To my understanding, ICC prosecutors did not equate crimes of Hamas to those of Israel. They sought arrest warrents for both, and each case needs to be investigated individually.

It'sa court that only has jurisdiction over people from the countries that are party to the treaty establishing the court. Israel didn't. The court doesn't have jurisdiction; Israeli courts do.
Threatening the ICC or its prosecutor or the ICJ is a crime in itself and several responsible US politicians are guilty of it. Just read the news reports of what they have said about those entities and the prosecutor. They should be allowed to reach a decision without interference. Some of the best legal minds in the world sit on that bench.

So yeah it's like you can't solve anything with Israël, it's quite clear they actually want to drive the Palestinians out, that's why I believe there will never be a two state solution as long as the VS keeps backing Israël in every crime they commit. Because if Palestine becomes sovereign, they can't steal land anymore.

As a staunch supporter of Israel, what Karim Khan is saying holds solid. I think it is particularly poignant where he draws the metaphor of air brushing the nationality out and focusing only on the evidence. I think this is evident by his team issuing the warrants for both sides of this conflict and aiming them at key figures. It will be very interesting to see how this plays out given Israel's lack of membership to the ICC and the ICC's lack of enforcement. But no doubt a historical moment for international law and justice.

You cannot "airbrush" out the nationality since you first have to decide if the court has jurisdiction over a particular country. There's a serious legal argument that they don't have jurisdiction i Israel since they have not ratified the Rome Statute, and since palestine is not a state. Even if the Court says they are a state for the purposes of adhering to the Court, it doesn't make it so in reality. To be a state under international Law you must have defined borders, a government, defence forces, direct acess to your terroritory.... none of which apply to the Palestinian territories today.
