Washing Potato is the oddest damn name for a restaurant, nevermind a Chinese restaurant!! And Jamar's introduction was hilarious lol. The beef chow fun had too much bean sprouts and green onions to me. If they replaced them with noodles or beef, I'd be a happy camper lol. The duck looked so dry!! (I typed it right before u said it haha). U got so many things I love Danny lol, I can't begin to list them all. Why was the egg tart so orange though? It's supposed to be yellow lol. Glad it tasted good for u guys at least.
Thanks for the review! This restaurant is super new, thanks for showing us the menu! Wow $23 bucks for not a lot of beef chow fun! The duck OMG... The duck really looks like the one on the menu 20:10 -- The PORK CONGEE WITH CENTURY AND SALTED EGG -- so I guess in the menu they did say it. But yah this salted egg looks like the ones that can be found in mooncakes, sometimes they aged so long they get hard so it's not really fresh.
When dessert ( egg tarts ) is the highlight of the entire meal ; that means the main courses were very disappointing. Next time go to Chinatown and order a 9 course dinner.
Honestly nothing looked very appetizing. That duck? oh my God! Get yourself over to Chinatown and get some good food. Happy New Year and thanks for all the video reviews. 🥡🥡
Danny you are too honest to be biased! I love the way you state your opinions about food whether you like it or not but I did enjoy your guest.. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Jamar. Steve. Danny. Happy New Year ❤ and more video with Jamar. Steve. We love see them in your video ❤ and Food so Delicious 😋 and Chicken feets so Delicious 😋. L.o.l ❤❤
Jamar, I don’t eat the chicken feet. 😜. Peanut dim sum usually good. Hello Steve ✋. Like a good shrimp dumping 🥟. My wife loves the “fuzzy balls” (taro deep fried). Beef chow fun has bean sprouts ?? 🤔 Duck was and cut up very dry! Duck looked like a waste of time and money. Too tasteless for my liking . Happy New Year toe everyone ! 🎊🎉
Dry duck? Looks like it also got run over by a car while lying in the desert. You all ordered quite a bit of food! It's all about the company and you had the best!
8:28. "This is the first time I've ever seen it been called a mooli cake." Yes, me too. So I looked it up. "Mooli" (मूली) is Hindi for daikon or Chinese white radish, which turnip cakes or Chinese lo bak go is made from. This begs the question as to why a Chinese restaurant would use a transliterated Hindi term for a traditional Chinese dish… 🤔
DtM, I loved this vid. Nice to see Steve again. I enjoy watching him eat and also the way he maneuvers his chop sticks. It's different than you. Nice selection of dim sum. I was nervous about Jamal when he tried the chicken feet because he never spit out any bones. Thanks for trying this place. Portions did look small. Karla in Cali.
I would have sent that duck back as soon as I saw it. You can clearly see that it’s super dry even when she shredded it. I personally think it’s ok to use less sodium when ingredients are fresh and high quality but that doesn’t seem to be the case….coming from NY myself it’s really hard finding Chinese, especially Cantonese cuisine that compares to NY city. That pretty sad that people are rating the desert higher than the food at a Chinese restaurant.
This is another over-priced fancy Chinese restaurant in a fancy Vegas hotel. This is for those who go there just for the decors… not for the food. For the same cost, I rather go to restaurants in nearby Chinatown and have much better foods with much lower prices.
In that lighting, Steve looks like Tung. And since I thought it was Tung, I wondered if a Chinese restaurant located in a Vegas casino and with a name like Washing Potato would have anything on their menu weird enough for Tung's tastes. 🤪
I worked at a chicken farm as a kid and noticed that all the chickens had their feet buried in chicken poop all day long…..that’s the reason I’ll never eat “chicken feet”…😅
guy out there destroying every Chinese restaurant on the Vegas strip....love it 🤣 btw... the name of the restaurant in Chinese it phonically translated to "heatstroke" 😂 that explains the duck jerky
Danny, looks like you are going to more and more fancy food places. I presume that you are slowly but surely transitioning away from being a regular working man, and becoming a fancy man....lol. appreciate all the content. Happy new year!
That "Duck" has been there since COVID days. They should not have served it and taken it off the bill once they saw it crumbled when trying to 'slice it" lol "Some people don't like a lot of FLAVOR" obtuse but TRUE. People in senior homes don;t want spicy, salty, or too sweet. Little kids don't want spicy or anything that isnt a nugget. And of course those who order the "Impossible" Whopper don;t want anything that tastes like BEEF.
