Can we just talk about how good a feature secret classes would be? Like beating Mogh gets you a Sanguine Noble class, beating Malenia gets you a Cleanrot Knight, getting the Legendary Spells trophy unlocks a hybrid caster class, all to use on future playthroughs. Some higher level classes to speed up the early game for you, maybe they could come with some upgrade materials, Tears etc.
Oof yeah, really good idea. I mean I love the early game but if there's a way for the game to know you have done it doooozzzzeeeenns of times and help you out with replayability that would be awesome
I'd definitely be down for that. My own suggestion was to allow you to put items or spells into a special storage that can let you build a gearset (or be available from the Husks) in future runs. That way endgame items could have use outside of NG+ and be given a chance to shine. But honestly, your idea is much cleaner.
Id love a Cleanrot Knight starter, consider how much of a pain in the ass it is to get the armor and weapons. I had spent like 10 hours grinding before getting the spear.
Since Blaidd is the only one really involved in bloodhound lore plus their pointy noses, I suspect that the BHK are actually half-wolves like blaidd. Furthermore, blaidd shares some similarities with them like being deadly loyal, animalistic and a User of an big Sword

For everyone's information any spirit ashes that have red glowing eyes are counted as enraged summons meaning they act like sentries that stay in place and attack nearby enemies rather than follow and protect you
If the game isn't going to give these guys any lore, we might at well do it. _"Floh traveled across the land, hunting her greatest foe: a gecko from a strange southern island. Sadly, no matter how much progress she made, she was always fifteen minutes behind him, and so her defeat was insured."_
"Ehrin of the realm Eizurance was a fellow combatant, attached to her knightly code. The 34th tenant of chivalry demanded she forfeit in her battle against Floh." Google "Erin Esurance rule 34 Floh" on your work computer to find out more.
There is one other factoid about Floh, though it's not actually an in-game piece of lore. All four named Bloodhound and Crucible Knights (Floh, Darriwil, Ordovis, and Siluria) are named for ancient geological ages/periods. The Floian Stage was the second part of the Ordovician Period, named for the village Flo in Västergötland (West Gothland), Sweden. Separate thought: Given that the unnamed Bloodhound Knight in the Gelmir Hero's Grave was guarding the Gelmir Knight's Armor, I wonder if that knight specifically was the master of said unnamed Bloodhound.
(Separate SEPARATE thought: It's kind of silly that there's no benefit to wearing the gear and powerstancing weapons for NPC enemies. Like, I get that in general, it'd be a nightmare to animate power stancing across weapon types, but if you're wearing the full Bloodhound drip, the sword in the right hand, and the claws on the left, it should give you SOMETHING cool, IMO.
Now that the DLC is out, more has been added to this: Crucible Knight Devonia is named after the Devonian period. Also unrelated to the DLC, I find it fitting that Crucible Knight Siluria gives you the tree armor and tree spear since the Silurian period was the debut of complex land plants iirc
You actually forgot three other bloodhound knights. There’s the one guarding Lutena, just like you said, but there’s also one by the merchant in front of Raya Lucaria, and one in a watch tower above Selia, across the church where you find Millicent
It almost seems that they are associated with sorcerers or the Carians in some way. Darriwil possibly betrayed Ranni, there are two in Liurnia one in Sellia and two in Mount Gelmir. All these are places associated with the Carian royal family, sorcerers, or both.
@@SQmaniac01Most are, except the Latenna one, which seems to be working for Gideon, the Sellia one seems to work for Radahn since it guards an Astel spell, the two on Gelmir are both with Rykard, Darrawil was with Ranni and the one in the Academy is either with Ranni or Renalla.

I understand why the snail boss in the spirit caller cave isn't killable before you take out the discount duo, but imagine how funny it would be on your first go around to just like, accidentally smoke the snail while it's invisible?
Did you know that the bloodhound knight helmet is based on a real life helmet called a houndskull bascinet. The bascinet is the base helmet and the houndskull is actually the pointy visor. So they could very well be humans who walk on all fours, are incredible trackers, and choose masters for life. Or they’re dog people. Something maybe like Blaidd.
Apparently Bloodhound step only has nerfed i-frames when used in rapid succession. Which means using bh step and then rolling, followed by another bh step removes the nerf in exchange for every other dodge being a normal roll. Just a heads up for future playthroughs!
Bloodhound Curved Sword is so stupid good. There have been so many times where I'm like "I wonder what the best weapon for this build is" and it's almost always BHCS. It deals damage equivalent to many colossal sized weapons, has innate bleed, has armor and i frames on the ash of war which deals a very good amount of damage, and it can still receive weapon buffs for some godforsaken reason.

This man is crazy, he uses the light theme, and not the dark. An absolute mad man
Loved the bloodhound Gang reference 🔥🔥
The reference to Jetset Radio Future unlocked a core memory for me. Damn I miss that game and wild arms.
I'm a huge fan of the bloodhound fang I'm using it for my first playthrough with the mimic ashes it definitely smashes. I hope they don't ever nerf it it's one of the best weapons in the game IMO
The bloodhound knight before Latenna that killed her wolf was sent by Gideon. Says the one that killed Lobo was sent by "that all hearing brute"
Future run suggestion: Fight each boss by copying a different named NPC. You're required to use exactly the same gear, Ashes, skills and spells as the NPCs and may only use each loadout for one boss.
Actually useful guide to quickbuild a bloodhound before any major bosses. Ran dual katana, strength, sorcery, and even a frenzy flame build. This build is alot of fun pve i never used this sword.
I love all the references to the bloodhound gang
The song in particular is the bad touch
"Niall has the reach, but we have the flexibility" God if Ranged weapons didn't suck I'd be so keen for a Garrus Elden Ring (I'm still kinda keen for it, your suffering do be funny)
Loving all the bloodhound gang lyrics thrown in
Oh btw you can inexplicably put Greases on this weapon.
It's so busted already. I didn't think we needed it haha
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 Miyazaki disagreed!
I just decided to do this, and it's so fun. I went and got both the Sword and claws right away, then did the calied(dont know how to spell it) run. Lastly, I ran to get to the armor by the valcano Manor invite. After that, i'm running through boss after boss. The guide helped a crap ton!
Love the Bloodhound Gang songs in this. High caliber writing in this video. Again. :D
the bloodhound tunes and the "im your biggest fan" solid gold
hearing reference to the manga was a shock to me, but i should have expected this
You're really polishing this format. Keep up the good work man! content definitely worthy of 150k+ subs
Lore wise i believe they are like the non empyrean equivalent to shadowbound beasts (Maliketh,Blaidd and maybe Vagraam)
Hell yeah, I'm so smart
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 exactly, they are lil dog knights when shadowbound beasts are wolf knights
i liked the little mac music in the background that would also be a fun character to play
Love your videos bro keep up the awesome work!
"we didn't get one shot, more like we got shot and stabbed and hit by a bus at the same time"
GOLD
the bloodhound gang references... i love them.
The bloodhound sword kicks ass and so dose the bloodhound gang band one of the best in my opinion
Reach and flexibility reference absolute top tier
Thank you kind sir for revealing this secret class
Happy to do it
Cursed Blood Pots would have solved Floh's issue with staying stationary.
