ShartimusPrime Biography:
Inspired by watching boring Transformers action figure reviews, the ShartimusPrime youtube channel was launched in 2008. Engaging the audience with an edgy sense of humor for adult collectors, action figure collecting has never been this fun, and videos are posted daily! Unexpectedly, the channel became more popular for Marvel Legends reviews and Spider-Man, Avengers, and X-Men collection display videos. After a few years, the channel has branched out to review other figure properties aside from Marvel Legends and G1 Transformers Masterpiece. Hot Toys, Star Wars, Diamond Select Toys, DC Collectibles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dragon Ball Z, Attack on Titan, Godzilla, Evil Dead, and The Walking Dead toy lines have all been added to the roster of nearly 2,000 video reviews. Japanese import figures from SH Figuarts, Bandai, Figma, Square Enix, and Medicom MAFEX have been favorites as well. More recently, Kotobukiya Statues (including the very sexy Bishoujo line) and NECA Toys have become more prevalent on the channel. Being a big fan of movies such as Spider-Man, Batman, X-Men, Iron Man, Captain America, The Avengers, Evil Dead, Pacific Rim, Aliens, and other films has lead the channel in the direction of also reviewing movies, movie trailers, blu ray releases, and tv shows. News updates for 2016 releases and beyond are also posted. Audience engagement is a big part of this channel, with giveaways and fan mail being read publicly once a week in the PO Box Pick-Up videos. Impressive “Shart-Art” is shared via social media and included in the opening theme song. The audience is also kept up to date with any changes to the channel, along with recent comic book pick-ups, unboxings, and action figure hauls. Stop-motion segments punishing the popular meme of the Big Time Let Down Spider-Man close most of the comparison segments, and are compiled together for guaranteed access to patrons. Lastly, all figure reviews close with a slideshow featuring dynamic poses of the figure inspired by ACBA, with the added bonus of music performed and recorded by ShartimusPrime himself.

This is a classic comic Panther. JRJr's art on that book was just using what was his primary look from the 60's up until the Priest run in the 90's.
even thought this figure doesn't come with an alternate head, I use the T'Challa head from my What If...? T'Challa Star Lord
Yeah I like that one and the MCU head with the beard. I think they both fit pretty well and represent different looks. I do love that about the legends...
I've seen people use the blue marvel head on this. It looks good
I use the first release T'Challa head from Civil War before the re-released with a more accurate Chadwick Boseman head

The black shield agent head looks pretty good on this figure.
I love this Black Panther. Imo the best comic version yet. I didn't hesitate in buying him.
The main thing that bothers me about this figures, is the accessories, wish it has a unmasked head, or a spear, but it looks dope anyway
Easily, my only "must have" from all the black panther figs! I loved Chadwick and Jordan but I'm not into movie figs (that said they'll both end up in my collection eventually).
Paint the gloves and boots a dark blue and fill in the stripes and you’ve got a perfect Black Panther figure IMO
The blue is more like a light and shade effect, so technically the perfect rendering would be a photo with blue light on this figure
But the re-release Select Panthers paint on this figure would look amazing

I love it! After watching this review I bought it. Fantastic posing as usual, Shartimus. My only gripes besides windowless packaging(to check qc issues or to make sure the actual figure was in there,) was the lack of accessories, and no line details painted on his gloves and boots. An unmasked head, and a spear would have been appropriate accessories for the price point of $27. I took care of the lines with a fine tip sharpie and he looks even better.

Just got this figure to make a custom maker I hope they do future foundation and put Reed on the Vulcan buc with some dope stretchy accessories and Johnny on renew your vows

I think this could also be Jack Kirby inspired too. Regardless, this is the best Black Panther figure ML has done (sorry Walmart Exclusive). For $25 bucks it should have included an unmasked T'Challa head sculpt.
The Blue Marvel head works perfectly as a T'Chala headsculpt.
I love this figure. It’s got pinkness joints, it’s nicely articulated and I love the “classic-ish” comic look to this figure. The no paint doesn’t bother me at all, I don’t think he needs any and I appreciate the silver painted eyes which really stand out against the black. This is the only figure of the wave that interests me but it’s a heck of a figure. Not a fan of this wave’s BAF however. Looks kinda small and lame

btw the cape is nice imo with the glossy inside finish and matte outer finish
Great update to Black Panther, but would have loved an unmasked head.
i didn't like the Vulcan body in the original figure but with this one actually doesn't look bad

