The new game was obviously easier than the original since I was able to slice the hellhounds down to size on my first visit. In the original, you were wise to avoid them altogether because they did about twice the hit point damage lol
I also destroyed those hounds but that’s cuz I took a detour to the necrol before continuing the story and and when you’ve fought your way through the necrol and have the appropriate gear and levels for that you’d naturally have an easy time with even the strongest enemies in areas you are actually supposed to be in

Im so sad they ruined FF12 with TZA. I wish we had gotten both a Vanilla version and Zodiac version in the same game. The original version was so much better.
@@onirenji Soundtrack isnt the issue, it's the job system. They heard the massive outcry about removing the open boards, and said screw you were going back to traditional FF rules. And thus all the fans who adored FF12 for it's unique different approach compared to other FF and jRPG games felt the game had been ruined by TZA. We wanted a choice between Vanilla FF12 with the updates to everything, and TZA Zodiac mode. Instead we got forced into Zodiac rules only.
That's really the first time I've seen someone complain about the Job System. Especially considering all the complaints about Vanilla 12 that every character basically just becomes the same and the only way to differentiate between characters viability-wise is their base stats, making Basch the best physical attacker and Ashe the best magicks user. The base stats didn't change but now you can actually give your party members roles and you still have quite some freedom in what your characters can do.
@@AkaTrios Then you weren't around for the release of TZA nor the time at which people were playing the IZJS. You seem new to the FF12 community. The zodiac system was the biggest issue that came up with the presentation of TZA and it was so heavily talked about that that the discussion made its way to Square Japan which is where the double job system came from in TZA. The game had no 2nd job system in it until the beta testing, and player feedback forced them to rethink this entire aspect of the game. Their solution was to make it so you could have each character select 2 jobs. They literally had to retool the game specifically because of this discussion. How the bloody hell did you not hear about any of this? Frankly I find it exhausting to try to talk to someone who cant even read the first comment properly, and then wasnt even aware of the biggest issue that the community of the game had when TZA was announced and tested. Please be more diligent. And even more so irritating is claiming you have freedom with the character when the job system literally takes away all freedom you have to expand a character. This is such an incredibly poor take that I think you need really rethink how you talk about anything in terms of game mechanics. You clearly havent any idea about the game youre talking about.
@@FranBunnyFFXII this has nothing to do with diligence really, though I admit I was not present for those nitpickings towards something I myself really wanted to see implemented into the game even pre-TZA, as I prefer not to mingle with communities. They're usually too toxic for my liking. It worries me that there even was an outrage about something that should have been in Vanilla in the first place. Now I did not look too deeply into IZJS back in the day, but I did play Vanilla back in I believe 2011, admittedly well after it's release, and even as a 14yo back then it was rather easy to see how flawed the idea of full board access on every character simultaneously is. Most if not all people I talked to back then and up to this day, until you, have agreed with me on that notion. Vanilla FF12 gives you little room to focus on things for characters. Outside of simply not using certain weapons or magick or techs, there was no way to actually build an archetypal character. All characters were basically the same apart from their base stats, as I stated earlier making a lot of things that were in FF12 unnecessary. That in itself is a form of confinement, as you cannot really get one thing without getting the other. TZA, or a Job System in general, alleviated that problem by enabling you to actually focus on different playstyles, which ends up making a lot of weapon categories usable, even viable. Design-wise, a Job System was kinda needed to give an incentive to use different things. The freedom you want is everyone being able to do everything, which I can respect but cannot agree with. The freedom I want is being able to specialize characters without feeling incredibly dumb for doing that. If anything though, this exchange made me realize how good it is to not mingle with "dedicated communities", because that outrage sounds both vile and like a waste of time. Though I suppose they could have put in a Vanilla option for those that enjoyed having absolute "free reign".
anybody else laughing that youtube divide this by chapters automatically based on text in the top left corner so it's just combat log stuff
TH-cam is a certain type of special.
Lmao nice
hahahahahaha I just realized this, so funny
Wow -- I can't believe it, they actually somehow made this song even better??
"The jungle denies us our passage."
I love how in almost all of XII's music , there is a small part of the track that gives a sense of peace..
However small
It's a good way of making the track dynamic so it doesn't get all samey
One of the best!

Their intended true challenge is the weak mode, after beating trial mode.
They still do, all character level 20 and those hounds still take off anywhere from 300-500 damage per hit, I'm playing the remasterd on ps4
I never struggled i also massively over leveled.

better than xv in every aspect
every single aspect. you cant even die in 15. fuck that game. waste of my final fantasy spirit
FFXII is the best video game i've ever played, full stop. But I will admit FFXV had a better combat system, for sure.
All I ask , is that they remake XII with XV's graphics...
I would gladly sell my soul to Square Enix for that
We dont want yoshid touching anything anymore
this sounds so much like star wars!
