I used to eat at that restaurant every day, ordering the same chili chicken from my favorite spot on the bar. I never make a mistake when ordering. One day, I noticed someone sitting in my spot. No big deal. Sat somewhere else and ordered. When my food came I noticed one piece of chicken was missing. The disappointment was HORRIFIC. I never ate from there again. 😂
You were so pleased with that pencil! It makes me want to sharpen a dozen new ones down to 4 inches and send them to you! Thank you for explaining the proper way to eat a soup dumpling. I look forward to trying them!
So happy to see you enjoy some decent 8.0 rated beef chow fun after the horrible beef jerky chow fun you had at Mandalay. That was the worst-looking and smallest-portioned chow fun I've ever seen.
Hey Danny! Been noticing the Ultra. Thanks for the update. As an owner of a 7 which I got from a medical research program I’m currently in. I appreciate the rugged Ultra. I’ve had them since the Model Zero. I’ve always gotten the aluminum ones because I’m a cheap bastard and didn’t get the stainless steel one, which does have the sapphire crystal. They all scratch on the buddy and the other glass scratches like crazy. For the 7 I bought a body shield to try not to scratch it. There’s a TH-cam video by Sam Kohl, AppleTrack, where he intentionally tried to destroy an Ultra to prove the ruggedness. It took 50 massive blows and tried to finally kill the watch but the crystal never shattered. It it tough. I hope it serves you well, enjoy it! BTW this food looked so much better then the Mandalay Bay place.
Another great vid Danny. If you like the pencil (which it seems you do), most golf courses will have them available at the check-in desk. Some (not all) have the eraser too, just kinda depends on the course 😁
LOL Order that isn't yours lands on the table so you sample it with your fingers and then have the staff take it as you didn't order it. Any bets they just dropped it at the right table not knowing that you thought it was finger food? Love it!
Danny you're the man! These are the most entertaining and insightful food and travel videos I've ever come across, keep up the good work, you're killing it!
Hi Danny, We never tried this place in Chinatown Plaza. 6-7 years ago there was a Sam Woo cantonese style restaurant by the market on the other side but it later failed ( lack of food quality I think ). The beef chow fun was a good order at the old Sam Woo. Of course, the beef and rice noodles are the reason you come ! Glad to see this place does a good job ! BTW, that was a painful sacrifice for the camera by eating that hot soup dumpling ! Most people should know to be careful by now ! ha ha
Xiao Long Dumplings should add this video to their website! Its on the west side of I15 but pretty close to the strip! I'll add this one to my list for my future Vegas roadtrip! TY DannY! A natural nine!!!
Secret to not get burn by the hot soup is to poke a hole and let the soup run out onto the spoon then let it cool before eating the dumpling and soup at the same time.
So funny! Carol Burnett told an interviewer once that when she was a youth her mother used to steal the toilet tissue rolls from the restroom of the movie theaters when they went out to see a movie. I think it’s a coastal thing 😂
XLB is a great Chinese restaurant that is well known for dumplings. Glad you had a decent Beef Chow at half the $$$ since you got ripped off at Mandalay Bay.
You can buy pencils with erasers on both ends. You cut them in half and you have two short pencils, both with erasers. It's cheaper for a customer to steal, I mean accidently walk out with a half pencil than a whole one.
Please clarify your private medic job. When you are called for help how do you get to the job location in a timely manner to be of help? It would seem like if a ambulance needs help it would take you too long to get to the job site. Please help us understand how a private medic job works. We also tried the dumpling place and it was very good overall and cheaper compared to Din Tai Fung.
How does the XLB's compared with Din Tai Fung (Aria) , Shanghai Taste or Wishful Dumpling, or Tim Ho Wan (Palms) ? I assumed this place is not as pricey and portions looks above average. Sorry to hear about your losses, Sometimes I call Las Vegas as Lost Wages.
that is the first time i have heard you mention you play. I assumed you did as they don't just comp rooms cause they like you!!! LOL. what do you play. I am a crap play and pretty much everything else except roulette!!!!!
@@dannythemedic i know the feeling , i live in Connecticut so Mohegan is convenient....When I lived in Long Island before my hubby passed away, we went to Atlantic City every weekend...>!!!!!! thats a problem....LOL
@@dannythemedic We will be coming back on our next trip, but will skip the lobster buffet at the palms. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that good, we love your content and suggestions! Safe and happy travels from the Velkers!
Danny Danny Danny! 🤦🏻♀️ If u didn’t want ur iwatch to be scratched… don’t go by the glass and metal. I ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have a screen protector and a clear case for the watch! It’s inexpensive! U didn’t have to buy a $800 watch! 🤷🏻♀️ Unless there was something specific the Ultra has that the basic 8 series doesn’t, but still. Just put a screen protector and a clear rubber case. Save urself some money. 🤷🏻♀️ Just saying. 😊
I don't know how you can drink the Vegas tap water. That is the nastiest water I've ever drank. Even the fountain drinks taste nasty because they use the tap water.