I just got mine. The Grey hands and feet came darker than promo shots
shoot... for that kind of price, I would have liked some extra paint or an extra head. good looking figure but it obviously could have been better.
Anyone have the vintage collection black panther is that one better do you believe? I’ve always thought about getting that one but now that this ones local maybe this one would be better in the situation I’m in
I have it, I like the blue black metallic paint and the slimmer body. Plus it comes with the necklace but this wouldn’t be a bad alternative especially if you like the cape look

Both fists are in the bag of Attuma leg, you should have checked better before throwing it away 😂

@To Think Truth I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not. But some of Legends are just amazing like 80th Iron Man, 20th Cap, Doctor Doom, Strange. I prefer legends to Mezco/Mafex and other companies. Select is very stylistic and as a traditional sculptor I love that look as well. So yes don't mind price increase, good quality figures I will buy!
How did you pop the shoulder joint from the first appearance spidey? Tried it myself and i just find it hard to grip that small piece of wet hot plastic to remove
Uhm does anyone know how to fix the wrist peice if it falls off or something cause when I was taking it off it kinda broke and I don’t know what to do
I used my Chadwick Boseman head the one with the beard, the one that came with the purple Vibranium enhanced suit. That head fits amazing to me(pause)! It fits like a glove and in my opinion it doesn’t look too big, or too small, but it looks and fits just right in my opinion. And no matter what, I will continue to use that head sculpt for my Black Panther figures! And Russ, this is by far in my opinion the best Black Panther figure to date to me. Oh, and just a couple of side notes. This costume has been drawn by many different artists over the years. This was one of(not his newest but one of) his newest costumes that he mostly wore in the mid 2000s to about the mid 2010s I believe if I’m not mistaken. And also if I’m not mistaken, I believe this was the costume he wore during the first Civil War comic and maybe even World War Hulk🤔? And in some interpretations his eyes are showing and in some his eyes aren’t, just depending on the artist. I believe it’s how they do with Ironman in the comics, sometimes his eyes are shown and sometimes they’re not. But I never understood why in any of their more modern interpretations why their eyes were shown?! Their suits are supposed to be these super advanced battle armors yet so why do they have one of their most sensitive areas(their eyes) exposed🤷🏾♂️?! Lol, but I understand where you’re coming from though with how you feel. And I would never try to knock you for your opinion, or for what you like how others often try to do.

I love it! I did draw in the gloves and boot lines in with a gundam marker. tbh I still love all my old BP's too, I think I have them all except that retro carded one. And since owning the ROML BP, hes been dulled down on the blue with black paint I dabbed on. Doope review bro
I took a fine tip sharpie to mine. It looks so much better with the black lines. I think it was lazy on Hasbro's part not to include them. They did it with the Walmart exclusive 🤷♂️

I just wish his gloves and boots were more blue/indigo rather than grayish. Nothing a quick paint job can’t fix he just looks a little bland as is. Heck I’m probably gonna repaint him to resemble the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes cartoon anyway.

I like it but I don't think this is better than the old one that bought last year, they are equally good so I'm just gonna keep the old one :)
I wish the gloves and boots on the suit were blue instead of being gray while the eyes were white instead of being silver so the eyes can pop out more, But still, This new comic Black Panther figure looks awesome and I also wish he came with an unmasked head to make the price even worth buying it, Great review Shartimus.
Yeah, this one was on my short list. That is, until McFarlane showed me his Frankenstein figure. When you're collecting on a budget in a recession, you have to prioritize. I don't know? Maybe next month. Sorry, Hasbro.

I prefer the newer design/aesthetic of Black Panther, with the ears down and cat-like nose look.
Too bad that figure has bad purple painting and cheap plastic look with the necklace.
