MATERIALS NEEDED:
1 4x8' sheet of red oak plywood
4 2x2x36" red oak boards for the legs
2 1x2" red oak boards for horizontal pieces.
2 pairs of drawer slides
1 1/4" sheet of plywood for drawer bottoms
Wood stain - General Finishes gel stain, one coat of colonial maple (amzn.to/3nrF4Er), one coat of antique walnut (amzn.to/2YNjL67).

Andrea is so talented that this TH-cam channel is my favorite of all the furniture makeover channels. Many are now using her tutorial on how to make her custom wood base. She is so generous with her knowledge. Her custom made vanity looks like a million bucks!

Truth! I made one, followed Andrea's measurement guidelines and it came out beautiful! Yes, everyone is making this frame/base on other furniture channels...(some give her credit for her design which is honourable), and I agree also, that even though my time is very limited for reviewing new furniture flips now children are back in school, home schooling one child, plus some online courses myself......so not flipping furniture until holidays ...yet Andrea and Deans channel is the one I still try keep up with :) They are a blessing!

Those furniture bases made you the queen of furniture flippers. What’s this gonna do? You did a professional job on that piece, and bringing it in for $200 was great. That money spent on a commercial unit wouldn’t have bought you nearly the quality. The next time you want an mcm piece just build it! Oh, and, those were some big damn chipmunks!
Who else goes back and watches their wrap-up ending after you watch the outtakes??? I honestly ALWAYS have to go watch it again.

It’s perfect! I absolutely LOVE oak! We have it all over the house. It’s timeless and I HATE to see people paint it all the time. The entire build was done with love. You can see it as you sit back and look after each step. So well done.

I’ve found that adding a coat of wood conditioner before staining helps to avoid blotchiness in the stain coat.

Thanks for this video. I was watching the bathroom makeover video with my wife when y’all casually that Andrea was building a vanity. And then bam! This beautiful vanity appeared with only about 30 seconds of video time. I had to stop the video and point out to my wife “She built that vanity!” I might have asked my wife what she had ever built for me but that didn’t go over well. We are wrapping up a two year gut renovation and I’ve been scared to death on how to approach the finishing touches and tackle things like this. While I might not build a vanity, I am inspired by your use of screw hole jigs and clamps to tackle some new projects.

Can you make a video explaining how you pick out the best pieces to flip? How can you tell between wood and mdf.. can you do a video flipping mdf? I just started watching yesterday and I’m obsessed. I want to flip a few pieces for my new home :) awesome channel
Yes I'll try to include that in some videos! Really it's the same process... and you'd be surprised how many pieces are actually just mdf with a veneer over it. I just figure if it's still in solid condition and has lasted 20+ years just fine, it probably has some good life left in it :)
