  • 🚩Update as of 12/18/23 - U.S. Mobile announced new prices for their plans. They now have annual plans, but the prices increased for the monthly unlimited plans (although they added more hotspot data). Check out their announcement: / going_nextnext_level_o...
    Back in 2020 and 2022, I tested out US Mobile. US Mobile is another MVNO that uses the Verizon & T-Mobile network. A lot has changed including their plans and prices. Needless to say this experience was much better than my previous experience with US Mobile. I'm going to give you my full review on US Mobile in 2023.

    I have my wife on it because she was on straight talk and I hated the customer service and billing. It works awesome for her!

    I've been using US for about four years. It works great, in some areas data speeds are slow, but for the most part you will experience above 78. My advise, get a physical sim, esim can be a nightmare. Yes, customer service is bad. I think they are better than Visible; no missing text, and/ or dropped calls. My only gripe, you can't call the mainland from Puerto Rico, keep in mind. I was told you can with the GSM network

    Do you hav US Mobile with international still? If so, How do you rate their service? Also, do you also get an eSim when you are traveling, I was a little confused on that?

      Hello. I still have a line with US Mobile, but I'm not actively using it. I'm paying around $3 bucks a month to park my number on US Mobile. US Mobile updated their plans a few weeks after I made my review. Both of their unlimited data plans now include international data, texting, and calling. However, you'll need use the GSM network(not Warp 5g) in order to get those features. If you are using their non-unlimited plans, you can still have international data by purchasing their esim separately. I highly recommend their website for more information. They change their plans quite frequently.

    would love to hear comments from anyone who is using their international calling feature from US to other countries. Does it work and how is the quality? Also, does the international roaming really works when traveling outside USA?

      Internacional calling works great. I make international calls to Guatemala often and the sound quality is clear and i never run out of int’l minutes.

    Question. What is with the phone on the right that has ads on just the talk screen and the text screen? That's not because of US mobile add ads to the phone is it?

    • @TechThatDoesntByte
      @TechThatDoesntByte  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      US Mobile have no ads. The phone on the right is using a different service called TextNow which is free thru ads and it required that calls are made and received thru their app that contains ad.

    For families US Mobile is hard to beat. Even if you just have 2 lines, 100gb of data and 50gb of hotspot is great. Get 3 lines and you get the perk. 4 lines, 2 perks and I think each line is 30 or 35 bucks at that point? Granted its prepaid so you need to bring your own device but the service itself is great. Their customer service is hit or miss. Its better than Visible, but i find visible customer service friendlier. US Mobile gets a 9/10 for me.

    Can this sim be used outside the us?

    • @TechThatDoesntByte
      @TechThatDoesntByte  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      They recently updated their unlimited plans that includes international roaming. Their Unlimited Starter plan(GSM 5G network) now includes 1GB of roaming data, 150 talk, and 150 texts in supported countries. I highly recommend you check out the full breakdown of the unlimited plans on their website. These new plans were released five days ago.

      Yes, you can keep the same phone. Just make sure you follow their port in instructions. www.usmobile.com/blog/porting-your-number-to-us-mobile/

      @@TechThatDoesntByte I just switched. I like the function of pool. I reviewed what I was using and 3 phones were from 6 - 9 GB per moth, the other phone was like .5GB. I was paying for unlimited in all of them it was so expensive. I hope everything works well with US Mobile. So far, technical support being great they helped me with one phone I had difficulties with esim.

      Hi! Thanks for the comment. On the left is an iPhone 15 pro on US Mobile via eSIM. The phone on the right is a Motorola one 5g ace using TextNow via their SIM card.

    How do you know if your phone's using t mobile or verizon??

    • @TechThatDoesntByte
      @TechThatDoesntByte  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello. Thanks for the comment! When you sign up with US Mobile you choose the network that you want. They have different names for T-Mobile and Verizon. 'Warp 5G' is the Verizon network and 'GSM' is the T-Mobile network. If you sign up using eSIM you pick either Warp 5G or GSM. If you sign up with a physical sim they sent a sim starter kit that has both sim cards and you pick the one that you want to use. Your phone will never show a 'Verizon' or 'T-Mobile' logo. It will only show 'US mobile.'

    Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They say 50 day free trial but instead they charge you right away. Go to Visible or another company. The customer service rep wouldn’t even fix the wrong and instead told me here’s $10.

      @TheBestDealsIl , I would have to agree. I was debating US Mobile and Visible. US Mobile has far superior service. I was on the phone twice with visible for a total of about 3 hrs and they couldn't really help. I chatted with US Mobile 2 times and they resolved my issues and answered all questions.
