Boris Beckers heavy forehand and return of serve were also very significant factors in his game. Becker occasionally deviated from his serve-and-volley style to try to out-hit, from the baseline, opponents who normally were at their best while remaining near the baseline.

I’ve watched all his matches (those broadcast on German television at the time) as a boy. The thing with Becker was that he could always win against anyone but also always lose against anyone. You never knew, and his tennis was always about life and death. Great drama and great art. Thank you, Mr. Becker, for some of the best memories of youth I’ve had.

You mix up the German word for a fish species (German "Hecht" - English "pike") with that for a "dive" (German verb "hechten", with the rare noun "Hecht"), which is what Becker does in many of those video clips. So "Becker-Hecht" translates as "Becker dive."

Tun ihm zu Vieles um genug
    Zu dimmen, sein Liebesgemueth!

Der eignen Mutter wird zur Reue
    Die ganzen Jahre ohne Kind

Und gibt ihr neue, ganz geschwind
    Aus ihrem Geiste springen raus
    Die Opernkinder

Darauf folgt gleich Evgeny Van Gogh
Die Kinder schenkt ihr lieber Gott
Weil sie ausm Hause stammet Verdi
    Und Mozart, Beethoven!
    Grigorian
    Ist Boris Beckers neue Tochter
Und Maxi hängt in seinem Arm
    Denn dieser Worldwide Tennisgod
Spielt mit dem Herzen der Nation
Und Maxi ist in seinem Arm
    Ganz Becker und nicht Grigorian
    Und neuer Name seiner Mama
    Lautet Anna Ermolaeva
Sie spricht mit Maxi gerne Russisch
    Und leise singt danach Katjush
Denn was entfällt dem weiblichen Schoss
    Wird aufgesammelt von dem Gott
Und legt er einst sein’Haende ans
    Max Herz und Kopf
    Wird Goldner Hans
    Aus meinem Sohn
    Und Goldnes Haus
Wird neues Haus von meinem Max
Sodass die langen Jahre von Elend
Hier finden rasch ein Happy End
    Und Maxi Angelo beendet
    Hiermit Gericht in Boris’
    Hands of God!

This is the tennis matches I know from the legends era.
Faster tennis balls that were hit harder and rallies that weren’t boring.
Players now are fantastic but it’s too slow.Only my opinion 👌