Thanks for the review. I always appreciate your honesty when not liking something. You aren't mean, but will point out what's wrong. If you make it back to Resorts World soon, on the Famous Foods Street Eats they have a CHA CHAAN TENG sit down restaurant presented by FUHU. I was looking at their menu online and they have duck. I was looking at the Konlo Egg Noodle w/ Roasted Duck. They do have a whole duck listed on the menu for $99~. It might make a good walking distance contrast video. If you do review this place. Can you please state if it takes cash. Your ramen video showed the hassle of ordering from the screen. It would also be a good contrast video to show the value of human service rather than a computer. Thanks in advance. :)
Danny whats the best Dim Sum spot in Vegas? Going with my girlfriend in about a month and we love dimsum. Haven't been around spring mt road but just want quality food at good price
Ugh! That duck was a tragedy The woman was struggling to cut it. Duck is a fatty juicy meat to begin with They destroyed it Oh, I don't mind that you and Steve were eating at a Chinese restaurant I was told that if Chinese people were eating there, the food must be very good
My thoughts ... If I am with people that I enjoy spending time with, in a place that is clean and comfortable and eating food that is at least medium okay, I am going to be happy. Now please don't get me wrong, I definitely prefer good food and reasonable prices ... but the company I am with would be the first on my list. However, if all the food had all been terrible, or even inedible, then it would get a thumbs down from me. and my friends and I would venture off to a place more appealing. Thanx for the review Danny (your videos are always enjoyable and entertaining to watch). For me, at least for now, I think I will pass on the "Washing Potato". Perhaps after this place has been open for a while and they have received comments and recommendations from their customers, they will make the necessary improvements and it will possibly be worth a revisit ... maybe?
@@dannythemedic if it didn’t make it better, that’s too bad. But also when I go to a place like this, I hope the food isn’t by the books traditional with no innovation. I would go to a “normal” restaurant for that.
I don't know why people think that black people don't eat or haven't eaten chicken feet, cow foot, tenden, tripe..These are all staples in Caribbean cooking. ❤
That duck was unacceptable. It looked like dried roadkill peeled off the 15 hwy. Maybe chef was trying to copy the duck kao soy at Lotus of Siam because they fry theirs but it is juicy and in a nice sauce. That did look like salted egg (hom don) it was translucent not opaque like cheese. They probably did a shortcut by placing a fresh egg yolk in salt and and leaving them in the fridge encrusted in salt - weaker in flavor and saltiness but faster than soaking egg in shell for weeks.
You ordered a nice selection of dishes, but judging from your evaluations, it seems to be average when it comes to the palate. They dreesed up the presentation pretty nicely though.
Lol...the title of this video...Aren't Chinese (people) at all casinos? The BCF looked half a portion. Not only was the duck dry, but, why did the waitress cut it with a fork and spoon? A vise and a hacksaw would've been better. I have never seen a duck like that either here or in China. You should've sent it back. My grandmother used to use salted egg yolks in her congee. That place was expensive! Your $12 har gow and shu mai beats the $10 CAD har gow and shu mai that I just ate in Vancouver, Canada. When the food is that expensive, it better be a 8.5 to 10! Anything less would be unacceptable.
My 1st impression on this place is that the portions are way too small, but the stuff is served traditional Chinese style, but not too many Americans know anything about Chinese food in general so me myself I would skip this place, but the Chinese Chef's are trying to hard to impress the customers as with me,I am very picky where I eat,and I judge everything, from the decor, service, food and the bottom line is the price, and I keep my comments to myself and then I will decide if it's worth going back, but you can't Fool, the Chinese people, and don't try,as in now with the current BURGER wars,as the normal person will just skip the place, then the top Executives are going to have to decide if there Strategy works, because you can put on a bandaid, but it requires stitches, the Harm has begun, no matter how much advertising they do, and the state of California is feeling the Pinch, bottom line, but it occurs to me that either you make it or no and in NYC, there's roughly 35,000 different places to eat, and if you don't impress the person the 1st time, they won't come back and they will tell the whole world, don't go, and don't waste your money, not worth the time and trip, and many of the places I used to go to, I can make it myself, save the money like if you go to a place and order a bacon Cheeseburger DX,plus a beverage, except to spend 15.00,excluding the Tip,and when I was younger my father rarely took us out to eat at a restaurant, and I rather eat at home, like I do now, watch TV, listen to music, or I am on the internet, and I don't go Bored
after seeing the food quality, portion and price, they should call it "washing wallet". that's all.
lol
😂 too funny..

