That's better packaging than 90% of all the orders I ever received, and not from Wish, never ordered anything from there for some reason.

I made one using a raspberry pi (with hdmi), has around 10,000 games on it.
That is an awesome project. An when taking the price of the RCA to HDMI converter into account the Raspberry pi is a cheaper option. :P

@@Azmedon-AU i use a MrHarias build. luckily it works perfectly with an old ds3 controller so that part didn't factor into the cost for me. i really want to test out the build on a pi 4 4gb version to see how that runs.

Dawid Does Tech Stuff There are still many TVs with composite inputs
Nice video! By the way that tv does have video input (even appears in the input list) but it requires a dongle (RCA females to 3.5mm). And that adapter to hdmi, there are cheaper alternatives out there but you might have to wait 2 weeks for shipping lol
I think that the composite to HDMI converter might have been an unnecessary purchase. In the list of inputs between HDMI 4 and Screen mirroring, there is one called video that looks like a composite RCA plug, it might require an adapter that should have been included with the TV or something, but by the looks of it, the TV should be able to receive a composite signal and if that's the case there should also be a way to plug in the red RCA plug for mono sound.

They sell that exact "NES" system at the goodwill by my house brand new for $9. I picked one up because I was curious. It worked great. I was skeptical about how the controllers would feel but was surprised that it was actually playable. Although I wouldn't pay more than $10 for the thing.
They are $15 on the temu app. Plus that app is a goldmine of inexpensive weird PC stuff and electronics.

I had one of these, there is NOT 620 games built in, but 310. If u look dead center at the game list on the back of the box, the games repeat themselves.
Rasberry pi should do a better job at running those games... i think ?

I have one as well from AliExpress, with hdmi. It's called the coolbaby. Kind of funny thing
also, worst part about those consoles is there is no save function.....sure on metroid you can use codes, but on mario you have to finish entire game in one run....as you always start from start as there is no save, well there is, but it reset when you turn it off
BTW, you can shoot down in Contra. Jump then hold down on the D-Pad while shooting :)
that chip you saw in there is what is called a famiclone, its basically a nes on a chip and they are in almost every bootleg console that advertises having like a million games on it

that "AV Out", 2xRCA looking things is actually for very old SCART port, analog video output. You could probably for cheap have conversion to VGA from that, but not to HDMI. Essentially you need analog capture circuitry and then output it as digital HDMI, likely with integer scaling. lots of hardware.
That shot of you two sitting on the floor playing contra 2 player was magic.
I purchased one too. I give it away. I didn't even get a box. It was just wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap. It came from a Wish vendor. The connectors for the controllers were not even USB. It was some crap old school looking set up. Eventually I purchased the real classic Nintendo mini and it was modded.

You can buy pc components like rgb (disco lights) fans, they have a decent watercoolers even more..

I made a point to keep my old portable television as they strip outputs out so often these days that it is a pain to plug things in. Even the XBox 360 is old enough to not have HDMI on earlier machines for example.
But it is possible usually to bodge up different connectors or find a box that will do it that doesn't require mains power. though it is easier often to just buy a whole cable. Some things it is totally worth using an HDMI converter though such as a Wii.
Weirdly TV's that cost under $600 often contain legacy ports as they use the older cheaper Media tech chipsets and they also often have 2 tuners too and an analogue tuner which is something beneficial for something older than Dawid.

Back in 1990s there were a lot NES knock offs in our country (Turkey). Everyone had one and the original NES consoles were not purchasable. The funny thing is they were all called "ATARI" even though they had zero affiliation with Atari.
There is enough room inside the console to put the HDMI converter inside 🤣

I bought a cheap second hand PS TV, i installed a custom firmware and boom, retro console machine ready to go, HDMI ready, you only need a ps3 controller. Once you install a custom firmware you can use micro SD as storage.

Should have bought an old TV from a thrift shop like Goodwill, would have had RCA inputs. Might not be a good permanent option but more than suitable to test with.
Pirated makes it sound like they have illegally made copies of games. However there are copyright limits for games and software. Many old school games have been abandoned and no longer under copyright laws.
so going back to see if you could use them on your PC there a tutorials on how to make them work on Windows 10 and Linux

Oh my fucking God. No joke, this exact same console was available for a few weeks at my local variety store. They often have things like knock off Gameboys and shit, and they had that NES thing there for a while
I got a more basic version of that console thats not mirrored and that only uas the ab buttons on it and instead of usb it uses propritery nes like conectors and has stereo rca connectors.
That definitely looks like it runs better than the sega mega drive collection emulator I bought off of steam recently 🙁

Weird voodoo foo thing? I snagged one of those fake Xbox consoles that, while they run like crap on certain emulators? The cheap knockoff Playstation controllers? They actually work on my PC. I checked the entire configuration, every button works. Even some games on my PC recognize them AS Playstation controllers, mapping the buttons for quicktime events (such as in Blacksad on GOG), to the original PSX controller button scheme.

Most TVs come with a RCA adapter that looks almost identical to the one that came with the console.

I got the same knock off Model as you did just not from wish so most likely paid more than you did.
Hold onto your Lugnuts wish doesn't just sell knock-offs they actually sell counterfeit items.
What I mean by that is just about all the baofeng ham radios are counterfeit and the baofeng website even shows this in their website.
This has been an ongoing problem since they have to be regulated with the FCC.
Counterfeit's have been popping up through wish and eBay even Amazon.
The complaints are not unwarranted but, this is kinda cool niche thing. That's the way i look at it. Some can be bad but some can be that perfect combo of bad but good. Just gotta find those.

ive bought a multi-colored wired gaming gaming mouse for a whopping $30 with free shipping ( keyword FREE... took 3 months to arrive -_-) but hey... no complaints. 80% of what ive bought was absolute junk but sometimes you get lucky with say this mouse ive had that works decently on all games ive played for the last 2 yrs.

Fun fact: Chinese manufacturers can get away with ripping off copyrighted designs because in China, there is no copyright law. They have free reign to bootleg whatever they want with the only real repercussions being if they start selling those items in a foreign country with copyright law... THEN the law / customs gets involved!!

I was scammed by the seller of Wish by not getting the right item. And if you ask me Wish is also liable coz their customer support doesn't put effort to recover my money.

Defending wish is a lot like punching yourself in the stomach. Yeah, you can do it, but it's gonna be painful and in the end you've done nothing but hurt yourself.

Getva raspberry pi zero for 10 bucks and put retropie on a sd card on it thats cheaper than thid thing and much better there are also nes raspberrypi cases.
I was able to use my old DVD player to pass it through to my TV.

lol i have this. paid 5 or 6 america coins for it at a store that liquidates Amazon returns every week. (like, they fill the store and completely empty it over 5 days then repeat. got my XFX 6900xt black edition, 1660ti, i7-9700k, i9-9900k, ryzen7 3700x and more for $8 each... EACH.)
It is definitely a fun little "almost R-Pi". my and my fiancee also hit up contra together for about 7min lol

I really like my NES I really should try find some old used NES games. I can play any NES game free and easy from my pc on a emulator but is not the same feeling. I like use the old school NES controller is a totally different feeling :).
