Nice video, grips look great. A tip if you want to remove the grips without cutting them: Blow some compressed air into the grip and pull, they will come right off.
I’ll keep that in mind the next time I’ve got a compressor haha. Front porch wrenching makes things a bit difficult, especially when all of my tools are on another continent.
@@BurtoniMotors A quick spray of WD40 does the same. Push a flat screwdriver blade between the grip and bar, push the WD40 straw part way in, one quick spray, turn the grip and it (usually) comes off easily.

Can’t believe I’m just now seeing about them..I can do some good work on a bike but have never changed grips..I have a 1” bar on a Bobbied Shadow..have any idea if I can use these? That gold would go good with my theme I just put on a gold RK chain

Btw, how did you do it on the trothle side with the big screw. I screw mine in but i blocks the trothle. :(
It was a lot of playing with it until it worked honestly. I tried a few ways of putting it all together until the last time when I cracked the code.
There is no 'code'. You simply have no idea what you are doing. I'm not sure what is worse, your lack of knowledge or the sorry fools taking your advice.

All good except: Cutting original grips. You could simply used alcohol / soapy solution to remove the grips; and clean that dirty handle bar on the throttle grip.
I was never going to put them back on the bike... or any bike so did not think it was bad.

Yep yep, motorcycle bars are almost completely universal. I would check your owner's manual to see what size your bars are fist, then go from there.
Do u need to put a dab of grease on the bar before putting the throttle?

How do you take the metal gold one after u want to replace it? You can't use a knife to cut it like the rubber one...

why should the original part be damaged, when it can be saved and reused .🤔
most people replace the handgrips to not use the oem ones. Kinda pointless to replace them if you were going to put the old ones back on 🤔
Stupidly enough i was thinking can you use a bmx grip?
If you can find ones that fit your bars. The issue is finding one for the throttle tube.

If you aren’t going to keep them, the easiest way to remove them is with a knife.

I was still in Germany when I installed these grips. I don't believe they are available in the USA
@@BurtoniMotors I've seen videos of Yamaha heated grips in Europe & when i tried to buy them from Yamaha here in Ohio at first he said, i can't find that part #.......then a few hrs later he texted back, i found the part but it needs a connecting cable & we can't get that & have no idea when we can get it....seems strange it's available in Europe but not in America,,,,
so if i want to remove my wheel I will need a sledge hammer and pound them out break them off of the rear housing? I mean why break something or make it non functional just to take something off lol.
If you know how to do this perfectly, why watch a video on it?

@@BurtoniMotors what's the value on anything you don't have any intention of using again, ok let's just destroy everything and cause more waste in perfectly good working things, I rather give it away anything.... keep as backup anything. Besides if you look for easy way to get them off on TH-cam there's tons of ways that's even faster than cutting them off .... cutting them takes even longer

Softer and thicker rubber. Less vibration. More substance to hold on to.
That is not a throttle body. A throttle body is a type of carburetor.

Hair spray is the quickest and easiest way to go plus inexpensive

You cut the old grips off and there was no adhesive at all yet they never failed. . Now for some reason you put adhesive on but those new grips have metal in them. You're never cutting them off again, bEuAuSe yUtUbe TurOriAls.

@@BurtoniMotors some of us have perfectly good grips that don't need changing and just need to remove them for other purposes, then put them back (to repaint the handlebar in my case).
