    I have real issues with my deployment when im against my guard friend. He runs a rogal dorn 3 leman russ, one of which is a tank commander a couple of scout sentinels and some infantry. I play orks and just get tabled by turn 2 in every game.

    • @Happykrumpingwargaming007
      @Happykrumpingwargaming007  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah this is a classic matchup that is super frustrating. I would say if you are running orks, you MUST be mechanized (mounted in trukks) check out the "aggressive" style deployment i demonstrated, have yourself in a position where he cant kill the contents of the trukks, and if he does its because he chooses to not touch the real threats.... moz, and the squighogs. Its also important to understand that this particular matchup tends to be very, Who went first. WHich can also be frustrating

    • @josephrigley8974
      @josephrigley8974 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Take out the scout sentinels as quick as you can, he's using them to improve his BS on his tanks without the need for orders. You need forward deployed Kommandos to stop them using their scout movement and they can't be overwatched so be aggressive with them. Ram everything with you trukks, tank shock is 1 CP and with your free wrecking ball you have 10 D6 to deal upto 6 mortal wounds.

    • @Matthew-ke1xj
      @Matthew-ke1xj 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hey man I’m a guard player who comes up against Orks a lot, I also run 4 Russ + Dorn so this is pretty close to what you’re coming up against. Your best bet is trukks for sure. If he gets first turn and scout moves too aggressively pop waaagh right away and use his units to leapfrog. If you get first turn abuse los from ruins to get close but don’t enter them so you can’t be seen. Then pop waagh turn 2 and engage from there. If he’s played too cagey you can pin him in his deployment zone, but watch out for him moveblocking with his scout units.

  • @magicalawnmower4764
    @magicalawnmower4764 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    btw those ogryn don't block the Rogal Dorn in the example. Vehicles and Monsters can move over friendly non-monster or vehicle models as long as they end their move not on top of them. Infantry can move through all friendly units as long as they don't end on top of them as well

    I have to say... I don't think this video is very helpful. You showed 1 example of each setup, which only help if you end up in similar setups. You did make me realize there is more than just aggressive and defensive positioning, so that helps. However, what I was expecting was more about what are the questions or thoughts you are having while attempting each of these setups. For example "Here I am going to setup defensively because armies like X, Y, Z are like this (shooting? idk), so for a defensive setup I am immediately looking at LOS. Here's how I determine safe spaces. Now I am checking movement of my opponents main threats, and my units movement to react. etc." You did something similar in another video where you talked about safe spots and ones that looked safe but weren't and why. Additionally, talking about step by step of which units you deploy first and last, how you react to each unit your opponent lays down etc., would also be really helpful.
    Honestly, if you were to redo this video... I don't think it would be doable in 20 minutes. :( Anyways, keep krumpin!