The same thing happened to me.
I bet that person sitting on your spot was really feeling up on your perfect pencil too.
@@michaele.5107 I wouldn't be surprised if someone took a fancy to "my" "perfect" pencil. 😄

Danny, I'm addicted to your uploads...lol

I enjoy your presentations and your feedback.
I wonder if they gave it to a customer after you stuck your fingers in it?

The master of food critic with a good sense of humor.
7:17 - hahahahhaha, OMG DANNY, HAHAHHAHAHA… between the king’s cape and the spicey “i dont think i ordered that” i am cracking up!
Glad you got the good chow fun unlike the last one. I have been meaning to go here now I will. Thank you
That looked very good. Now I want to hit up Chinatown.

I wonder if they gave the chicken dish to the right customer after you dug your fingers in it. 😂
I saw them take it into the kitchen
If we see those Chop Sticks again we will report your Chop Sticks theft. LOL
I tried this place for the first time on my last trip to Vegas, and it was excellent! 😬
Going to try Xiao long Dumpling today. Mostly on your recommendation. Thank You.
Try ordering your beef chow fun with extra scallion like I do. Makes it so much better. I forgot, chilli oil. Mmmm.

This wasn't xld back then. I think the old place and Sam Woo's both closed because of the pandemic.
Hope you took that pencil home so it can continue to fascinate you there.😄
I did!
Are the dumplings better than Din Tai Fing at the Aria?

They knew you were coming, because that was an extra large glass of your favorite iced tap water🥛😂
Been to this plaza yrs ago. This place is new to me.
11:33 Danny doing what we all do with the first xiaolongbao - eat it way too soon and burn the inside of our mouths.
This place looks good btw!
My favorite spot in China town. Damnit I hope it doesn’t get any more popular, I hate waiting for a table there as is
That is something you don't see everyday a man in a cape.
I just had a thought about the pencil; maybe they just struck a line through their error rather than using the eraser.
One of my fav dumpling spots
We've eaten there several times, and it's a great place!
Another great video!
Thanks again!
The chow fun look pretty good

Hi. Do you think the Asian food flavoring in NY city is better than the West Coast?
I had these at this restaurant as my first introduction to xiaolongbao. Now Im on a mission to find something similar in Oklahoma.
u are lucky because over the years these had become more popular so you would have a great chance at finding some!
XLB is a great Chinese restaurant that is well known for dumplings. Glad you had a decent Beef Chow at half the $$$ since you got ripped off at Mandalay Bay.
You were harsh on the poor scallions 🤣🤣🤞🤣
That really is a damned good spoon.
The soup dumplings look much better than place at Aria.
@15:25 Get outta here. What did that piece of beef do to you :) Great call backs on the pencil. This was good, really good. Thanks DTM.
That was fun, gotta go here for that fried chicken in chili oil, I love to feel the burn
hilarious dining experience 😅
The nose knows DTM. Did you "borrow" the chopsticks? Next can you "borrow" the soup spoon for me? Thanking you in advance.

Love bean sprouts and water chestnuts but unfortunately most Asian restaurants now just use diced onions instead, which I hate.
love your humor. you should go for stand up.
If you play Bac in Vegas or Atlantic City they always give you tiny pencils hahaha
Love the dry humor..

Can you repeat that about the watch. I was watching the food.
Try the xlb place across the street
Make your videos longer. You are entertaining.
You got the expensive Apple Watch. Bling Bling.

I have seen wars started over limpy scallions.
That looks a lot better then. Overpriced Mandalay bay restaurant.
Should be " it doesnt take much" ... not "it dont take much....." on the subtitles
What casino did you play ?
To hear that you lost your money on the table

that guy was so unexpected, right?
at 2:11 - you said “ice water” when you usually say “tap water”.. get with the program danny! lol! ok, back to the video.
4:25 Those spoon invented by Japanese not the chopsticks.

👍👍😋😊😎
Sorry, Hecka Funny!!
Golf pencil Danny
Ice water !
😋😋😋😋😋😋👍
the pencil. that's a little longer than the standard golf score card pencil.
You will find that size and with erasers 😱 at some golf courses ( mostly Country Clubs I have found).