Those prices are absurd. I'll stick to Ping Pang Pong or Yum Cha for dim sum.

Bland broth, duck jerky, and cheese in the congee. That meal is scuffed. 😂
I think I will stick with Chinatown! I love your delivery of the review though! Very entertaining! ❤😂
Thank you!! 😁
first time viewer... I enjoyed watching this video. nothing compares to NYC chinatown :) happy new year!
Happy new year!! welcome!
A most entertaining meal review. Thank you Danny , you never disappoint!
We talked about that dry duck for almost an hour. Too funny😂
Is this place more expensive than off the dim sum like Orchid Garden?
oh yes, prices here are kinda like double, even triple if you consider the portion sizes
You never cease to bring a smile to my face 😊
8:28. "This is the first time I've ever seen it been called a mooli cake."

Happy New Year Danny, Steve n Jamar!
I don't like peanuts in my dumplings neither!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year. Wishing you nothing but the best for 2024. 💯
Uncle Danny that Duck was as dry as a pop corn fart
The fuzzy ball is taro puff with minced pork. Also try mixing the dry duck into the congee to rehydrate it.
Excellent technique with the spoons Danny - dai low style
Of all the Chiu Chow Dumplings they always made in with peanuts over here in SF Bay Area, even when I visited HK or Macau
Omg you got me with the extra guest 😂😂😂
The salted egg looks like the dry eggs from that fossilized duck.
I would have sent that duck back as soon as I saw it. You can clearly see that it’s super dry even when she shredded it. I love Chinese food. I must try Fountainebleau.
Chicken feet and Nevada desert duck at the Washing Potato..gimme a napkin my mouth is watering....Not!

