For anyone feeling like this is groundhog day: yes this video was already uploaded last week and yes it was DMCA'd. Fucking comical for this show to get struck for copyright, if a film review doesn't meet the bar for what's considered transformative then idk what does
14:52 just the chair with all that brownish colour and crumbeling facade kinda reminded me of the otherworld in Silent Hill, so I was intrigued right away. Sick Movie btw, looking forward to the rest.
for the people who are hungry their Cure review, I went looking for content on the movie after watching it this week. 1. this is a interview of Kurasawa done by one of his film students i think. Some really good questions and interesting info about how the movie came to be: th-cam.com/video/9jHqlKi_WyI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=b-QapSD0WwSmxHW1 2. this is a overview of the movie I thought brought a lot of context around the era of J-horror the movie was made in th-cam.com/video/CnGe_yvwP8s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=f6CELZB8kT8eIPv8
We got a thorin psy-op rant, but no richard gay interpretation of the movie. What gives! And where's roger ebert the most important part of the podcast? Just joking though. Good episode, decent movie.
guys I think you reuploaded movie from previous week, I'm relentlesly waiting to be explained how is it that you love Cure, while I was shocked how bad it is, at least compared to Session 9.
They got copyright claimed, so this is re-edited and re-uploaded. As far as Cure goes, I thought it was fantastic. Can't wait for the review of course!
@@skillezkillez it just missed me, i saw the episode, i acknowledge most of the things guys say about it, but it felt flat, weird, cold, main problem is i didn't really care about finding out what the f is going on with those people and main protagonist and antagonist, because it's impossible to determine that from what the movie shows (at least the part that suggests the goal of the mesmer is to pass his blessing/curse/skill onto detective for some reason, gimme a break)
This is a reupload of a previous video that got taken down. Our Scary Deep Cuts arc will continue as scheduled!
🫡
Can you share any info about why it got taken down? Like what about the content triggered a DMCA take down?
@@ClutchPwnageTvwhen i saw the dmca notice it said it was from nbc, so if i had to guess maybe it was a cheeky David Caruso CSI miami clip?
40:36 That is a mad story. Richard losing it more and more as Thorin drives the point home is absolutely precious.

It's absolutely outrageous and shameless. TH-cam should and could do better.
TH-cam will never do better they don't care enough to improve
The rant starting at 1:07:08 - just classic Thorin, love it.
So glad this got recommended out of nowhere, great chat about a fantastic movie, looking forward to checking out more of the Four Play catalogue.
Their previous series of videos on old Noir movies is quite good

Seeing the upload got me excited and then I realised it was an a re-upload. Bummer the first got taken down.
Deja vu?
damn!
just watched Cure, I imagined it got taken down too?
much love
Best way to start a Saturday morning. Cheers.

Bruh that's not just one of his film students it's Ryusuke Hamaguchi who has made some excellent movies in Drive my Car and Happy Hour!
i completely forgot about this movie even existing
most of this film crawls at a snails pace and then the end happens at the speed of a fighter jet, i think the 3rd act needed just a bit more time
Cure, where are you 😭😭😭😭
they almost always upload on sunday
Winamp really does whip the llama's ass
It’s almost meta that this one got reuploaded because of the psychological horror nature of the movie lol.
1:08:00 That's actually not true, that story is exagerated greatly, she just pushed a car a lil bit, then men came in and liften the car.
Ok, round 2.
Agreed about Longleds, mid as fuck. Personally think that if they never showed Longlegs' face it would've elevated the movie
Uhh might've uploaded the wrong video, Session 9 was last weak, no?
original might've been copyright claimed, so they've edited it and reuploaded
It been deleted, prob copyright issue?
Can confirm, it was DMCA'd
@@arvidkellstrom2001 I can still see the video in my playlist. So maybe just unlisted?

Where is the Cure?
I’m sure I’ve seen this one before, if not I apologise.
We already got this episode mate
it's a re-upload
The original got copyright struck

Damn, I thought the cure was like almost a 9/10 movie
