Fun fact: the Statue of Liberty was never originally green. It rusted to the green colour we now know today.

he's telling the truth, the statue of liberty was originally a bronze color, it then rusted to that nice looking copper green color we see as of now

Koolgame22 I thought it's been quite obvious for a long time, but well, you're right. To some point - this is NOT rusting. Rusting is getting oxidized - copper doesn't oxidize to give a green color - CuO is black, Cu2O - 'carrot' orange. Greenish look is caused by acid rains and comes from a mixture of copper hydroxide, carbonate and phosphates, thus not from its oxides - CuO or Cu2O.
