Is there any doubt that Genocide is being committed? How can the US say that they don’t think there is sufficient evidence for it ? It is so painful to hear this powerful evidence given by the legal team from South Africa. As an ex-south African living in the UK I feel immensely proud of their pivotal role in bringing this to the world stage with such clarity.
IMO, so take this how you see fit (Rather long response sorry in advance). You have a couple of different aspects when it comes to the current situation in Gaza. Firstly, western Media and the control of the narrative (Also why they want to ban TikTok, but I digress). If you look at some media outlets, the Pro-Palestinian demonstrations are labeled “Pro-Hamas”. To the older generation that watches said outlets and do not use the internet sees that and believes it, this is only one example. Secondly, U.S Politicians in 2024 have received just under $11.5 million dollars in “Donations” from Pro Israel PAC’s (Source Open Secrets website). With that if the Politicians don’t vote or rule in the way those PAC’s want, they lose funding (from said PAC’s) and potentially their seat in congress. Lastly, the ICJ was created by the UN, and the UN was created by a host of Nations but leading the effort was the United States in 1945. Giving them power to push for what they want and create a double standard to a better extent. Example, ICJ issued a statement about arrest warrants for Israeli Officials. Shortly after that news broke, a handful of top U.S officials sent a harsh letter to the ICJ condemning said warrants.

It's so unreal yet so explicitly real that a people who suffered inhuman horror in their past can visit the same to other humans in such anger after colonisation,apartheid and subjugation them for over 75 yrs yet claim victim all the time. I was born in 1945 about six weeks before V.E. ( lf you are unaware of what V.E. is, Google it.) The South African would probably be diagnosed as having a "mental disorder" back in that era. The era that in America is reffered to as "The greatest generation.". It apears that South Africa must be full of ignorance and lacking common sense.
