One of the most terrifying videos to watch as a world eaters player but very informative! Any tips for melee armies on what to do against this kind of play?
I am also a world eaters player... would love some tactics for them! These videos are invaluable for newer players, watching on TTS makes things so much easier to digest.
Great point on blocking deep strikers from objectives. I gave away 8 “capture enemy outpost” points in a game yesterday because I did not take that into account. Lesson learned (hopefully)
Nice vid. With practice, it's cool to go even further than this and absolutely maximise each screening units potential in various matchups, such as here where you move blocked the sagitaurs, only one scout needs to stand in that gap between terrain and you'd be able to chain the unit over to the right edge of the board to block the other sagitaur as welll. I've found it particularly important when attempting to block angron, with his fly and up to 22" move, he can still be move blocked, but it takes a lot of effort. Utilising the surrounding terrain and premeasuring from the back of his base - then agreeing with your opponent that he will be blocked - by chaining models between gaps in terrain pieces and making sure there is no good spot for his base to fit.
Thanks for the video! Just a quick comment for your in person camera, a cheap drop/background cloth will help your camera a lot. It's got auto white balance/ auto focus on and trying to balance off your back wall (and then your kitchen has contrast). Some PVC pipes and a a large piece of fabric stretched tightly should do you wonders! Lots of prosumer solutions also Keep up the good work.
Helpful video thanks. Quick question about 14:00 Can you totally screen a Rhino disembark with just ten guys like that, it kinda looks like they could fit their models around the outside using the emergency disembarkation?
Bro I know you’re a pro but I’m not buying your computer generated example.. when I work it out.. you can absolutely disembark them and get them 1” past your space marines with a 1/2 inch or so to spare before they hit the 6” cap… so what am I missing.
one problem with surrounding a transport with 10 guys in a circle is that if ONE of your guys dies, 4 others die because you can't keep unit cohesion because two guys will be hanging and not be 2" from two allies. This kills one, then another, then another until you have five left since five only require one freindly for cohesion.
Great video. But I don’t understand how you move block the bikers with the infiltrators if you go second. They can’t scout so they stay 9” away. But you can’t scout towards them because you also need to stay 9” away. Then they go first and the bikers won’t be there anymore. In fact by the time it’s your turn either bikers won’t be on the table or your infiltrators
Move blocking is about limiting where your opponent can go, since bikers cannot move through wall, you can 100% deny them movement by having your infiltrators in position!
You cannot end within engagement range of a model, so they physically do not have space to disembark within 6 inches of the rhino and not within engagement of the death company, thats why i drew the auras to give you the physical view!
@@Happykrumpingwargaming007 Oh, so their bases are larger than the area where they can emergency disembark behind the Death Company right? I see, Thanks! Awesome video btw :)
Great vid as always! But in your example of Move blocking a disembark, isn't the deathwatch squad out of coherency around the WE rhino? Unless you are showing 2 squads of 5-man and not a 10-man...
Any tips on how to most effectively screen deepstrike move shoot move units from stealing points? E.g. swooping hawks, gargoyles, chronomancer warriors
You just need to screen the move, so for example, instead of screening 9 inches, you need to screen based off where they move. So if you want to make sure they cannot move onto your objective make sure that you screen 9.1 inches from the objective assuming a move of 6
Great video - I was wondering though: doesn't the booklet for leviathan say "alternate pre-game abilities" with the player starting first? For me that would mean I do a scout move, then he does a scout move, then I do a scout move?
It does, there is an argument over whether that means, i do all my redeploy, and then you do all your redeploy (alternating) scout, and then you do all your scout, or if it means i redeploy one unit, then you, then me, then you. WTC rules i do all my (category ability) then you do yours
Its basically all about priority. Knights have massive movement profiles, so you can afford to spread out a little more and still be able to get to where you need to go next turn! Also allies help tremendously. acolytes for imperial, and nurglings for the chaos flavor
I play Sororitas and GSC, two rather frail armies. This material is all well and good, but the units you moveblock with are doomed. I'm not sure how to take advantage of this without putting myself at a severed material disadvantage when they die.
If anyone ever has a hard time getting this down, just tell them to play 20 games against GSC or GK. If they don't learn to screen at least decently then, they'll never learn. A kind of related tip in regards to units that infiltrate. If both you and your opponent have units that infiltrate, deploying first can be a significant benefit. You can secure a big portion, or even all, of no mans land if you stretch out an infiltrating unit.
I mean this is a tactical strategy game? I am not sure what you mean by cheap tactics. If you watch any of my videos on how to communicate with opponents I always advocate for 100% clear communication, there is no such thing as a gotcha when you play with me. But if you are saying i should not use tactics in the tactical game, that sounds silly.
Man.. what am I missing here.. how is it you are making the claim that using a primaries space marine on a 32mm base.. which is approx 1.25 inches can keep the disembarking unit from being able to fit outside engagement between the 4 and 1/2 inch and 6 inch mark?
Cause I’m doing the math and unless the bases of your models are bigger considerably or you are really pulling some whammy jammy bullshit on the TO I don’t buy this at all.
DId you consider that a 1.25 inch base has an engagement diameter of 3.25 inches, you cant end disembark within engagement range, and you also can't stand inside a wall. If you have a base that is 1.25 inches, stand 1.24 inches away from the transport, then using emergency disembark they have to be on the other side of the model 4.49 inches away, if you stagger your positioning like i did in the example, it quickly becomes impossible when you factor in walls. lol best case you get one model that gets to disembark which has essentially the same effect

Tons of them! Tune into the discord or our teaching streams for that! Perhaps ill make a dedicated video for that as well

As a WE player I loved videos like this use your Jakhals are screen clearing.
I would also be interested in that :)@@Happykrumpingwargaming007

Infiltrator is such a powerful ability if used properly. Love the video! Thank you!

Thank you for getting me to think about this game in a new way.
my pleasure! glad this was useful to you

it depends on the base size, with 32 mm yes, if you are on 24 no!

The Yncarne doesn't have Deep Strike and it's teleport doesn't have a outside 9" restriction. It still can't be with 1" however.

no they are all in 2 of 2, the purple circles are 1 inch, around the building it gets messed up because it shows diagonally

ork kommandos in a gorkanort with scout? lol
i dont think there is any way to give a gorkanaught scout haha
Move blocking? Is this something I'm too xenos to understand. Nearly every unit I have fly.
must be
Only problem is pioneers can fly
Sure but they have to clear the unit, and they still dont get the scout move :P
O:
Legendarily fast response! First minute, you rock!
This is how I lose to CSM with Votann. The stupid ass nurglings have 3 wounds each and block all the scout move in the whole army.
Its the only way to handle the ludicrously undercosted saggitaur and pioneers hahaha
Nurglings are 4 wounds each! Theyre even worse than that lol. Im suspecting theyre gonna catch a point increase.
Man all your videos are hating on world eaters 😡😡
no way haha i love world eaters, but people need to know how to handle movement
Congratulations, I like 40k less now.
lol i recommend something else then
