Sorry about the window on the TTS screen, i suck at OBS also sorry its 46 PF attacks, brain fart.
Currently, if you play Blood Angels, you can get away with 10 Assault Intercessor accompanied by a Sanguinary Priest. For the same price and under oath of the moment, and if they are on an objective, you have a 73% chance of releasing 5 in one charge, if he doesn't cast armor of contempt.
OUR NEXT GAME SHALL BE DIFFERENT JASON. Thank you for the lesson Master Krump. I appreciate the insights.
Thanks big man! Awesome video helping others to beat my DWK list haha! Please do a how to beat video on the chaos cult : triple AC/DC list that destroyed everyone at Nova.🤘🏼
Thank you for making this vid. I've had the hardest time dealing with DWK lists with various armies. A buddy of mine runs them, but with a tweaked list that includes the Lion, a Dark Shroud, and 2x Gladiator Reapers, and his win rate has inflated his head. I'm definitely sharing this vid within my community. Again, thanks :)
cheers home slice
Multi phase mortals is another. They have the 4+++ but if you threaten them with grenades + dev wound guns them follow up with charge mortals, tank shock or dev wound melee they'll have to eat it from one of those phases.
this is the only way i've figured out how to deal with them too. Bleed out the Watcher with some mortals in shooting, then tank shock after and the DWK gotta take it.
You can wipe one with a single unit if you use 10 Sternguard + Sanguinary Priest + Lieutenant, 94 attacks with lethal hits by shooting and charging in liberator assault group/Sons of sang..and they dont suffer their -1 to damage ability except on the 2 powerfists on the lieutenant and sargeant. I swear sternguard are so overlooked. Deliver them in a Land Raider with God Hammers for some anti tank support. No one at the event will understand why you have Sternguard in a land raider until you delete Angron with close combat weapons.
and you take the sang priest to give ap1 to their CC weapons?
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 yeah, and they get a bonus 5+ FNP when they are getting shot at standing in the open after they have killed something important. Personally I like the idea of giving them speed of a primarch so after they delete something big, they can't be counter charged so if it is against a melee army like world eaters they either shoot your stern guard or they charge into a fights first unit for 1cp you can give them +1 strength +1 attacks.
They won't charge your Sternguard after killing Angron unless they want that unit to die too.
And the 24" range on the bolters means if they survived they can do some pinging shots with dev wounds while they reposition some where if they have no charge target
I do something similar, swap the sang priest with kantor and the lt with fire discipline, 32 bolter shots +8 heavy with lethal, sustained and dev, it absolutely deletes anything
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 also forgot to mention the Sternguard unit doesn't scale well past one of them because you want them to hunt the most important Oath target, which is also good because you can diversify a bit.
Sternguard hunts Oath target, DC with jump have hit rerolls already so they hunt something anywhere else and then your normal assault intercessors with a finest hour murder captain pounces on something on an objective for their wound re rolls.
Can a lieutenant and Sang priest join the same squad?
Looks like a fun list, might try out next week against our DA player with wolfie termis as proxies 😅
As a DA player, DG play very well into them.
Morty aura ignores the -1D, Rhino PM Bomb is both Fights First, Overwatch & OC bomb & then the -1T & -1SV aura removes AoC on the DWK.
It definitely can be managed, but its very good into DA.
Overall I do like the list, though I don't find it extremely fun to watch your opponent just bounce off of 4++ -1DMG all gae.
I’ll give this a try at the LGT if it comes up
I need one of these breakdowns on how to beat thunderwolf spam please (I play space marines and orks)
My buddy at my locals mains Azrael + LT w/ Fire Discipline in a unit of Hellblasters (yes Azrael gives the Sustains already but it's more so for Critical Hits on 5+ in Dev Doctrine, which he uses the strat to keep them in Dev Doc for the duration of the game when needed). He also uses 2 Ballistus, and a Redemptor Dreadnought in his list. Killing the 10 Hellblasters is a PITA.
yeah the hellblasters is a swing and a miss! but its fun
Would love to see how to beat acdc cult spam list
I play DA GTF, but I ditch the ICC for two Lancers to keep people from walking out in the open with impunity. Also, cuz my local TOs love to use GW's call of duty-friendly shooting layouts.
Thanks for telling folks how to deal with my archetype though, it keeps me informed on the counter-play. That being said, I'm very much prepared for DWK and Erads to get nerfed into the ground - might end up pivoting to Ironstorm or IK soon.
i hope they dont. its not the units that are an issue. its the units in that detachment.
