Ok but can we appreciate how genuinely happy he was to finally see the sun, to see its beauty and to feel its heat. It’s like he has been waiting for this exact moment, to finally conquer and witness the sun.
I kind of wish they had him looking at it for a few seconds. Like it makes for a fantastically striking image to have it behind him from a visual standpoint, but it kind of works better narratively to have him stare directly at his old enemy before turning his back on it.

Scenes like this are what make JoJo appreciable on so many levels In any other manga/anime this scene would have been played for laughs, with background characters commenting on the ridicolousness of the situation, yet here the reactions are completely different. A lot of absurd stuff happens to the characters but it never presents those situations as something to laugh at because the characters take it completely seriously and put their all into it. This is what makes JoJo so full of charm

Roger-Charles Manga Really dropped the standard. Back when a Vampire can sparkle in the fucking sunlight. That shit was something that needed to be feared not romanticized. The minute Kars overcame the Sunlight; everyone completely shat in their pants.
The best part about all this is that Kars' plan to become perfect with Stone Mask and Red Stone was just a theory. Meaning there was a chance it wouldn't have worked and he still went through with it. You have to remember, he and the other Pillar Men were banished from the tribe because Kars' idea was basically heresy and they wanted him dead for it. So him standing proudly like that wasn't just because all those thousands of years of planning finally went through but also because he was right.

@@valkorion46 well he could just not get his stand out and it would be useful still because it would enable him to see other stands and the stands abilities dont necessarily have to be activated in a way that forces the stand to "materialise ". part 2 though yeah he really doesnt need a stand even for some later parts but it wouldn't really come with any downsides and would be pretty useful in some specific situations.

Well, to be fair, he did possess a different body, and since it's DIO we're talking about here, I suppose he's got a way bigger ego, which led to him not using his vampiric abilities. He's smart, that's for sure, but his pride occupied his head more, especially with how The World works.

In any other manga/anime this scene would have been played for laughs, with background characters commenting on the ridicolousness of the situation, yet here the reactions are completely different. A lot of absurd stuff happens to the characters but it never presents those situations as something to laugh at because the characters take it completely seriously and put their all into it.
This is what makes JoJo so full of charm

The best part about all this is that Kars' plan to become perfect with Stone Mask and Red Stone was just a theory. Meaning there was a chance it wouldn't have worked and he still went through with it. You have to remember, he and the other Pillar Men were banished from the tribe because Kars' idea was basically heresy and they wanted him dead for it. So him standing proudly like that wasn't just because all those thousands of years of planning finally went through but also because he was right.
He wasnt banished he was jumped and still whooped they asses(i mean it wasnt a fair fight cause he was immortal and no weapon from the pillar men could kill him but still he got jumped and won)

But idfk what that last part is, the only thing differentiating Kars from literally any other pillarmen is his intelligence and maybe his brilliant bone blades but idk if he had them at the time. @@valkorion46 well he could just not get his stand out and it would be useful still because it would enable him to see other stands and the stands abilities dont necessarily have to be activated in a way that forces the stand to "materialise ". part 2 though yeah he really doesnt need a stand even for some later parts but it wouldn't really come with any downsides and would be pretty useful in some specific situations.
