    Nice! One thing that helped me was figuring out how to de-pin the master ECU connector (seems it can be different even in the same EDC family) moving an unused signal like air conditioning over to where the clutch pin is (granted you have a tune to switch from auto to manual EDC 16 in the case of BHW to utilize the clutch for cruise control).

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The ECU will need the security immobilizer disabled before this type of harness will work, while that's being done a performance tune with delete is easy to add on, that's all usually done mailing it to a tuner.

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well I am usually making these looms using the TDIs wiring like the original BKDs loom. And I'm also always making them standalone like to run without hooking to a factory ve cluster, just universal gauges

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @leonwilliams2412 ya that would just take seeing what that cluster wants for inputs, but the vw coolant sensor is a weird resistance that can be hard to match, as well as it not even looking at oil pressure so a lot of it is best using your own sensors anyways

    I'm looking to swap a tdi into my old Datsun pickup. I've been leaning toward an ALH but the bike insee the more the BEW seems like a great option as well. If you had your pick, what would take?

    • @TDISwaps
      @TDISwaps  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a tough call, bew is stronger but has more maintenance, ALH is more dependable, but weaker bottom end, I definitely don't like that fuel leaks on the PDs go right into the oil without you knowing. I usually just base it off price and availability at the end of the day
