Right on for that spray paint tip!...works great..I was just you tubing the best way to install grips and yours was the most helpful!..thanks...ride free..ride safe!
Cheap hair spray works best for grip adhesive. Rave is the best brand and it's often available at dollar stores cheap. Just spray a little inside the grip and quickly install. It acts as a lubricant at first and then after letting it dry for a day it becomes a strong adhesive. And it cleans off easily with alcohol or acetone afterwards the next time you replace your grips.
3 years later and I just found this. Installing my grips tomorrow! I love being able to use items that most of us have lying around.
That paint trick is gold! Thanks!
You’re welcome.
Wonderful! Spray paint worked perfectly for my Pro Taper Grips

I've done the same using hair spray as a kid. I'm getting ready to do this to my old big red 3 wheeler.
+80srockerable hairspray or clearcoat paint still works great after all these years.

Is it just normal spray paint ? So i can use whatevers in the garage?
Yes. I like to use clear coat so I don't have to worry about it dripping colors on anything, but any color will work.
I'm changing grips on my new crf150 but will spray paint (what I will use) make the throttle get stuck?
No not at all
Yup.
Ok thanks
You're welcome.
Pro tip: hairspray works like magic. Slides right on then when it dries shit won't come off.
jack molthen True. That works great as well.
@ 1:38 that’s called “knurl” not bumps 😂
Use an air hose to remove and replace grips
Can I please have your FXR!
Nope. I am keeping it.
My grips are plastic
🤣🤣🤣 just use a razor blade to make a straight cut why fight?
dont use spraypaint. use hairspray
That works too, but isn't quite as sticky. I'd use hairspray on a bicycle and paint on a motorcycle.
whatb a load of waffle. Video could be a 1/3rd of that length but for the bs