That piece of salted egg does look eggy, but the entire meal experience is too strange and too expensive. They killed the duck, it is not food!
great review!!! Thank you!!
You could see how dry that duck was when she was shredding it!😂…And to me that close up piece from the congee soup looked like egg yolk..😊
Thanks for Sharing I ordered The Wonton soup at The Cosmopolitan Casino at China Poblano too it was very Bland I had to add soy sauce too ! Not good!
I would have stuck that dry duck in one of the soup broth concoctions! :) Steve is as quiet as Tung!
steve did that, no help!
Nothing can wash down that duck😂
I would have given back to the kitchen!
What the duck?
I worked at a chicken farm as a kid and noticed that all the chickens had their feet buried in chicken poop all day long…..that’s the reason I’ll never eat “chicken feet”…😅
desert duck was funny
rofl, Can I have the dry desert duck dish. Happy New Year
Was that Tuang I hear in the background?, why isn't he in the video??, the food looks good😋*
Was that goji berries on top of the siu main or little pieces of lop cheong. ?
Duck looked dry even on picture in the menu
that's what Steve and Jamar said!
Way too too expensive for dim sum
Once you have dim sum in NY. Cheap and good. Spoil it for every where else.
Beef chow fun looks good, but child size. Chef would have to be a total idiot to overcook duck to dryness.
Danny, maybe if you put some of that dry duck into that flavorless broth, you would have something workable.
steve tried that with congee, no dice
guy out there destroying every Chinese restaurant on the Vegas strip....love it 🤣 btw... the name of the restaurant in Chinese it phonically translated to "heatstroke" 😂 that explains the duck jerky
I don't care about bias...where is Tung ??!!! We want Tung!
Love you too Steve.
Danny, looks like you are going to more and more fancy food places. I presume that you are slowly but surely transitioning away from being a regular working man, and becoming a fancy man....lol. appreciate all the content. Happy new year!
ehhh no, I had a comp! I would never go there if I had to pay!
Who would think a Chines Restaurant would be called Washing Potato...
😮😮😮nope!! I'll go to Yum Cha. !!
Happy New Year 2024
year of the dragon
wishing you and everyone
a very prosperous and
happy new year
beautiful video
For 36$ I would have sent back the dry duck🌻

Good review guys. I think I'll skip that one!
how do you know if the har gow etc is frozen commercial grade
perhaps via visual inspection? i dunno
Now take him to a GOOD Dim Sum place... Somewhere that has flavor .m👍🤪
Danny whats the best Dim Sum spot in Vegas? Going with my girlfriend in about a month and we love dimsum. Haven't been around spring mt road but just want quality food at good price
girlfriend? try tim ho wan at palms... girls like that kinda stuff
another commenter said go for their sticky rice,
@@dannythemedic will this make me go broke before video poker? LOL
it looked ok ty for sharing
Ugh!
That duck was a tragedy
The woman was struggling to cut it. Duck is a fatty juicy meat to begin with
They destroyed it
Oh, I don't mind that you and Steve were eating at a Chinese restaurant
I was told that if Chinese people were eating there, the food must be very good
This particular duck is usually cut up and presented as a half duck as you ordered
haha, that was the worst peking duck I have ever seen! what an embarrassment.
its not peking, it a dry duck dish
@@dannythemedic I lived in Bay Area, never heard of dry duck dish! This concept does not exist, they are simply poor at what their doing.
Wonder if the beef chow fun here is better than the $32 place or not? At least here you get the magic in Chinese wok...team wok hay!🎉
I did like it better than the 32 dollar place
Did she find that duck in the parking lot? Overpriced, small and bland portions what a letdown.
Great Review- strange name for sure.

Send back the wonton noodles!
The duck looked drier than roadkill.
nice place there at Fontainebleau
Who have the best roast duck in Vegas?
Danny did you try to order fried chicken and collard greens with black eyed peas with a side of pork necks?
nooo
There is Chinese inside? oh, Chinese restaurant... I get it now.🤣
Better food and better price for Asian cuisine on Spring Mountain West 😄
Look like egg yolk. But what matters is does it make the congee good? Even if it was cheese.
no it did not... it threw off the congee.. because pai don sow yook jook is a classic, you cant mess with it and add stuff that was never there!
@@dannythemedic if it didn’t make it better, that’s too bad. But also when I go to a place like this, I hope the food isn’t by the books traditional with no innovation. I would go to a “normal” restaurant for that.

TUNG wont eat there
I miss the old Vegas. The new Vegas is not my cup of tea.
old vegas is still here... at the el cortez.. lol
Warning ⚠️ they serve plastic rice and noodles 😊😊
no they doonnttttt
Yup looks like salted duck egg yoke. You guys must be starving after this.
I was not hungry afterward!! not because I was full, but I just wasnt hungry
@dannythemedic Lol lost your appetite after horrible foods especially the mummified duck.
@dannythemedic When I was at Beijing, their Peking Duck has no resemblance to what we have here in the states.
