Tudor black bay 41mm 2024 One of the most beautiful watches that money can buy My favorite watches Rolex Submariner 124060 Tudor black bay 41mm 2024 The shield protects the crown Absolutely Spectacular Cheers Brad Thank you so much for sharing Kind regards
Was actually cross-shopping the BB41 against the Pelagos 39. Would love to see those compared! Based on measurements I've seen, in reality they are within 0.5mm of each other in bezel size, and about 1mm in case size.
The P39’s case is 39mm with a 40mm bezel that overhangs the case. The BB41 is 41mm at the case and bezel. Hence cases have 2mm difference; bezels 1mm difference.
I own both watches, the BB41 monochrome on the jubilee, and the Pelagos 39. They wear very similarly size-wise, but the titanium P39 is much lighter-right about 105 grams, as opposed to about 150 grams for the BB41. I’m selling the P39, it’s a nice watch but I never really fell in love with it. The lume on the hands is weaker than the rest of the markers, and that annoys me. It runs +5-6 seconds fast per day, as opposed to ~+1 second per day so far for the BB41. Also, the BB41 is more versatile, especially on the jubilee. It really dresses up or down. So, in my opinion after owning the Pelagos 39 for 6 months, it’s a better dedicated diver/ tool watch, the BB41 Monochrome is a better all rounder. You really can’t go wrong with either, go with what calls to you!
@@5ivebanger Thanks for the great reply. Things I find appealing about the P39: ceramic bezel, oyster style links without fake rivets or the stair step taper, light weight, and the square hour markers (matches the snowflake hand better, in my opinion). But the super-long clasp bothers me. I don't dive, and don't need a dive extension. I'm also would prefer it bump up 1-2mm in size. I do wish the BB41 jubilee had brushed links and a fully brushed clasp to tone-down the bling a bit. And I wish the bezel was a matte ceramic like the P42. But other than those minor subjective points, it looks pretty compelling.
Some people do complain about the length of the clasp, but it never once bothered me. The bracelet and the case of the P39 can be rather sharp, and although it is lightweight, it wasn’t the most comfortable watch, for me. I agree about the jubilee on the BB41, I also wish it were all brushed. Uncle Straps will likely start giving an all brushed option for a jubilee, but right now they don’t have one in 21mm lug width. For what it’s worth, the OEM jubilee is only blingy on certain lighting, it’s pretty subdued due to its monochrome design, however.
The Black Bay for me: it has a better movement and 200m water resistance is adequate for most people. I would choose a smaller case in either range though: BB58 or Pelagos 39.
Monochrome by a mile. So many horror stories with the Pelagos and its lumed elements on the bezel that turn yellow and fall off the watch. Additionally, Titanium watches are not for everyone. Their lightness gives the impression that they are cheap.
That’s no longer the case. Tudor has improved the insert, preventing the lume falling out anymore. They adopted the improvement relatively recently. So if you have an older one, Tudor will put a replacement bezel on if the lume falls out.
And the titanium on the Pelagos is a super scratch magnet. The new BB monochrome is what i have been waiting for. Not too large not too small like BB54. Jus waiting for the hype to die down a tad before taking the plunge.
The dial design of the 42 just crushes it ... that is the best dial design out there for a diver
42mm for me because of date function and ceramic bezel. I do like the cleaner dial and metas movement of the 41 though
Pelagos, its essential tudor. The riveted bracelet on the black bay is very confused, it should also have a ceramic bezel to fit the modern style
I'm in love with the Black Bay this dial looks so clean but I really need a date complication
Pelagos LHD all the way. Have one and wearing it everyday. So comfortable.
Two very nice watches but completely different from each other. For me it's the Pelagos all the way.
Great video and good to see them side by side, thanks 👍🏻
You bet, thanks for viewing!
I have both with the BB41 red bezel with no mirco on the fly. 😢
I do like the new BB 41, but the Pelagos does the plain dive look better, I think, except for the excessive text!
Pelagos by a light year or two. Perhaps the best genuine tool watch for a working man.
Great comparison - thank you
Thanks for watching!

The sub is literally leagues ahead of the Tudor on build quality. The BB is simply just a homage.
Pelagos … LHD or Blue for me. 👍🏻
42 mm Pelagos.
Pelagos 2 liner for me.

Pelagos 39 over both. If I were forced to pick, BB41 (preferably burgundy on 5-link).

P39 is lovely 😊 have one and don’t foresee myself letting it go
BB41 all day, everyday.
Can’t be doing with shaky hands
Keep still
Pelagos!
Pelagos
Black Bay 41 Mono on jubilee blows both away.
Imagine if they made a 40/41mm pelagos gmt with all the original design language
100%
The new BB41 wins by a long way. No contest. This new BB41 is definitely ready to topple the non dated Submariner.
BB 41 for sure
BB every day of the week 👍
