Would love a version of this where we can be inside. Getting in out of the weather. Manning the radios for updates. Warm. Getting some rest while we can.
The extreme difference between outside hostile weather and events, verses the inside environment of warmth, light, and relative safety are my favorite art subjects. A freezing blizzard seen through the window of a warm cabin with a crackling fire is as good as it gets for me.
11th June 2257 Seems Colonel Darwin got what he asked for. A thermal bombardment of a heavily fortified Helgan position and it was vaporised. It also struck something that's capable of burning, the forest is awash with flame that, despite the rain, doesn't seem to be slowed down or stopping. Our tank was bogged down in the mud for most of today. I think if anything, we have only gone about 5 miles. The 5 miles we went were simply crossing a clearing, and there wasn't much room to manoeuvre. There's still a lot of fighting going on, and the fire is a good 20 miles away from us. We haved moved the tank into a storage shed of some kind. Our gunner grew up on a world similar to this one, and he says a shed of this size is used to store grain feed for animals. I know Tantel is a nature reserve, but you don't need to feed animals when they have a forest to call home. We are holding up here for the night. Another 2 tanks, Grave Digger and Greyhound are with us as well. We have pooled our rations together and the 12 of us have eaten well. Although we are spending the night here, we can feel the heat from the forest fire at our backs. Corporal Allen says the fire will catch up with us if we linger too long. I'm honestly inclined to agree with her, but at the same time, I don't want to frighten anyone. We will keep the engines ticking over tonight, just as a precaution. I like the new ambience sounds! Millions of videos with the same rain sounds over and over again. Nice change of pace. Just wish there were more 320kbps audio options for your videos and audio.
I must insist on the radio chatter being a “tad” bit louder I like being able to hear what the operators are saying cheers mate keep up the good work, Much love from Texas
I use the Radio chatter as a mumbling sound so that people don't focus on what they are saying and it doesn't interfere with people's sleep or study. I'm glad you like mate. Cheers :)

This sound works much better than previous versions of "Resistance", the rain sound is rather weak by default, this can be countered by using audio software enhancement such as "nahimic volume stabilizer" in my case I decided to leave it off and let the sound play as unenhanced as possible, the rain does mix well with the distant firing sounds, so they work very well together as white noise. The bass needed a small 20% reduction at speakers and a small 10% increase in volume, after adjusting, this sound worked very well for the night, there were no surprise noises and slept nice and deep. 👍
