Good thoughts on theory. It would be interesting and learningful to see it applied in practice.
I apply this essentially every time i play, When my coaching client do this they improve over night in tournaments.
I cant stress enough how good your channel is. Im following your videos for quite a while know (beeing a Ork Player myself) and started really having some tournament success. My learing experience was using Mozrog/Beastboss on Squig as "Bait" Units for Soaking Damage, while the Nobz/Squigs prepare for a davasting Whaag. It kinda works all(!) the time 😋. Im still too much hungry for the Crumpin instead of Scoring. Typical Orc Mindset. Im trying to get better 😜

Failed 3x5" charges with WE (angron, MoE, and brick of 6 exalted eightbounds) against Votann, I did not have a backup plan lmao. Great vid.
oooof that sucks hahaha, ive been there, it is a tough pill to swallow, think back on that game and see if there could have been anyway to do that series of charges better! Often times you will be able to find something you could have done better. That being said..... dice do be dicks sometimes

no i played a full army, i had a unit of exalted eightbound in deepstrike
@Happykrumpinwargaming007 completely forgot about that unit what do you think about jakhals I noticed you didn't play any is it better to just take 5 man berserker squads instead to hold objectives?
for me, yes! I understand them, but for me to fit the 2 6 man blobs i had to go spawn instead of jackals, that was a trade i am willing to make, other people disagree@@nathanvanhelvoort468

I played against a dbl KLOS with angron and YES absolutely, you have like a 80% chance of getting angron back every round with it, and the KLOS absolutely SLAP with full RR to hit, and towering, not to mention they get the FNP@@nathanvanhelvoort468

I'm really not enjoying 10th. I struggle with all the invulns that are around and attacker debuffs that a good deal of armies now have.
Last weekend, I played my Dark Angels in 3 1500 point games and lost all of them (vs Custodes, Admech, and Aeldari). In each of them, I had my opponent reacting to me, out scoring on most rounds regardless of draws and denied secondaries big time, and dominated primary for the majority of the game, and never losing a unit out of phase. I always had my opponent out of position and used the weapons against the 'correct' targets. Yet I could not get through the invulns or do any meaningful damage, and each game resulted in the opponent literally walking from one side of the board to the other wiping all my units off the board by the end of turn 4.
I'm quite frustrated with 10th. I'm no expert, but I know when I am outplaying my opponent. Yet tactics and skill go out the window in favour of pure luck. I have notoriously bad dice, but 9th was fine, I could work through that with tactics and stratagem use to increase my chances - I can't do that now. Pure volume is the name of the game now. This also gives me a bad vibe on GWs new direction. Balancing through points, slowly increasing army numbers pushing people to field (and buy) more models. Take the new admech sheets for example. New chicken walkers are what, 45-points? But cost $90 (aud) for a single model. I don't know what to do. Has GW truly lost its vision and intent? Has GW abandoned intent for profits? Or am I doing something wrong? Any time I try have a productive conversation about it, the ones benefiting from this (what I would call broken) edition brush it off saying nothing's wrong (at least my friends did until I played the lion, oh boy were they complaining then); or the old school players fire up and get emotional like I've insulted their very existence.
Hey buddy, take this as nothing but constructive thought here. First off, thanks for your comment and i look forward to helping you fix this. Your dice are not unlucky over all. They just are not, and there is almost no chance you are always outplaying your opponents if you are losing all your games. Now to be fair, there are some games where your opponent just rolls too many 4+++'s but it is so much rarer than anyone ever gives them credit for. The problem is 99% of the time in game decisions not dice. I will give you an example. I played a match the other day where I had a 4 inch charge into a repulse, then a 3 inch charge into aggressors, and another 3 inch charge into the same aggressor squad. I failed my 4 inch charge and spent CP on a re roll to succeed the charge. I then failed both the 3 inch charges into the aggressor squad ended up losing the game by 3 points. Did i have bad dice? yes. But I lost because i rerolled the 4 inch charge and did not choose to wait for the critical charge which was my 3 inch into the aggressors, NOT because of bad dice, I made a decision that allowed dice to screw me. NOT the other way around. Once you start realizing situations like this. THAT is when you become a much better player :)

It's a fair point that I'm not outplaying my opponent if I'm losing, but I guess it's how I'm losing. I'll use the custodes game as an example:
It was typical scoring primary, except in turn 5 all the objectives but one get wiped, and that one scores massive points. I had a 20 point lead in turn 3 and realised my opponent had focused on an objective which would be wiped in turn 4. I poured The Lion, an Executioner, a ballistus dread, heavy Intercessors, hellblasters with LT, and 2 invaders with meltas onto the big scoring objective to clear off his basic squad of custodes (can't remember what they call them). I then dropped jump Intercessors onto disappearing objective and pushed Intercessors from centre objective towards the disappearing objective. I had also managed to screen out my deployment. He took the bait, deployed his allarus onto disappearing objective and moved a non battle line group onto centre. He wiped the jump Intercessors and took objective, but didn't score because next turn it was removed. In my turn I advanced Intercessors back onto centre obj and stopped him scoring in his turn because I contest obj with OC. Meanwhile, everything else tried to clear his single 5man squad of the key objective. That's 90% of my army for turn 3 and turn 4 of shooting and charging, to take one squad. By the time I took this he was behind by 30, propped up by secondaries. Turn 4 he realises he stuffed up, removes allarus from the board and puts them near key obj, and everything else just walked towards last obj and wiped me off the board on the way. I even tried to hinder blocking advances/charges with executioner and dread, but he just shot them off the board in one turn then charged last objective. I just don't know what else I could do. I can't interact with him, I can't ignore objectives, and secondaries aren't enough to win by. And I'm struggling like that every game. I am incredibly self-critical and analyse every stuff up...but I just can't figure it out...I guess, I know I'm going wrong somewhere, but I can not identify where. At that point I blame the invulns 😅
hard for me to pick this up without seeing it. It is Possible* for a 5 man warden squad with -1 DMG and 4+++ FNP (only once per game) to survive all of that for one round. But for 2 it would be unreasonable, and once in a life time bad luck. You should join a teaching stream or a coaching match and we can see how to fix this.@@huffinLeeroy
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 yeah some custodes shenanigans thing apparently. Unit had Trajan attached, so he did something in turn 3 which gave him 2++ and allocated damage to him for that round. I only got two wounds through that turn.

So i have a question, if you roll to go first but moving your army will just put you in a bad position, what if you basically pass, and start the game on turn 2
there is almost always some where to stage, so i have certainly had 2 minute turn ones where i shift only a small amount.