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 We're stuck in a no-win situation when it comes to game design by GW. Nobody wants to return to 5e/6e when codex/non-codex marines had different points costs for random arbitrary reasons. The non-codex chapter often was worse since they couldn't use stuff at random like no centurions, no sternguard, no (insert interesting option here). It was also common for the same non-codex to have the same datasheet and still cost more, cuz validating cells across Excel tabs was too hard I guess.
Very few marine players who have been in this hobby for long enough trust GW to make sane and well-reasoned game design decisions if they want to do anything cute and complex like what you propose on segregating marine chapters and their detachment rules.
The current structure is probably in the best state it has ever been in more than a decade. Codex characters probably need to be given insane army-wide buffs to make them worth taking again in order to make that army viable.
Just play them like you would against Custodes. If you wanna kill a unit, put your entire army into it..
I wonder how hard GW will hit DA Gladius in the coming slate
Solid video as always
cheers my guy. I am of the mind set, GW needs to ban divergent codex's from using Codex Space marine detachments. This of course would need to come hand in hand with a better DA codex of course
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 Yeah, I'm fine with not being able to use the base SM codex detachments, but there's a lot lacking in the DA detachments that would need to be fixed first to keep them competitive.
100% I would say that inner circle is alot better than most people give it credit for though! A small boost would have it quite solid
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007
Inner Circle detachment, just make all the strats usable with all Deathwing Keyword Units (And Give Both Deathwing and Ravenwing Keywords to Lion).
I beat this list with my assimilation swarm! Can't out oc me!
Remember despite this list being viable, dark angels codex is still the worst codex in 10th.
it is not! the custodes dex is still the worst, but agreed the DA dex needs help
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 fair enough, they don't have the other detatchments to fall back on. Marines are slowly getting there though... Iron storm, storm lance with no captain on bike technically. Give space marines some time and they won't have any left lol. There's jokes about another space marine codex already lol
You have read the OG admech Codex yes? As someone who plays DA it is not the worst codex.
send in the wulfen
As a WE Main I have played this list a Team Tournament (got matched terribly) and a singles Even (running mostly 8Bound). This feels very uphill against high skilled oponents. Even if Agron can kill a squad. I never managed to get past a 13:7 oder 15:5. Its a brick wall
yeah WE are screwed
-1D on 3 units in every turn is not a fun thing to play against as a custodes player. Other marine stuff is powerful, useful, eradivators with apothecary hurt, but the -1D make the match ups unfun. Only nercon are worse, because those you just can't kill even with above avarge rolls.
As a Dark Angels enjoyer i urge u to take this video offline, the secret of DWK Gladius is just that ppl don't know how to deal with them lmao also, pretty nice overview on some of our downsides, will dftly take that in my next games
haha, cheers my guy
With new BA refresh now you need to bring at least 12 Sanguinary Guard to face DW Knights 😅😅😅
they will do absolutely nothing into DWK haha
Which of the three approaches would you recommend when playing as TSons? At first glance they are tto expensive and squishy to play the survival-game. They are too slow to evade and I feel like it would eat my entire Cabal points for a round as well as some other ressources to actually deal with one squad of DWK, let alone three so killing them also seems off the table.
Edit: Yes, I know, probably a skill issue as TSons are one of the top-performing armies right now, but I really cant see a way around this list.
i will not help a dirty space wizard player! Just kidding, hop in the discord for conversation like that :P
Also for my fellow Tsons players - doombolt get around watchers as start of phase rules happen before ALL other rules so if you can Chuck a couple of doom bolts at a squad of Dwk you can kill half the squad on average whilst remaining fairly uninteractive
truth
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 trying to explain this interaction to the DA players who have jumped on the bandwagon is sometimes challenging - but hey, that’s Tsons rules in general
I paly against DA a bit. just started orks. how would I combat hom with orks. I get ignore and survive and avoid his deathwing but is there a good list to help?
Orks would be fighting a serious uphill battle. Best bet is to try and trade OC. 40 points of grots can deny 235 pts of DWK a primary.
I run dreadmob and out range them with mek gunz and mek sag. Screening with grots.
how do the DWK get the FNP again?
watcher in the Dark! it only applies to mortals!
DA shouldnt be able to use SM codex !! Screw them
i agree, but i would say GW also needs to buff the DA codex as well!
But i like gladius templars :(
Restricting divergent chapters put of the main dex does nothing for codex compliant chapters. Though, dwk are undercosted for what they do. I expect the most used units to get points increases alongside fire discipline.
My deathwing list is considerably different
What do you run?
