same time it also looks like I could enjoy a cup of tea sitting at the window and enjoy the poetry in the fact that this ambiance arose after the aftermath of the near extinction of humans.
The sound of the city used to be the life of the crowd, car horns, and the occasional street performer. Now the only sound is wind, which whistles through hollow buildings and onto desolate streets.
Even though the apocalypse will eventually happen but I’ve been getting myself prepared for being alone which sucks but just listening to this is really peaceful. Don’t have radios blasting music nor fights breaking out maybe once in a while. You did pretty good with this, I like it. Humans are a communal species, before the last 3,000 years with the ascent of masters then kings and today CEO's, we were a remarkably co-operative, egalitarian hunter gatherer species that is mostly sociologically averse to inter species violence, if we had not have been genetically predisposed to work together, we would never have survived the ice ages we have endured, to be where we are now. Look at a mother, most mothers naturally teach their child to share, to care for others, to be fair, to be respectful, to co-operate. It is capitalism today that has no place for that as feudalism had no place for it before and master/slave before that. Humanity can do better, and in its darkest hours, often does.
It would be exciting maybe for a few of days. Then the fact you are hungry, tired, cold, haven't had a wash for days and in fear for your life 24/7 would start to take its toll. A bit pessimistic I know, but probably realistic.
For aome reason I love harsh envirnoments, ruins, lack of rules and civilisation... It calms me, unlike my daily laughable struggles that I face because I do not know the rules, that put my mind into state of chaos... I can't tell if that's a raging fire tearing apart the only shelter the person with the last remaining camera knew, a fireplace burning softly as children try to survive the cold harsh night, or a campfire, surrounded by a group of travelers heading south
There's something strange about the feeling of satisfaction and peace when looking at the wasteland. There's just something about the abandoned buildings, deserted streets, and everything else that makes it so appealing. It must be the fact that there is true freedom and the only thing holding you down is natural laws. Maybe the fact that there are not much people around anymore. Or maybe it's the fact that you know that you will die soon with everything else and the feeling of acceptance because you will be part of this empty peace. I don't know.
I was looking for this sort of ambience a week or two ago but didn't find one I liked, until now. I absolutely love this, especially the rain part. It sounds so realistic. Thank you for making this!

What an ingenious idea; two things that you might think are polar opposites, ambiance and a post-apocalyptic landscape. But somehow it works. This has a kind of 'I Am Legend' feel to it, the utter emptiness of the abandoned city.
Ngl this isn't my most favorite ambience ever lol, but I will say that the sounds are actually really nice and make me think of a windy, broody moor such as in Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre. Hey, those would make cool ambiences! Dystopia scenes just aren't my aesthetic, but I ain't mad at it ❤

I really like apocalyptic themes in media so I quite like this. I think a couple of chirping birds or animal life at the very end would have been a nice hopeful symbol to pair nicely with the storm ending. I really like this original idea regardless. I like the visual a lot. I think other apocalyptic settings would be interesting to see as well. Awesome video!!
I really like this one. You're talented at this. Most apocalypse ambience videos are too loud or have shitty unmoving visuals. It's good to make it little animated. I also like that the rain sets in at one point and isn't there from the start.

tbh this makes me happy. It's a weight off my shoulders to imagine all the good and bad is over. no more pressure to win or fear of loss. We all did our best, but it doesn't matter anymore. I wouldn't mind living in a world like that as a survivor, I would keep my group of 3 to 4 people and that's it.. it would be so quiet, I would go sleep on the rooftop on a clear night sky where we can finally see the stars because there a no lights anymore, travelling around the city and discover places that you've never seen before.. yes there would be the danger of other humans but just don't be dumb and be vigilant and quiet and you're fine

It gives the impression that there are probably other survivors sitting, lying, or hanging about in there with a fire going. Which is a comforting view and thought (if they're non-hostile, of course).
Plant a garden man and save those fruit and vegetable seeds for planting. Find yourself some weapons if you can. Stock up on lighters. Plastic is a good fire starter material.(it burns slow and steady)

We know that many places have gone through this and that we would most likely go through it to, but for some reason we still think of zombies.

What an ingenious idea; two things that you might think are polar opposites, ambiance and a post-apocalyptic landscape. But somehow it works. This has a kind of 'I Am Legend' feel to it, the utter emptiness of the abandoned city.

Ngl this isn't my most favorite ambience ever lol, but I will say that the sounds are actually really nice and make me think of a windy, broody moor such as in Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre. Hey, those would make cool ambiences! Dystopia scenes just aren't my aesthetic, but I ain't mad at it ❤

I really like apocalyptic themes in media so I quite like this. I think a couple of chirping birds or animal life at the very end would have been a nice hopeful symbol to pair nicely with the storm ending. I really like this original idea regardless. I like the visual a lot. I think other apocalyptic settings would be interesting to see as well. Awesome video!!

I really like this one. You're talented at this. Most apocalypse ambience videos are too loud or have shitty unmoving visuals. It's good to make it little animated. I also like that the rain sets in at one point and isn't there from the start.

why do I feel such a calling to dystopian settings? I know deep down it would be a horrible and miserable experience for everyone, without all the luxuries we all take for granted, so why? Why do I desire to struggle to fight and survive in a world like that?

tbh this makes me happy. It's a weight off my shoulders to imagine all the good and bad is over. no more pressure to win or fear of loss. We all did our best, but it doesn't matter anymore.

True really...I plan on moving to the mountains in france with my family from paris. I hope to visit japan too, its ashame how everything is coming to an end.
@@fluffibunimadi you should, living in cities is bad and just depressing especially paris, suburbs or more rural areas are better and if something happens, you could easily hide in the mountains or you would be unaffected given a crisis usually takes place in cities

I wouldn't mind living in a world like that as a survivor, I would keep my group of 3 to 4 people and that's it.. it would be so quiet, I would go sleep on the rooftop on a clear night sky where we can finally see the stars because there a no lights anymore, travelling around the city and discover places that you've never seen before.. yes there would be the danger of other humans but just don't be dumb and be vigilant and quiet and you're fine

Wouldn't call it romanticizing. You can't deny it'd be simpler definitely no petty drama or incessant bullshit ass kissing, fake people. You just worry about food and a place to sleep. Wash or wipe off when you can and if you're lucky one person you care about at least. Being alone would be bad at times but I think I'd make peace with it. I have no delusions about it being easy

Bro this is so trippy I love it idk I just love feeling trippy it’s just feels so cool like when I have hallucinations at 4 am and see random stuff spiraling in circles or my eyeballs zoom in to stuff like it’s weird but feels cool, when I get the hallucinations it feels like I’m flying
It’s like an adventure, discovering new moods environments like in real life, love that’s it not the same image and sound throughout👍😊😁

@Wise Old Owl comment about the flowers being "a sign of hope" made me think about other things in the video. I scrolled back up and looked at the video and noticed other windows are glowing. It gives the impression that there are probably other survivors sitting, lying, or hanging about in there with a fire going. Which is a comforting view and thought (if they're non-hostile, of course).
I see myself scavenging for food and maybe planting an outdoor garden.
Plant a garden man and save those fruit and vegetable seeds for planting.
Find yourself some weapons if you can.
Stock up on lighters.
Plastic is a good fire starter material.(it burns slow and steady)
