    Beautiful and excellent work. The only problem I see with using wood is that daily use will require a frequent counter wipe down. Water stains will eventually show up. I already have a floating built in sink counter with nothing underneath. I found the perfect throw away dresser that I will convert to an under counter vanity, similar to what you see in hotels.

    Although I am not a fan of the salad bowl sink look, you did a great job. I love the gold faucet. And I especially love the finish on the dresser. Very nice.

    I love this. I have had the dresser but was apprehensive about doing it. You make it seem doable. Thanks for great instructions.

    Wow! I'd be washing my hands 10 times a day if I had a vanity like that.

    Great idea! I love upcycling vintage furniture to use in different ways. I've just turned a vintage sideboard into a kitchen sink unit. So much cheaper and much better quality than normal kitchen furniture.

    Maybe you could place a brass towel rail on the side for your hand towel.

    Love it‼️ This has. Even a project I have longed to do for several years!! My husband is only handy if the project involves 4 wheels and a big motor! 🤷‍♀️😏

    Looks nice but if you ever have an emergency and have to turn off the water. That could be a problem since you’ll have to move the vanity to get to the shut off valve

      We didn’t mount the dresser so it can easily be pulled out to access the pipes.

    How do the bottom drawers work? I’ve thought of actually making doors of the bottom drawer fronts and put

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  ปีที่แล้ว

      The lower two drawers work as normal. We were able to fit the plumbing in so we only had to cut out the top draw a little.

  • @annabardon8994

    hello could i protect the top with an exterior varnish? One for painting sheds with. Thanks a lot for your video!

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a oil base sealer and it has held up great. A exterior sealer would probably work great.

    What height was your dresser? Hoping to do something similar but dont want to end up with something too tall!

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The dresser is 34 inches tall.

  • @abigailrutkowski5149

    did you sand down and restain the whole dresser or just the top?

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just refinished the dresser top. For the rest of the dresser I just touched up with some stain where there was any scratches and scuffs.

  • @jillyoude6909

    Looks amazing!!! Did you glue the sink down to the top or it is just held in place with the ring around the drain hole?

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is held in place with the plumbing.

  • @susiestokely3811

    Nice but what about the gapping hole BEHIND the vanity?

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      We still have some more trim work to do in the bathroom but we haven’t gotten to that yet. But for the most part the open space isn’t visible and if we ever have any plumbing issues than we can always easily access all the plumbing.
      Thanks for watching! 😄

    Do you sandpaper wood before you stain it?

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I sanded down the old finish before I stained it.

  • @patrickcannady493

    Were you able to limit the travel of the faucet so that it would not discharge water onto the top of the dresser?

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We haven’t had any trouble with the faucet. It’s been working great!

    What did u do to rehab the rest of the dresser ? It was dull and scratched

    • @JessObie
      @JessObie  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just went over it with the stain and that shined it up really nicely.
      Thank you for watching!
