The first I took it was in Nov 2020, and then in June 2021, which was a mistake taking a long gap. When I failed the second time, in the parking lot after the test I wrote down all the topics covered, so I made sure to study and review that. Then took it in July and passed! 😭

I took my subject area test last Wednesday and I didn't pass. I took for 6-12 social studies. There were some questions really weird that I've never seen before not even when I was studying and so really easy questions. Know I feel like I can't never pass it.

I failed my teacher certification test for secondary social studies too. I took mine last Saturday (August 8th) but I’ve been using this studying app (study.com) and hopefully I can pass when I retake in September. Now I’m studying 1-3 hours EVERYDAY. Just don’t give up. Testing is hard but with hard work, persistent studying, & confidence we can pass 🤗❤️

In Michigan you have to score 220, doesn’t matter which area you passed or fail. They make us retake the entire test. Does any other state require that as well?
Did you get a break during your 4 tests and how does it work for your first day of school. Does the school give you a layout of what you're supposed to be teaching or do you do that?

Once you've taken/passed the GKT, the Professional, and your subject area test do you have to take them ever again? For example Lifeguards have to retake the tests every two years. Or do they count for the rest of your teaching career?

I wish my school had required me to have them done already bc I am graduating in May and I haven’t taken mine yet 😭😭 I’m taking it Friday and I’m so scared of failing. We haven’t even discussed the test in class, it’s just something I know we have to do.
Usually they recommend for you to study for at least 3 months before taking the test. I think maybe like 20+ hours a week for 3 months should make you wayyyy less likely to fail

I have a cousin who never studied much,we studied together but she gives most of her time to her phone than studies after writing PRAXIS, she passed and I failed😣, I asked her how she did it, just found out she got her help from Mr Thomas ..
The video doesn't specify what questions to write down on the colored flashcards and she doesn't show what the study guide books look like.

FTCE is one of the hardest for sure. I passed the Biology 9-12, but I'm a poor test taker so I always run out of time for everything else.

Being a teacher is a forever learning experience, and you always have to retake certain exams every couple of years

I failed 3 times, i lost money to reviews that never helped but the major thing is that I've not lost hope
Passing the PRAXIS is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself help like Mr Thomas
